About
A one-day trip to Ourika Valley or Yureken, as the people of the region call it in Tamazight, is an escape trip to a quiet place away from the world's high speed, the lights, and the noise of cities. A trip to a small perfect place for relaxation, but some people, it has become a natural resort for meditation and treatment of stress and tension because the small town of Ourika is located in the heart of the high-rises of the High Atlas Mountains, on agricultural lands in vibrant green tones, traversed by a river flowing in a valley named after In its name, it is characterized by its smooth flow throughout the year, penetrating the mountains of the region and giving life to its residents.
The town of Ourika was known by several names, including The Hidden Jewel of Marrakesh, as some called the Marrakesh Herbal Pharmacy, because of the thousands of visitors and tourists for the acquisition of rare types of plants, whether for treatment, planting, or decoration.

He gives us a lot of advice about maroccan place to visit and food as well. Consigliatissimo per noi, ci ha preparato al meglio per affrontare questo viaggio ed è sempre stato disponibile per qualsiasi cosa. Grazie mille!Written 29 June 2024
- 518azans0 contributionsReasonableThe driver Achraf seemed like a nice guy, he gave me a tablet and a bottle of water when I was feeling unwell due to the heat. I wouldn't recommend going when it is too hot. The tour seemed maybe a bit rushed. The desert facilities were quite good, there was running water and showers and soap and toilet paper. Merzouga has quite good views of the stars. The hotel was reasonable.Written 10 June 2024

We were picked up and the driver was very friendly. However, the entire trip was like a sales pitch. Our tour guide would leave us in there markets to get preyed on by merchants. The tour was very fast paced and we were often left behind by the tour guide. We were sitting on some chairs and were asked to leave if we didn’t buy food. The tour guide also left us at an expensive restaurant at the very end of the tour while the driver was thirty minutes late to pick us up, so everyone had to order something. The tour guide asked us for a tip at the end—if you did your job well, you wouldn’t need to ask.

Lovely day trip from Marrakech with great driver and guide. The mountains are cooler than the city so be prepared in winter. Lunch is 120 Dirhams, cash only. Plenty of opportunities to buy local goods. The people and culture are the highlight of this trip. The argan oil factory is expensive and you can likely get cheaper products elsewhere but the talk is really interesting. We saw Barbary monkeys, a highlight for me.

Fab day trip, Our driver Esmail was wonderful, drove very safely and was very friendly. We enjoyed the stops on the way of the Berber House and the cooperative and eating lunch by the river was a lovely experience. Unfortunately our guide for the waterfall hike let the day down somewhat. He was more. Salesman than a guide and had no interest in ensuring we had a good time. However, upon returning to Marrakech, we spoke to the manager of the company who addressed the issue immediately, met us for coffee and was faultless in dealing with our complaint. This situation was not the company's fault and they dealt with it fantastically.
Overall we had a good day and it was definitely good value for money and the cheapest way to get to Ourika Valley. Would recommend. Just don't be afraid to say no to buying things or feel strong armed into tipping guides if you don't think they did a good job when you've already paid for the tour.

Ismail was an excellent tour guide, knowledgeable, always helpful and fun. We had a fantastic day, escaping the Marrakesh heat. The views and tea was excellent :)
We finally bought the rug we had been searching for in the Marrakesh souks, and had a much nicer experience choosing the perfect one without any pressure or being rushed - highly recommend kasbah teiferte for rugs
Lunch by the river was also really very nice
Thank you Ismail for a wonderful day!

Brilliant day. We did so much..... visited a fantastic argan oil cooperative, a great pottery, a Berber market (not usually included in many tours), a great lunch, the waterfalls and a traditional Berber house. Our driver Ismail was perfect.... a very safe driver, informative but not too much, cheerful and funny. You couldn't find a better day out!

Ismael was a wonderful guide! We did a couples tour which was private and allowed us to ask questions and go at our own pace. Ismael was informative and had great local knowledge. He knew everyone ever where we went and moved us along through lines and large groups. I would absolutely recommend Ismail.

I and my husband had an amazing time during our trip to the Atlas mountains. Our driver Ismail promptly picked us up from our hotel and he was very friendly and welcoming. We visited a traditional Morocon treatment centre and then a traditional Berber tribe home. We then trekked through the Atlas mountains to around a height of approximately 1700ft high and saw beautiful waterfalls. We enjoyed traditional Morocon lunch of chicken tigen and chicken skewer kebabs, sitting alongside flowing streams of water. It was a beautiful day which ended with Ismail dropping us back at our hotel. Thank you brother Ismail for an amazing trip to the Atlas mountains!
