Unforgettable 4-Day Adventure in Ait Bougmez Valley and Mgoun Summit
We did 4-day adventure through the stunning Ait Bougmez Valley and up to the summit of Mgoun. This journey was nothing short of extraordinary, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural immersion, and challenging trekking. Our trip began in the picturesque Ait Bougmez Valley, often referred to as "Happy Valley." From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the lush green landscapes, terraced fields, and traditional Berber villages. Our guide, who was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, led us on a leisurely hike through the valley. We visited local homes, experienced Berber hospitality, and learned about their unique way of life. The day ended with a delicious traditional dinner, setting the tone for the adventure ahead. The remaining days were as awesome as the first! Overall, this 4-day adventure was an unforgettable experience. The combination of natural beauty, cultural insights, and physical challenge made it a perfect getaway for anyone seeking adventure and tranquility. I highly recommend this trip to nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. Make sure to bring sturdy hiking boots and appropriate clothing for varying temperatures. Hydration is key, so carry enough water and stay hydrated. Be prepared for altitude changes and pace yourself during the climbs. Would I Return? Absolutely!

          Amazing adventure!
The trek through Azzaden Valley was a beautiful journey through lush landscapes, traditional Berber villages, and scenic mountain views. Hassan was an excellent guide, sharing insights about the local culture and ensuring our trek was enjoyable and safe. Erg Chigaga desert was seamless, and the desert tour was truly spectacular. Riding camels across vast sand dunes, experiencing stunning sunsets, and spending nights in a comfortable desert camp under the starry sky were unforgettable highlights. This trip perfectly combines the beauty of the mountains with the magic of the desert. Highly recommend for an immersive Moroccan experience!

          An unforgettable experience!
M’Goun and Gorges trek followed by a 3-day Sahara desert tour was an unforgettable experience. The trek through the M’Goun region was challenging but incredibly rewarding, with stunning mountain views and deep, picturesque gorges. The guide was knowledgeable and supportive, ensuring we enjoyed every moment. The transition to the Sahara was seamless, and the desert experience was magical. Riding camels into the dunes, watching breathtaking sunsets, and spending a night in a traditional Berber camp under the stars were highlights. This combination of mountain and desert adventures is perfect for anyone seeking a diverse and immersive Moroccan journey. Highly recommend!

          Incredible 3-Day Berber Village Tour
We have just returned from a 3-day Berber Village Trek and it was AMAZING. We’d read all the great reviews before coming and they were 100% accurate. Amazing customer service from Hassan, incredible guide (Mehemed) and wonderful cook / mule carer (Abdul). My son (16) and I were the only two on this particular excursion and were made to feel so welcome with our guide happy to chat and answer questions. All the food we were served was delicious - see photo - so fresh and tasty! We would definitely recommend Amazing Toubkal Trek to anyone wanting a unique experience of the Atlas Mountains.

          Fabulous Mount Mgoun trek
We did the 6-day Mgoun round trek and it was absolutely fabulous. Abdou was an excellent guide and Mohamed and Khoya Moha cooked delicious. The trek was well organized, with each day a bit more strenuous than the previous one. The scenery, landscapes and views during the trip were stunning. Highly recommended.

          Fantastic trip up Toubkal
The Mount Toubkal summit, was an absolutely incredible adventure. We were so well looked after by our incredible guide Abdhou who picked us up from Marrakech airport and took us up the mountain. The food over exceeded all our expectations and there was plenty to eat. This package is such good value compared to big UK based companies charging a fortune.

A wonderful experience. Our guide, Mustafá, was a lovely guy, and our chef, Abdul, prepared lovely meals on the road. A real experience climbing up at night. Bring warm clothes if you do it in winter like we did!

A fantastic experience with a wonderful guide.
Would thoroughly recommend this trip. Such a variety of experiences from the summit of Mount Toubkal to rising camels in the Sahara desert which was a surreal experience. Hassan was the best guide, organised, calm, patient and had lots of interesting stories to tell about Morroco and the people there. The food was great.

Amazing hike with a great guide
We (two friends and I) did the slightly shortened version of the full M'goun trek (3 days) with Hassan as our (great!) guide and the help of Mohammed and Mohammed to take care of the cooking and the tents, carried on the backs of two mules. The hike was among the highlights of the two weeks we spent in Morocco. It took us off well-trodden routes and through some of the most stunning landscapes the country has to offer. Hassan arranged accommodation for us in a 'gîte d'étape' in the village of Arouss which was very pleasant and a perfect vantage point to start the hike. Tents on the hike were provided and very comfortable. The food that was prepared for us was great too. Hassan was very communicative and friendly and great company. I HIGHLY recommend this trip to anyone looking for an adventurous and active few days in the beautiful High Atlas at a very affordable rate.

Just a perfect trip in the Atlas Mountains
My son and I had an amazing hiking trip with Hassan, who picked us up from our Hotel in Marrakech. Hassan is a brilliant experienced tour guide and Mustafa our cook prepared absolute fresh local food for lunch and dinner. Simple and clean accommodation in the villages. We hiked in 5 days through the Berber villages including Mount Toubkal.

This was a life time beautiful experience. Sunset, over night stay and sunrise at the Sahara desert was amazing. Our guide Hassan was wonderful and caring. He guided with care through out the experience. I’d definitely recommend this tour. The drive to Sahara was long however the scenic view on our way and back was breathtaking. Many photogenic spots on our way there.

We also did 2 day ascent to Mt. Toubkal. Once again Hassan was very helpful throughout the trek. Definitely recommended.

Thank you Hassan for the wonderful experience.

