We spent an excellent and informative morning with Lina who showed us around the Medina and Kasbah in Tangier. Lina was a lovely person who provided a wealth of information on the history of the city and answered any questions which we had. Her English is perfect and she also speaks French and Spanish. It all made for a memorable, enjoyable and very different Christmas Day for us.

We very much enjoyed having Lina show us Tangier on our first time to Morocco. She knows the city well, we learned so much, and we felt in great hands. Lina was very happy to adapt the tour to our needs which made for a relaxed and enjoyable day.

We spent 2.5 days in Tangier (family of four with two kids 11 and 13yrs old), arriving by boat from Tarifa. We had a great daytrip with Lina Amrani on the 1st of July, between 10am to 3pm when she took us to some great places, scenery, camel riding, the old part of Tangier. We felt really looked after and would like to thank Lina for a great day, highly recomended.

This is a “must do” event! While you can wander the Medina/Kasbah on your own it is much more fun to have a guide who can fill you in on the culture and history. Lina was terrific! She was so friendly and knowledgeable, setting a suitable pace for all of us (one person had a foot injury) but making sure we saw many intervals unique things.

Lina took us through the medina on a nicely curated tour. We had a wonderful lunch, shopping opportunities at the best artisan shops, and a fascinating walk through neighborhoods we wouldn’t have been able to discover on our own. Lina is a thoroughly professional, friendly young woman who shepherded some special purchases we made and shipped to the USA — it was helpful to have Lina as a contact in Tangier after we returned home. Lina clearly loves and is proud of Tangier and is eager to show off the marvelous city at its best.

Lina was the best! Navigated us through the alleyways of the old Medina and I got to check some historical sites and beautiful architecture off of my list, as well as buy some things. She was super patient while I got some gifts and even helped translate once or twice. The tour was informative and the vibe stayed fun and light.

Lina provided a unique, personalized tour of the Medina and Kazbah areas of Tanger. She first asked us what we would like to see, listened to the things that interested us, and then showed us all of the fascinating and historical parts of the city. She was quite patient with us as we stopped to take a thousand pictures. It was a wonderful experience and we would recommend Lina’s expertise to anyone visiting this beautiful city! Lina was great - Morocco is a beautiful country from the part that we saw. We had a wonderful tour from Lina Amrani. She showed us the Tangier old city markets, the location where the Mediterrean and Atlantic meet as well as the Hercules cave. She was flexible and shared lots of information about the culture, religion and history.

My son and I were on a trip to Spain and Morocco, and had 3 1/2 days to spend in Tangier. Through our hotel, the Palais Zahia, we were introduced to Majid Abdelmajid, a nationally certified guide, with Tangier Unique Tours. Majid was a blessing sent by God and a huge boon to our trip to Morocco. On our first full day, I booked a Tangier Walking Tour for my son and I, but my son who is a high functioning teen with Autism Spectrum Disorder, the crowds, noise, etc.of the city were too overwhelming at that moment (He had been able to go out the evening before without a problem, but the sensory issues with ASD can be unpredictable). As we were not even 100 feet from our hotel when he became visibly upset and overwhelmed, I escorted him back to the room, and went on the walking tour myself. Our Spain/Morocco trip had originally been planned for four members of our family, at the last minute two had to stay back in the US, and now my son couldn't participate in the walking tour. I started crying, basically telling the backstory of the situation, and pouring my sadness out to Majid as we began our tour. He was so wonderful, understanding, and compassionate, soon I was able to let go of the things I could not control and enjoy the experience of walking the city with this extremely knowledgeable, wise, new friend, as he quickly became. I started the tour crying, and by the end, I was laughing and dancing with a group of traditional musicians who were playing and performing in the Casbah. Majid too was smiling and clapping and told me on the way back to the hotel that he was very happy to see my change of heart. Over the next few days, Majid when out his way to talk to my son whenever he saw him at the hotel, and even walked us all the way to a special fish restaurant (my son is pescatarian) so that he could have a special meal he enjoyed. We had booked a trip to the Caves of Hercules for our last day, as it was out of the city and would be more relaxing for my son, but at the restaurant my son met a woman from France who raved about Chefchaouen, the Blue City. Majid had told us the first day he met us (before the Tangier Walking Tour) that we should definitely go to Chefchaouen, but we hadn't heeded his advise. After listening to the French woman talk about the Blue City, my son was suddenly determined to go to Chefchaouen. When we met with Majid the next morning for our tour to the Caves of Hercules (a 2 or 3 hour tour), Majid rearranged his entire day so that he could take us to Chefchaouen instead (an all day tour). When I said that really wasn't necessary and that we didn't want to inconvenience him, he basically said, "Your son wants to go to Chefchaouen, so I will make it happen." I was very grateful for the extra care and attention he gave to me and my son, but he is simply a wonderful human being, I was not surprised. Thanks to Majid the Magnificent, we were able to go to Chefchaouen on our last full day in Morocco. It is a beautiful, picturesque city, with extremely friendly denizens. My son and I both had a fabulous time! So if you plan to go, or are already in Tangier, I can't speak highly enough of Majid from Tangier Unique Tours. He is beyond knowledgable about Tangier, the surrounding areas, and Morocco in general, more importantly he is a kind, compassionate, understanding, human being that I am proud to now call my friend and brother.

Lina was a fantastic tour guide! We loved our tour of the Modern and Old Cities in Tangier.On our full day tour, he took us to the best spots. She was a wonderful guide, so knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend using her. We can't wait to go back and will call Lina again next time we go to Tangiers!

My wife and I visited Tangier recently and had the immense fortune of contracting the lovely tour guide Lina Amrani (one of only a few young women employed as a guide by the Moroccan government). She was brilliant. So friendly, knowledgeable, patient, curious and just an absolute joy to hang out with on our very personalized tour of the Tangier Medina and kasbah. We highly recommend requesting her by name if that is possible! (She is perfectly fluent in English, Spanish and French (just for fun we did part of our tour in Spanish!). Salud Lina!
