- Mobile208386834610 contributionsGreat day tripWe loved this experience. The riverside restaurants are amazing to see and the food at our restaurant was delicious. We hiked up to the waterfalls. The temperature at this time of year was perfect for hiking. We continued quite far up to where it was a lot quieter and put our feet in the pools. The tour guide was friendly and spoke to us about the local area. We would definitely recommend this experience.Written 10 January 2025

- Quest7863120 contributionsOurika Valley waterfall tripWe took a taxi to get us to the waterfalls, but he seemed to fall into the pattern of this tour. The drive up was lovely, although not really wanting to get a Berber house tour we went along, found it quite interesting, guide was very pleasant and respectful. Did the same stop as others at the waterside restaurants. They are beautiful and quaint. Being brutally honest the cushion seating is not a comfortable sitting position for the majority of Europeans to eat. We decided against food and just had a smoothly..not loved by the staff. Went up the waterfalls without a guide, not really a problem, you just need to keep asking on the early stages. Cooling stations for the soft drinks and fruit are a photo opportunity! The walk, even to the first waterfall is not for the faint hearted or the slightly infirm. Glad I went.Written 7 November 2024
- Duif_family0 contributionsTourist trap ‘avant la lettre’We made a day-trip from Marrakech with private driver, for 1200 DHM and he showed us the three valleys. The first two valley were gorgeous and we made two photo-stops. Then we drove into Ourika valley on narrow road which was packed with tourist busses and restaurants along the water. The driver dropped us at uninspiring restaurant along the river for fixed price menu (120 dirham!); food quality was sub-standard: raw meat in tajine, hardly any chicken in chicken tajine. Subsequently, the driver arranged a guide to bring us to the waterfall; the path followed steps uphill along small tourist stalls which was very crowded and dirty. The waterfall itself was surrounded by piles of garbage (such a pity the guides did not care and did not clean it). We decided not to continue visiting the second waterfall and returned to our car. There the guide asked for 20 euro and few min later for 100 dirham. Although in the morning we were tald that everything was included in the tour price we now faced an aggressive guide and driver. They treat tourist badly and they only want to cheat & overcharge tourists as much as they can. So, I recommend avoiding this place.Written 31 October 2024

An entrance with a traditional group, then visit the cave of Ali Baba 🤩. Upon arrival, several traditional groups from each region of Morocco welcome you. Then, we set you up in an air-conditioned tent to have your meal. We chose the menu at 35 euros: a harira, grills, a chicken pastilla, fruit and mint tea with its cookies.
The waiter, of an exemplary kindness, reserved us places in the stands. And here, let the magic of the show work: a fantasia, with riders in traditional outfits performing spectacular equestrian demonstrations, accompanied by acrobats.

I visited Chez Ali and had a delightful time! The traditional dinner, including lamb and couscous, was tasty, but the show stole the spotlight. The horse stunts, belly dancers, and fireworks were mesmerizing, creating a lively and colorful atmosphere. It’s a bit touristy, but perfect for families or groups looking for a fun cultural evening.

An unforgettable experience at Chez Ali in Marrakech
We spent the last evening of our trip to Marrakech in this extraordinary property, and we could not choose better. Since the triumphal entrance with the Berber knights, we have been welcomed by a unique atmosphere: musical groups with traditional Berber and Moroccan costumes have accompanied us on a journey into local culture.
The structure is impressive and attention to detail, really spectacular. We had dinner in one of the elegant tents set up for guests, enjoying a classic vegetable Tajin and the famous lamb cooked under the ashes, prepared according to Berber tradition. All this was accompanied by a delicious mint tea, served with great care.
The evening continued with a sumptuous show rich in Moroccan folklore: parades of characters in traditional costumes, music, dances, fires and even animals that made the atmosphere magical. The grand finale was entrusted to the Berber knights, who with their acrobatics and synchronized gunfire left us speechless.
An experience that is worth every moment: atmosphere, cuisine, and entertainment of the highest level. Congratulations to all the Chez Ali team for making this evening unforgettable!

Frankly. I love Morocco for its authenticity. For the majestic side. I was there for the new year with my family, total disappointment. We paid 1240 diram per person to be served unprofessionally. The advertised menu did not match.
We had 2 pastries in amuse bouche, a soup a chicken tagine with bread and fruit. You had to beg for tea and soft drinks. We had 3 litres of soda on the table of 7.
Beyond that the driver put pressure on us to get home at 00:20 he called us to get home fast.
I advise against it. Even if it means paying more there is another beautiful place. At Ali's ⚡️ catch tourist. Fleeing hustler.

I had a disappointing experience at Chez Ali, which was arranged through our hotel. Despite informing the hotel staff that one of us is vegetarian, we were assured that there would be suitable options. Upon arrival, we were met with chaos—no clear guidance or table numbers.
After a long wait, we received our drinks (30 minutes later, with even tap water not included). The first dish served was meat, and it took another hour to get a few bits of roasted vegetables. My friends found the food bland and cold, with no salt or pepper available. The dessert was seasonal fruit, but there was mold on the grapes.
The show itself was underwhelming and concerning. The horse racing included frightening gunfire, which scared the horses, and the sight of a man riding a donkey as if it were a horse was distressing. The animals appeared frightened and were tied too closely together, unable to move freely. The belly dancer was so far away we could barely see her.
Overall, this experience was disappointing and raised serious concerns about animal welfare. I would not recommend this venue. If you decide to go, I highly suggest eating before you arrive.

Terrible trip! Would not recommend. The duration in total was around an hour and 30minutes. Rushed through the entrance straight to a table. Food was awful and bland. Dishes are shared between tables of 8. The whole experience was rushed. The people performing were unhappy and couldn't look anymore bored. The show lasted all of around 20minutes. No time to take in the views or take pictures. Definitely NOT a must do!

The venue is stunning, and the performers put on a great show with music, dance, and horse stunts. The food was okay, but the ambiance made up for it. A great way to experience Moroccan culture in a lively setting

At Chez Ali, we made it in time for the show, and on our lucky night, there were fireworks. The performance featured horse stunts, a belly dancer, and a brief cultural dance. It's worth checking out if you have spare time, especially with kids, though it may not be a top priority
