      Amazing experience!
Traveling with Hamid Yakoubi was an absolute pleasure. His excellent command of Spanish and great sense of humor created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the trip. Hamid’s wealth of interesting facts and information added immense value, making our journey to Ouarzazate an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Hamid, for your outstanding guidance and for making our trip truly remarkable!

The 2 day trip was a beautiful taster, at times magical journey; dotted with regular pit stops and mostly excellent food
We booked Maroc Expedition through GYG as it’s convenient. Having said that if I were to book again I would have booked directly. Their office is conveniently located next to the Kautubia! When we requested they helpfully picked up close to our Riyad. They were early to pickup. Our guide and driver Hasan was professional and truly multilingual! We loved Ait Ben Haddou; the drive across the snow capped high Atlas with pit stops; Ouzazate and off course the camp night in the desert near Zagora! The tents were clean and spacious and a decent spread for dinner and breakfast (especially during Ramadan). Omar our camel guide was super friendly and gets a special shout out!

2 days in the Dunes with very handsy tour company staff
We were an all-female group of cousins on this tour. We opted for the private tour option so that we would have our own van and some flexibility over the tour itinerary, esp. on the return day. The positives: The camp itself was clean and well maintained. When one is in the Dunes, sand is everywhere, and that's not unexpected. WC were really clean and we were OK with the food and music. The rest: Communication from the company is non-existent. Emails are not answered and when I called internationally using WhatsApp, there were assurances that everything will be fine, everything is fine...i.e., a rush to terminate the conversation. On the day of departure, pick up was to be at 8 am from our Riad. 8 am came but.... Crickets. Not a chirp. So I called the office again (like it's our job). Again... everything will be fine... everything is fine... rush to hang up the phone. 15 min later, the Riad staff tells us that the van and driver had arrived. I'm squaring off payment with the Riad but their internet is not working. Within a minute, one of our group comes to tell me: hurry, driver is angry that we are late. We are late?? I had to call to find out if anyone was even coming, not 15 min ago! The gall. Thus began our odyssey with the driver Mohammad - not with a hello or a welcome but with him barking at us that we were making him late. Over the next two days, the Mohammad calmed down but then the next issue emerged. The all-Muslim, Ramadan-fasting camp staff and Mohammad became extremely HANDSY. Considering that prior to one's visit to Morocco one reads so much about how conservative the society is and how, as travelers, we must be modest (which we were - we are a group of 5 Asia-born women, ave age 50), it was appalling how much harassment we endured just because our group did not have any males. Every time we were boarding the van after a pit stop, in the guise of helping us get in, Mohammad would just leave his hand on our body a little too long. When one of us nearly jumped, he eventually stopped. But the group member on the front seat found the driver's hand on her knee when she woke up after having dozed off during the long drive. In the camp, the staff would follow us around and ask to go into the dunes further away to "stargaze" better where there was no light (yeah, right)... and on and on and on. To the point that we made sure to band together to go to the WC, and did not feel comfortable being outside the tent by ourselves. Solo female travelers or female traveler groups, please note.

      Perfect
Our driver was Hamed Yacoubi for the next two days to Zagora desert from Marrakesh. We could talk in spanish with him and he's a really good driver! We stopped several times to rest/wc and to visit some places. Quads, camels, and the campament was perfect! 10 ou of 10

      Flawless
Flawless! We were a bit nervous utilizing a travel agent for our trip to Morocco in December, 2023. We generally plan our expeditions ourselves, and truly relish the entire process. We cannot be more appreciative of the outstanding support and brilliant insight that they shared with us. They organized an adventure that we will never forget. The local guides were very knowledgeable and enjoyable. The car was a comfortable van that we had for ourselves. The accommodations they arranged were an extraordinary price: value proposition some were flat out stunning! Our driver, Ammar, spoke a handful of languages perfecly and was a pleasure to be with. The owner, Yousef, was so attentive to our every need and available whenever a consultation was necessary. Thank you very much Maroc Expedition!!

I wish I could give Maroc Expedition Travel 10 stars, 100 stars!
The best tour/vacation company I have ever experienced, Bravo! Way back in April I started to research a company that would work flexibly with me and my older companion, who had dreamt about going to Morocco for 60 years. I had only been to Tangier previously, and we had a list of 'must sees' and a 12-day vacation limit. Working closely with the wonderful Youssef in the Marrakech office, Maroc Expedition Travel came up with the most perfect itinerary for us - Tangier, Tetouan, Chefchaoeun, Meknes, Volubilis, Fes, Merzouga, Todra Gorge, Dades Valley and Marrakech. The whole trip was done at a great pace with amazing things to see and experience (and eat!) and the most incredible places to stay (special shout out to Dar Rihana in the Dades Valley) But the real shout out goes to our driver, Mohamed, who was a perfect companion for our trip - warm, kind, understanding, going beyond the call of duty every day to ensure myself and my (sometimes very tired) companion had the most incredible trip. Always felt safe, loved, and cared for. Just amazing. If you have never been to Morocco, I recommend you go, and make sure you use Maroc Expedition Travel. The country is amazing, the people are the kindest, warmest and most hospitable you will ever meet. And Maroc Expedition Travel will introduce you to it all!

