About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Bunty80 contributionsBahía PalaceWe were lucky there were no queues and not too busy, that was near end of day. It is interesting, but unfurnished, nice architecture, I think we spent about an hour, taking our time and photos. It is 100Mad for foreigners, and located in kasbah, recommend going early or later in day to avoid worst if crowds.Written 4 December 2024
- S667MVluciac0 contributionsOverpricedBeautiful, but Busting with people, small area to be seen (it was still under maintenance) and an exorbitant ticket price.Written 3 December 2024
- Vacation443396262710 contributionsBahia Palace - gets very busy very quicklyWorth the visit. Architecture, muqarnas and tiling etc are well worth seeing. AS we were staying nearby, we went there early and there was no queue for tickets although still plenty of fellow tourists, so it was by no means empty but you did have a chance to take photos without people in the shot. However as we were about to leave around 10am we could see the queue for tickets was about 50m long. We had a quick look at the entrance and it was extremely crowded, just full of people.Written 1 December 2024
- mrstraveller10 contributionsNot Blown AwayIt wouldn’t have bothered us to have missed this as it certainly didn’t set us alight, not least because it was so packed with people that it was difficult to move, and getting decent photos was a near pointless aim. Go early in the hope of beating the crowds. The architecture, intricate woodwork and mosaic tiling is rather nice, but being unfurnished, and not particularly old (late 19thC), it didn’t much tickle our interest. And nobody royal ever lived in it either! I tried to pre-book online but this only allowed me to buy tickets with a guide, which we didn’t want. You can purchase self guided tickets at the entrance booth, MAD 100 for foreigners, cash only.Written 23 November 2024
- JodineHyland0 contributionsBeautiful palace 🥰Absolutely beautiful place to visit. Serene and beautiful palace with lots to see and learn. Lots of areas to go into, would definitely recommend the visit.Written 23 November 2024
- mandymcgee0 contributionsThoroughly UnpleasantYou probably have to go as there isn’t a huge amount to do in Marrakech (unless you like shopping, which I don’t) but please don’t make the mistake we did and go at midday when it’s heaving. We shuffled along in a barely moving crowd of thousands, the marble courtyard was closed, the garden was closed, we would have been finished in 15 minutes if it were possible to walk at normal speed.Written 18 November 2024
- SWmuse0 contributionsGet there before the tour groups!Whilst the Bahia Palace is full of spectacular marquetry, plasterwork and painted wood, it is blighted by the curse of tour groups who block entrances and pathways, and generally make a nuisance of themselves. Go early, go before they turn up and you will have the opportunity to spend some quiet time in spectacular surroundings. It’s worth visiting, but it isn’t very big so for the best experience, early is the key.Written 16 November 2024
- Footprints6971080 contributionsGreat tour! Lovely guide! The tour was great! Abdel was lovely and gave us lots of information, answering all our questions. It was great to see lots of the sights of Marrakesh whilst also learning more about the history of the city and the culture. He was really helpful when we realised we didn’t have enough cash left and helped us find the best available money exchange place with good rates!Written 12 November 2024
- DanielK5850 contributionsWorth moneyVery interesting place .Large as well ( some reviews saying is small but it's not true) . Crowded.Price 100 Moroccan dhirmas. In my travel guide is note about once Puff Diddy having a big birthday party here with acceptation of King.I guess it's no so proud to say that 🙂.Written 11 November 2024
- Wombling_Free_75480 contributionsGo if you like tiles (which I do)This is worth visiting but - with very little information about each room - it all got quite same-y, as we went from one heavily tiled room to the next. Still very impressive, but wasn’t very atmospheric.Written 5 November 2024
- khaliq70 contributionsBeautiful Palace with fascination historyThis is a beautiful palace with a lot of history. I enjoyed visiting this palace. It is well kept and things are explained well for the tourists. Overall amazing experience. Must visit.Written 3 November 2024
- jane53England0 contributionsVery busyWe first visited 10 years ago and I think we were the only 2 people in there. What a difference now! MAD 100 entrance fee and it was absolutely jammed packed inside, not a pleasant experience. The gardens were off limits as some work was being done.Written 2 November 2024
- Need_more_free_time0 contributionsBeautiful glimpse of cultural historyCultural visit to see beautiful examples of traditional palatial rooms, ceilings, floors and fireplaces. Worth taking time to wonder round and soak up the atmosphere of times gone by.Written 2 November 2024
- V3507JIsophied0 contributionsBeautiful - but very crowded.GO EARLY! At 10am it was busy. by 11am it was hell. I really think they need to limit numbers. This would not be fun for anyone uncomfortable in a crowd.Written 30 October 2024
- CodyDC0 contributionsNice palace but it can get very crowdedMy Riad was just right around the corner from the palace. I visited in the late afternoon but it was still a little crowded. The palace was interesting and worth the visit.Written 26 October 2024

We were convinced to go as it was described an exciting extravaganza. Upon arrival you are taken around a tacky fibreglass Ali baba grotto, not worth a look. Dinner was tasty, whilst eating you are visited by various group singing and dancing from the various regions of Morocco. The show was in the dark, horseman riding up and down and firing guns was it, a belly dancer in the arena was so far away she could barely be seen, there was a small acrobatic on horseback display, average skill, made more interesting when two if the riders had a dispute in front of us, resulting in one of them sat on the wall sulking. I wouldn't bother