Three day trek with Jose was great. He was an excellent guide and our cook/ mule skinner was also great. Complete meals for of tea, salad, tangine, desert even for lunches. Well organized and easy to book. Transport from Marrakesh and back very easy and was included in price. We did three days:7 miles, 13 miles, and 7 miles. Great way to see the villages. Accommodations were hostel style. Jose was very helpful guide!!!

My husband and I recently embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime journey, combining a thrilling 2-day Toubkal trek with an awe-inspiring 3-day Sahara desert tour, and we couldn't be more pleased with the experience.

From the initial inquiry, Hassan demonstrated unparalleled professionalism and hospitality. His responsiveness was remarkable; he swiftly addressed all our questions, providing detailed information that showcased his in-depth knowledge of the region. This made us feel confident and excited about the upcoming adventure.

Flexibility is a key component of any great travel experience, and Hassan truly excelled in this regard. Circumstances necessitated some adjustments to our plans, and Hassan not only accommodated these changes but went above and beyond to customize our trip.

Hassan's amiable nature added an extra layer of enjoyment to the trip. His genuine kindness and enthusiasm for sharing the beauty of his homeland shone through, making us feel more like welcomed guests than mere travelers. It's clear that he is not just a guide but we now consider him our friend.

        We miss you already!

We had a fantastic experience and would definitely do it again! Hassan arranged everything so we had no stress along the way. Husain was a great guide up Toubkal and was kind enough to invite us for tea at him home after the treck as we wanted to explore his village. Hamid was our own personal chef up Toubkal and very sweet. Mohamed our driver guide to Fes was very friendly despite being unable to speak English.

        Cons of the tour
We paid for and were promised an English speaking tour guide for the Toubkal treck and car driver guide. The treck guide spoke decent English but you could tell he didn't understand us at times. The car driver guide spoke NO English which made things really difficult. He also wouldn't use the air-conditioning. The day before the driver picked us up Hassan told us over the phone our driver will speak English.
On the last day we where meant to have lunch in Midlet and pass Azrou then Ifrane and its huge cedar wood forest to see the monkeys. However our driver didn't take us.
We did not know we were doing a sunrise hike on Toubkal and was not advised to bring warm clothes as temperatures would be very cold - BRING WARM CLOTHES AND HEAD TORCH FOR THE SUMMIT.
The overnight at the Basecamp is horrendous, you sleep on a large bunk bed with 20-30 other people. The bed rocks everytime someone moves and you listen to other people all night. Don't expect to get any sleep - bring earplugs and an eye mask.
We paid €560 each, our tour was private this is why it was so expensive. After speaking to other tourists along the way you can find a group tour and it'll be cheaper. But I didn't know you could organise it once your here. I also liked the comfort of having it pre-planned before I arrived in Morocco.

Here's the itinerary of 2 day Toubk ascent combined with 3 day Desert tour to Fes.

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – The Base camp of Toubkal

You'll drive from Marrakech to Imlil and trek to Toubkal Refuge via Mizane Valley. We walk towards the village of Aremd and then the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. As we continue east and cross the flood plain, our route takes us along the mule tracks and into the high rocky cliffs. From here, the trail continues with a steady climb and snaking its way up to the Refuge. Approx 5hrs of walking. Overnight in the Refuge.

Day 2: Base camp – Toubkal Summit – Imlil

We trek to the summit of Jebel Toubkal about 4am to see the sunrise (4,165m) - the highest peak in North Africa. Our route takes us to the south cirque, crossing the stream above the Refuge and heading towards one of the mountains' numerous screen fields. The walking is relatively straightforward, but the altitude and screen seem to impede. However, the views along the way will make the journey worthwhile. Cresting the ridgeline, we'll find ourselves on the plateau, from where it's a short walk to the summit. The vistas across the surrounding landscape are also breathtaking. From here, there's an open view in every direction, right from the Marrakesh Plain to the northern High Atlas and the Anti-Atlas. Retracing our steps, we'll descend the mountain and head back towards Imlil, where we spend the night in a local Guesthouse.

Day 3: Imlil - High Atlas - Telouet - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley
Depart at 08:00 from Imlil to Ouarzazate via the High Atlas mountains Tizi n'Tichka pass throughout the high Atlas Mountains range.Visit the Telouet Kasbah and the universal Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah as it has been named by UNESCO in 1987.We'll pass through Ouarzazate, or what we call Hollywood of Africa since it is a famous destination for filmmakers. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
From Ouarzazate We drive towards Dades Gorges but before we drive along valley of Roses. We get directly to Dades valley where we will enjoy the beautiful green fields of figs and almonds. We will have an overnight in the panorama hotel overlooking the Dades valley. 10 hours drive.

Day 4: Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga Dunes (Erg Chebbi)
From Dades Gorges we will pass through many hamlets and villages along the way before we arrive to Todra Gorges. From Todra Gorges we start to drive towards Erg Chebbi along arid landscapes and volcanic mountains of the Anti Atlas, before we pass through a town called Tinjedad the nerve centre of the area. We pass Erfoud, it's very known with it's fossil's factories where they make beautiful shapes and pieces from rock of the neighboring mountains. Then we'll head for the Erg Chebbi the sea of sand. We continue deeper into the desert landscape, until dunes appear in the middle of nowhere, Overnight Camel Trek in a Berber tented camp. 6 hours drive

Day 5: Erg Chebbi - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Fes
After having breakfast, camel trek back to the hotel at the dune line for a quick shower. We drive towards Fes, we stop on the road to enjoy the panoramic views over the Ziz valley before we cross the High Atlas Mountains again. We passed by a town called Midelt. We continued to the legendary city of Fes. 9 hours drive.

Toubkal was our favourite part of the tour and we would 100% do it again as it was a great way to see Morocco.