      I love Morocco
I had the best experience of my life, choosing the tour, 6 days visiting the imperial cities and the Merzouga desert, was the best decision ever. Our tour guide and driver, Mohammed, is a great guy that taught and showed us so much about his culture, lifestyle, history and many many more things. He is funny, outgoing and had an awesome road trip, now he’s our friend. The car was neat, the hotels/ Riads were excellent which all included breakfast. The tour guide in Fes, Azis, was awesome, had a great time with him. I wouldn’t doubt to do and recommend this tour again.

Highly recommended tour. Safe and memorable. Thanks Mohamed 🫶🏻
The experience is fantastic! We did a six days tour. Our driver, Mohamed, was excellent and helped us with everything we needed. We felt safe all the time and in good hands. The camp in the desert has all the required facilities, and the food is delicious. The hotels (Riads) are lovely, and the staff was always kind. Every penny was worth it. Highly recommend.

      Amazing experience
Our 10 days Morocco tour was an overall great experience. Starting with the planing of the trip, Morocco Expedition Travel was very responsive and answered all our questions promptly. We thoroughly enjoyed the visits along the planned itinerary, the beautiful riads we stayed at, the interesting organized visits of numerous palaces, medinas and souks, and the camel trekking over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Youssef Bouni, our guide, was very knowledgeable, patient and solved all our problems promptly. Omar, our driver, was always safe and helpful. We won’t forget the beautiful Berber music that we were acquainted with (and very much enjoyed) and that was playing during the long daily drives. Thank you Youssef, Omar and the team for an amazing experience!

An amazing 10 days in Morroco
I spent 10 days touring Morocco as part of a larger group of Canadian friends. We had an amazing time and cannot recommend Maroc Expedition Travel enough. From the very beginning, the communication with the company was excellent: they proposed a comprehensive itinerary tailor-made for us, and suggested hotels and activities along the way. When we arrived in Morocco, they were waiting for us at the airport. From that point on, we felt really well taken care of: we stayed in beautiful, luxurious riads, had excellent meals in various restaurants and were driven everywhere by Omar – who was punctual, attentive and an excellent driver. We also had an amazing guide – Youssef – who traveled with us during the tour. Youssef made our trip into an experience to be remembered and treasured for a long time. He is patient, caring and very knowledgeable. Because of Youssef, we left with a much better understanding of this beautiful and exotic country and its people. All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend Maroc Expedition Travel to anyone who is looking for help in traveling through Morocco.

      Moha the best
Moha, the driver, was excellent. That day was my birthday and he ordered a chocolate cake with candles to sing me happy birthday in the desert with the bereber people (it was a surprise by his part). Apart from that, he pay many bottles of water for us and do many things for the group. He explain us a lot of things of Morocco and he was so friendly and kind. For sure, I would repeat with him and I would recommend him for every person that want to do that travel or any other.

This was worth the money and then some - did the 3 day trip from Marrakech to Fes via Mergouza, and we were escorted by Karim, who was a brilliant and entertaining guide. He chatted both Spanish and English and stopped off at interesting places - and didn't force us to buy things from his friends. He came out to the desert too and we had such a good night to remember with our small group under the stars, singing and dancing round the campfire.

To better understand this kind of activity and before booking it is important to understand what you are looking for. We chose the company for the excellent reviews online and it is indeed reliable and provides email feedback. Pick up from Riad was on time, the van (private superior tour) was comfortable and the driver was friendly, he provided some insights on places and aspects of moroccan and berber lifestyle (even though this is not a guided tour) and drove really good.
However, the tour has a clear "touristic" and commercial side. A lot of time is wasted visiting so called cooperatives that are actually shops without any interest and the restaurants are tourist traps with the worst food had in Morocco with overpriced fixed menus. These stops looks like mandatory and reduce the time available to visit interesting places (it is a long drive and the schedule is tight).
The experience in the desert is of course breathtaking, the luxury camp is wonderful except for the food.
In conclusion the tour is a good choice if you are looking for someone driving you to take pictures in famous places and have some insights from a local driver, at the cost of wasting time in shops that you would have never visited by your choice. Considering that all lunches and beverage are excluded the value for money could be better. Known all that, the company is a good choice.
If you want to really discover this area of Morocco and enjoy a personal travel, probably better rent a car.

