      Private souks shopping tour
Yahya was an excellent tour guide I was able to make all of the purchases I wanted and get to experience so many new things such as seeing how the dough is made into bread in community oven, Berber style rugs, herbal pharmacy where they were making argan oil and the shop where they were making leather bags and shoes. These are just a few stops along the way but it was a great time!

      Marrakech highlights
Outstanding tour seeing all of the major sights in 4 hours. Guide was a born and bred Medina local who knew people right through the old town. Very informative, interesting and entertaining. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Lots of Fun and Good Company
The best experience! The host is AMAZING and the food was absolutely delicious. Luckily we reunited with a family we met on another trip which made the experience more fun. My husband and I highly recommend doing this cooking class.

We loved our tour with Yaya! He was warm, fun, and well informed. He tailored our tour to our interests and showed us places we never would have seen or found on our own. We had a fabulous time with Yaya!

Fantastic tour, brilliant team, couldn’t recommend enough!
What a fantastic trip. I came with my Mum who can be a nervous traveller so I wanted to make sure she felt safe & comfortable. We had a private tour with Yaya and our driver and I couldn’t fault them. They were enthusiastic, courteous and kind. Yaya got us water and snacks, we visited the Bahia Palace, the souks, the Secret Garden and Koutoubia Mosque. There was no rush and we felt we had time for everything. He showed us where the many items in the souks are actually made which was fascinating. There was no pressure to buy anything at all. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this trip to anyone. I plan on returning to Marrakesh with my husband and will definitely use this company again.

      Great escape from the city
My partner and I opted for the Private Atlas Mountains Day Trip - Regular without Camel Riding and had a fantastic time. Communication from Nadir at the office and Abdennour (our driver) prior to the morning meet were easy and straight forward. On the day Abdennour was on time and greeted us with a warm welcome. We got to know him during our day and he is a lovely guy. It felt like catching up with an old friend. Abdul our guide for the Mountain and waterfall hike was also extremely friendly, welcoming and took good care when assisting my girlfriend across the large rocks and slippery decents. Our trip also included a Tajine lunch at a Berber house which was a fantastic experience and very different to the creature comforts of home. The family were very friendly, interactive and humble. The chicken and vegetable Tajine was super tasty. A great reward post hike. This was a brilliant trip and we both highly recommend it. Something very different to Marrakech centre.

      Amazing cooking class experience
Had a fantastic time at this class with my friend! The farm setting was beautiful, and our chef Khaoula was super friendly and helpful. We learned a lot and the food we made was absolutely DE-LI-CIOUS (especially the chicken tagine). Highly recommended!

      A delightful Moroccan cooking adventure
The class with Khaoula was amazing! Her warmth and expertise made the experience amazing. We cooked a delicious tajine using fresh ingredients in a really nice farm setting. Her passion for Moroccan cuisine truly shines through. A must-do for anyone in Marrakech!

      Best city tour of Marrakesh!
A FABULOUS trip! Such a vibrant city and Mohammed was a wonderful guide, so knowledgeable about the city and its history, we learnt so much, not only about the history and diverse cultures but also about spices, argon oil, and the amazing skills the people who live here possess, including making of local dress and carpets. The people were so friendly and welcoming and Mohammed having grown up in the city seemed to know everyone! It was also definitely a bonus to have Mohammed steer us through the Medina and guide us with our purchasing (and he carried all our buys)! PLUS he was so patient and generous with his time, likely to be the longest half day trip of your life, but you’ll love every minute. 110% recommend!

Cooking class on farm - Absolute relaxing pleasure
The cooking class on the farm was one of the best things we did in Marrakesh. Not too far out of town but a world away from the hustle and bustle. A family owned gorgeous farm where the daughter, Khaoula led us through the spices and cooking for one of the best meals we had here. They also had horses as the dad is a big horse person and as a bonus she had one saddled up for our boys to ride. Couldn’t have been nicer and it was a highlight of our trip (didn’t want to leave). Couldn’t recommend it enough!

      Authentic farm cooking experience.
The cooking experience with Khaoula was very authentic. It was at their family farm and we all got to participate in the cooking process. We made a chicken and lamb tagine and my wife has a special request to learn to make Zalouk. The chicken was the most delicious we’ve had in Morocco so far on our trip. It was wonderful being on a working farm where the ingredients were grown. You could taste the freshness of the locally gown vegetables - a real farm to table experience. We would have liked more knowledge of Moroccan food - differences in regional dishes, how variation a of the dishes are made, etc but this is a small thing can easily be improved. Overall this was a wonderful experience and highly recommended. P.s I also got to ride horses which was fun.

Marrakesch with the best guide in town
We had a very nice day with Yayha. He is very personable and knew a lot about the sights. As Marrakech is a great place for shopping, Yahya took us to some great shops that we wouldn't have found otherwise. We can absolutely recommend the tour!

Our tour guide Yaya was incredible! As was the tour!! He kept the whole group engaged throughout, had exceptional knowledge of the areas he took us too and thought about all the little things like tissues and water. But the main selling point of this tour was the food and Yaya treated us to some absolute gems. The spice shop especially! Highly recommended this tour, and I highly recommend you take it with Yaya as you will go home with a full stomach and big smile!

My wife and I are quite adventurous when travelling but with three children (youngest 3) we decided we would book a tour guide. How relieved were we!! Our tour guide Yaya was so patient with us, didn’t rush us one bit in fact at one stage I thought we would exceed our time but Yaya reassured us there was no hurry, I’m sure there is but we didn’t feel rushed.

