Had a great trip out to Imlil Valley. Hassan, our driver, was lovely. We stopped off on route at an Argan Oil Shop, then on to a locally-held market, which was literally an unforgettable experience. Then Lachen met us at the Imlil Valley area, and we had a lovely walk. Then back in the village we took part in a tea and bread ceremony, followed by a delicious lunch on a terrace facing the snow-tipped Atlas mountains. Lachen was extremely knowledgeable about the ecology, history, and other relevant topics to the area throughout our excursion. Great experience, I would highly recommend it!

Lahcen organised a 3 days/2 nights solo trek up Jebel Toubkal for me in February 2025. The entire experience was excellent, and I highly recommend his company: - My mountain guide Mohamed was highly skilled, super friendly and intelligent, and a good motivator at times when the climb got tough. A top professional and great company! - Hassan, who chauffeured me from Marrakesh to Imlil and back, was punctual, friendly and a safe driver. - Communication with Lahcen and his team was smooth from the start. Any questions I had were answered swiftly and clearly, and the trip was tailored to my exact wishes and needs. Last but not least: all of this at a great price, too!

Lhcen gave us an amazing tour and hike of the valley, giving us information on everything we passed and answering all of our many questions. His English is perfect and his knowledge is bountiful. The hike was beautiful and gave us amazing views of the nature and villages in the valley. Lhcen knows the trails and area so well that he can tailor the hike/tour to your group and to be however long you would like. When we arrived back in the village of Imlil he showed us a traditional Amazigh household and my mother made bread with the house mother and my brother made tea. It was a true experience into the culture, and Lhcen and Abdul explained all the different practices and customs of traditional Amazigh households. After we learned and cooked, we ate a DELICIOUS (benin bizaaff) meal on the terrace of the family house. This was my second experience with Lhcen and Abdul, the first being the hike to Toubkal. My experience was so amazing and the hospitality unlike any I’ve received before. It was so good I had to come back with my family, and certainly will come again when I’m back in Marrakech!!

We are an Australian couple, aged in our mid seventies but still active, and recently we had a wonderful experience in the High Atlas Mountains. We stayed two nights in Riad Jnane in Imlil, which is beautifully set under spectacular snow capped mountain peaks. On our full day in Imlil, we were collected by Lahcen, for a wonderful day of hiking off the beaten track, through walnut forests, along old trails, passing through villages pressed on mountain slopes. Lahcen tailored the hike to our ability, providing us with hiking sticks, and sharing wonderful insights into the way of life still enjoyed by local Berber people. One of the many highlights was a visit to his family home for mint tea refreshments, and being warmly welcomed by his family. What a memorable experience. We highly recommend it. The Atlas mountains are amazing and having through opportunity to go on to the highest Peak is just incredible and very emotional. Me and my boyfriend booked already the stay at the Refuge but did not know where to find a guide therefore we asked Lahcen, our Authentic Lodge host. He was so nice to arrange the trekking with a person of his staff, Omar. We immediately found a connection and a similar pace. We enjoyed the trekking a lot and had a great time.

This half-day trip to atlas mountains was the highlight of our vacation in Marrakesh. We booked the trip through Airbnb, and Lahcen immediately contacted us to help plan the trip. He also arranged a taxi ride to Imlil, providing us with a truly exceptional service. We started the hike early in the morning, and the difficulty level was moderate to hard. However, Lahcen was flexible and accommodating, ensuring that we could choose a hike that suited our comfort level. The views were breathtaking, and Lahcen's expertise in photography allowed us to capture every moment of the hike. He was very skilled with the camera, making our trip truly special. He was very knowledgeable with the trek and invited us to sample some wild fruits along the way. We visited a few Berber villages that seemed to have been frozen in time. As we neared the end of the hike, we went through stunning waterfalls. The trip ended with delicious tagine and breathtaking views of the mountain villages

An extremely special experience with our local guide Hassan. We requested a hike with landscape and culture, and he did not disappoint! We didn't have a car, so he met us at our accommodation where we started our hike into the Ourika Forest National Park. Very knowledgeable of flora, fauna and the geographical area, Hassan shared his experiences with us first hand. The hike was challenging at times but tailored suitably for our fitness ability. The vistas were amazing and worth the climb! Following the hike, we enjoyed lunch at a local eatery (additional cost) in the village known as 'The Scorpion'. Highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to explore Ourika!