5 star experience! My mum and I (2 female travellers) had an unforgettable and tremendous trip with Moroc Expedition Travel. Karim N'Kob was our driver and guide for 3 day desert adventure from Marrakech to Merzouga. He truly made the experience one of the most memorable we've ever had. He was a very good driver who was knowledgeable and had a fantastic sense of humour. He made a long journey pass quickly with excellent conversation and lots of fascinating stops. We saw incredible landscapes and Karim made sure we were able to see and have a taste of authentic Morocco. When we reached the desert we had a beautiful and luxurious text and excellent food. Despite being cloudy - which is very rare - we enjoyed a exciting camel ride and some traditional berber music around a fire. The accommodation and transport to the desert was also to a very high standard. We would highly recommend this trip and our guide for any travellers looking for a unique, exciting and unforgettable experience! Can't say enough good things about it! If you have the time it's definitely worth doing ☺️

What an experience! Our tour started off by meeting our expert guide Mustapha Ouassou at our Riad in Marrakech for our three day desert tour in Merzouga. The drive from Marrakech to Merzouga is a bit long but we had some great stops along the way where Mustapha explained the background and history not only of the site but of also the locals and their culture. Some of the stops included Bin Hadou Kasbah, multiple view points in the High Atlas/Anti Atlas Mountains, Moroccan movie sets/production sites, Dades Valley, the Goudges du Toudra, and many other view points and of course the Sahara!

    Pros:
    1. Expert tour guide (Mustapha Ouassou) who spoke fluent Berber, Arabic, Spanish, French, and English
    2. Great stops and views along the way to the camp.
    3. Great food and restaurants along the way.
    4. Accommodation on the first night of the trip was 5 start. The food and hotel team were super friendly and great to be around.
    5. The accommodation in Azawad Camp was really good. Our room had all the amenities.
    6. Azada Camp food was really good.
    7. All the camels were in great shape and look like they had been taken care of very well.

    Cons:
    1. Long drive but it was not bad with all the great stops and activities to break up the drive.

Overall, I can’t say enough good things about the experience and I would highly recommend Mustapha and this tour to anyone who wants to learn about and experience the many thing that this beautiful culturally super diverse country has to offer.

Rashid was an exceptional guide, providing us a truly unique experience. He made sure we were always taken care of and comfortable, and never complained when we asked to stop (which was often). Bring your dongle to play music in the car! He let us blast our wide variety of music. We had great time!

We saw so much in our 4 day trek. some highlights included visiting the kasbahs, eating delicious food, riding camels in the desert, watching the sunrise over the Sahara, and enjoying the endless picturesque landscapes across morocco.

It was an amazing experience. The night in the desert was very special and the camel ride to the camp was also incredible. We also booked the quad ride and we will never forget the feeling of driving the quad through the dunes of the Erg Chebbi desert. It was a trip to repeat and we wanted to thank our driver Musti, who took care of us and made the breaks we needed. We are waiting for you in Spain my friend!

The truth is that it has been an unforgettable trip. I recommend it to everyone who wants to know the Merzouga desert. Maroc Expedition Travel is a very serious company, and the organization is perfect, everything is under control at all times: hotel, camp, camels, quads... Anything you want... The meals, delicious... The staff, very friendly... The places visited before arriving at the desert, incredible... and the desert, a dream come true: the dunes, the starry sky, the sunrise and the sunset, the drums in the heat of the bonfire... I had read many positive comments, and they were all very, very, very deserved. What can we say about our guide? Hamid Yacoubi started out as our guide and after spending three days with him during the trip to the desert, we have brought a great friend. A great professional: a very good driver, we told him this on many occasions, a very good guide, always punctual, always with a smile, he explained everything to us in great detail, and gave us very good advice whenever we asked him... Paying attention to us in at all times, with a great sense of humor, very detailed... We had a really good time with him! Thank you so much Hamid, you made our trip really amazing. !We will be back!

I had an amazing experience with Maroc Expedition Travels. The Sahara desert was absolutely beautiful and we were very comfortable in our desert camp. The food at the camp wasn't amazing but I was there for the desert anyway. The feeling of seeing the sunset and sunrise was unforgettable. The drive over the High Atlas Mountains was also a highlight as the villages were so picturesque. The days involved a lot of driving but Musti was great with giving us lots of stops and keeping us informed on what was around us. I felt like I learnt a lot, We also bonded over our love of music from the Sahara Desert region and let me know of other artists I should listen to. Would definitely recommend!

The experience was one of the best of our life. My girlfriend and I have had a great time, the places we visited are marvellous and the desert trip is wonderful. Ghassn, our guide, was the best guide we could have ever asked for, very professional, competent and friendly! He explained us the history of berber culture and historical sites. We recommend the quad experience because even if is not included it's really worthed.

We did the 3 day merzouga desert tour with Karim, and I have to say I don't think it could have been better in any way.

Karim was amazing: funny, talkative, educational and just generally warm. His humour and general demenour kept us laughing and happy throughout.

The tour itself was amazing, we managed to fit a dozen unique and fascinating things into such a small time frame, it was so worth the money. Nevermind how beautiful the desert itself was.