We had a private taxi sent to our hotel to collect us, brought to the Médina and from the moment we arrived, the tour began! Sitting with locals having soup and boiled eggs (ha ha I know right) felt so authentic, this was not a sight seeing tour, this was an authentic! The spice market is... wow! Go see it, and get a guide!! You will see much much more

Oh nearly forgot, We saw the narrowest streets in the world... and then shared it with Motor bikes lol 😂

Our guide Yaya was really informative and from the start start to finish he was engaging and answered our questions. We were guided through the medina stopping off at eateries sampling what was on offer. Whist walking Yaya explained the history of the medina and the food that was on offer. We tried , traditional soup eaten when breaking the fast during Ramadan, we tried cookies, olives , nuts, pastilla, snails, the Moroccan equivalent to a Big Mac and much more. we saw fresh bread being made then later tasted it at a local restaurant. The tour involves some walking and then it finishes with a three course meal on a roof top terrace where we tried More traditional food . This trip is one I would highly recommend it is extremely good value and you learn about Moroccan culture as well as tasting the traditional foods

We always try and do a food tour when we're on holiday and this one certainly did not disappoint. Marrakech at night is quite intense and having a guide was absolutely amazing and in my opinion essential to navigate all the food delights it has to offer. We were treated to so much beautiful and delicious foods - literally do not eat all day before you come! So many different dishes and flavours and YaYa told us the history of each and every one. YaYa was the most brilliant and fantastic guide and I cannot recommend him enough! He was so friendly, answered any questions, speaks several languages and completely went above and beyond what was expected of him. If I ever visit Marrakech again I will definitely be taking one of the other tours he offers - many of our group were planning to book in other trips with YaYa later in their stay. We were taken through all the intricate alleyways to the best market stalls, street food and shops finishing up in a restaurant overlooking the main square. None of these places we could've ever found alone. You do visit one shop for Moroccan tea and learn about spices and remedies - you do not feel pressured into buying anything but all of our group did. If you have got this far in my review, please do not hesitate in booking a tour and I hope you get YaYa as your guide!

If you are in Marrakech, you have to book this food tour!
Ayay was a great, friendly and open minded guide through the narrow streets of Marrakech. He speaks perfect English.
He showed us a variety of different delicious Moroccan cuisine and especially where the locals eat. After tasting our way through the whole city, we had a 3 course menu on a beautiful terrace with view over the Souks. We are vegetarians and we stated this at the booking of the tour, this was no problem.
Ayay always organized a vegetarian alternative for us - no matter if we ate at a food stand or at the 3 course dinner.

At the meeting point a lot of other guides wait for their clients, so ask around and you will find very quickly Ayay.

Thank you so much for your great review, Julian! We're very delighted to know that you had a pleasant time on our food tour, and that you liked the vegetarian version. Most of the tastings are tailor-made for our guests by our passionate local partners, as we believe at One Life Trips that every guest should be able to taste what the Moroccan cuisine really has to offer, no matter their dietary restrictions or preferences!

Our experience for the food tour was top notch. Yahya helped point us to not only the usual Moroccan tastes like tagine and gazelle horns, but also overlooked shops and tastes that we never would have found ourselves — including specialty macaroons, mssemen, chabakia, even cheese & honey crepes in the Jewish district. All along the way he seamlessly got us through the crowds, saying hi to friends along the way (he could be the mayor of the medina!) We were in good hands and appreciated the hospitality. Thanks Yahya!

This tour is not to be missed if you really want to try a broad variety of different local dishes and street food.
Our guide Yaya was awesome in showing us through the Medina to experience the exotic taste of the best pastries, maccaroni, msemen, batbout... The many different appetizing olives, the thousand fresh, aromatic spices, the superb ras el hanout...
Yaya did not just introduce us only to food and restaurants. Our guide opened a window on the local culture with compelling stories on moroccan tradition and the reasons for different building architectures within the walled city in Marrakech.
    Highly recommended!!

This was an amazing tour with Yaya. He took us around various parts of the Medina, sampling handpicked delicacies and street food before arriving at a restaurant for our main meal. We really felt that we tried the best, as proved by the locals stopping there for their own food. And all of it was amazing. We were looked after very well, with water, tissues and hand gel, so there was nothing to worry about in terms of trying the different foods (if this is something you are a little anxious about).
I'm really glad we booked this particular tour
    Thank you so much,

We really loved this experience. We booked this for our first night to give us insight into the city and help us get our bearings, and so glad we did! Issam our guide, was very friendly helpful and really informative. Finding him amongst the crowds at Cafe de Paris was a bit of a challenge but he soon found us. The tour was just the two of us with him and he tailored it to the things we liked. The fresh orange juice at our first stop was incredible, soon followed by olive tasting and a wander through the souks. Then we visited a small cafe for local pastries and mint tea before walking back to the main square for harira soup at a street stall. By this time we'd eaten so much, but onwards we went to a really unassuming looking restaurant and up on to the roof terrace where the whole of the square could be viewed from a totally different perspective and we saw everything come to life as the sun set. Dinner here was a rustic but delicious lamb tanjia. There was no choice and my friend is vegetarian, but I think if we'd known this in advance, then Issam could have forewarned the restaurant to prepare something suitable for both of us. At the end, we had no idea how to get back to our Riad, but Issam kindly walked us back safely. Would definitely recommend this tour as a fab intro to your time in Marrakech.

Don't consider any other food tours! This is the one to do! This really was a highlight of our trip! Made even more special by Hassan our tour guide!. He met us in the main square and walked us all around the souks in the medina stopping every 5-10 minutes for tasters of Morroccan sweets, snacks, pastries, meats, veg, etc etc. As well as talking to us about the history of Marrakech and other useful information along the way. It was so interesting and there was SO much food! We honestly struggled to eat the 3 course meal at the end of the tour because we'd eaten so many bits along the way! Excellent value for money. Book this tour for one evening of your stay you wont regret it!