I climbed Jbel Toubkal through Lahcen organization with the guide Idriss, which made my stay a unique experience. Idriss is an outstanding professional and will show you the true Amazigh experience along the climb to Toubkal. Idriss supported me every step of the way up and made this adventure fun and profound. The meals, views ans whole experience was life changing for me. I fet like I was a friend and not a tourist. It was difficult to say goodbye to this. I highly recommend it!

Our Toubkal hike was nothing short of incredible! Moroccan Mountain Guides - we have used your company twice and will continue to use you every year. Mohammed was so supportive and patient with ur group of mixed levels of experience. We all submitted together, the incredible High Atlas Mountains will stay with us forever, such an overwhelmingly special trek and challenge. Toubkal with Moroccan Mountain Guides was exceptional! We were mind blown with the support, patience and kindness of our guide Mohammed. Our group had varied levels of experience and Mohammed was able to ensure everyone felt safe and supported. My Toubkal was a challenging and extremely rewarding trek. We will be signing up to do this hike again with more friends! Hamid’s food on the trek was so yummy, his meatballs were delicious! Thank you Lahcen and guides.

Lahcen is a fantastic mountain guide who grew up in Imlil. During our four-hour hike through the Berber villages and into the mountains, he told us a lot about Berber culture, the region and nature. He is extremely friendly and helpful and also gave us tips for excursions in the area and arranged great accommodation. He responds very individually to wishes. We can recommend a tour with him to everyone!

I traveled solo & joined another group that had booked this tour. We did a 9-10 km beautiful circular hike with fabulous views of the mountains and countryside plus learned lots of interesting cultural tidbits as we passed through villages. We had a huge delicious late lunch at Lahcen's home/Authentic Toubkal Lodge and then walked a short bit more afterwards to meet up with the van. Lahcen was super accommodating, friendly, fun & informative and our driver Abdul was also very nice & safe. Would definitely recommend this experience.

It was last minute and the communication was great with Lahcen I was the only person so I could also choose where I wanted to stop and take photos or see things Hasan the driver was so friendly and he met me right outside my Road on time He was so friendly Then Siad my guide took me to great spots to the local Berber market and to see other villages ! A really lovely easy day and lunch was great !! Highly personal and special thank you”

Lachen was a wonderful host and tour guide. When we were making a plan he sent a note that read, "nothing is impossible, everything is possible. Words to live by. The 5 hour hike in the mountains around Imlil went by quickly as we talked about many things and took in the sites and local village culture. Lachen is wonderful at assisting, as needed, with the physical aspects of the hike and pointing out interesting aspects of the surroundings as we went. The hiking was wonderful, but maybe the best part was lunch with Lachen and members of his family and some friends after the hike was over. The food was delicious local tangine cooked and the vibe in Lachen’s home was so friendly and real. We couldn’t have been happier. We can’t wait to do this again - maybe for longer next time. We chose a half day morning trek, which we would totally recommend. However, next time we are thinking that an overnight, multi day trip would be really fun. Thank you Lachen

My two female friends and I had the best time on this trip! Our driver/guide, Hassan, was extremely knowledgeable and great to be around. We were sad to leave him at the end of our three days. He made sure we had everything we needed from water to perfectly timed rest stops (you will spend a lot of time in the car driving to the desert). We stopped almost every two hours to refuel, take bathroom breaks or learn about a site. The company had taken care of our accommodations and other local guides (be sure to bring cash to tip!). They made a logistically challenging trip into a seamless experience. For a private tour, you can’t bear this price! we would 1000% recommend this experience to anyone.
