- YUAN B0 contributionsUnforgettable Desert AdventureWe had an amazing experience with this desert tour! I went with my 7-year-old daughter, and every moment was unforgettable. Riding dune buggies into the desert to watch the breathtaking sunset was a highlight, and the evening bonfire party was both lively and relaxing. The next morning, we enjoyed a peaceful camel ride through the golden sands. The guide was professional and friendly, and our fellow travelers were wonderful companions. My daughter had so much fun and couldn’t stop talking about the adventure. This tour is perfect for families and anyone looking to create lasting memories in the desert!Written 14 November 2024
- yunhwanc20240 contributionsGreat ExperienceThis was an unforgettable experience. Booked directly with website. We were accompanied with Sliem, who was an incredibly knowledgable and personable guide, and Mounir, who was a great driver.I especially enjoyed the night at the desert and the festivities in the campsite at Ksar Ghilane. A very complete itinerary without it being too exhausting or overwhelming. Highly recommend!Written 14 October 2024
- 385endyc0 contributionsGreat experience with informative and helpful guide SliemThe tour was very well planned and organised, as we have visited numerous attractions of good selections and did not feel a sense of rush. Our guide Sliem was very nice and informative. He was able to explain the local knowledge in great details in both English and French, and provide other kinds of advice on touring Tunisia. We had great experience. This tour is highly recommended.Written 13 October 2024
- J9236SCvictorc0 contributions🔅Here’s the review in English: I had an amazing time on my tour! Slim and the driver were excellent. It was a very interesting journey through the interior of Tunisia, always full of details and information. Slim is incredibly knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I had forgotten to withdraw cash, but I was still able to do all the activities and pay at the end of the trip, which was very convenient. Highly recommended!Written 12 October 2024

- cthintz0 contributionsGreat Star Wars/Cultural tour of TunisiaHad a wonderful experience with Depart Travel Services. Notified them a week prior to our trip that we wanted to focus on seeing Star Wars film sites. They adjusted our tour and gave us Chokri as a guide. Chokri was a pleasure to be on the road with and did a great job of not only showing us Star Wars sites, but allowing us to see the beautiful culture and land of Tunisia. I highly recommend using this agency for your trip. The only thing I would have changed is that I would have flown into Tozeur or Djerba instead of Tunis in order to eliminate some of the driving if you desire the Star Wars themed sites.Written 19 March 2024
- marcz7520 contributionsDepart Travel is a winner! We had a fabulous time. Shedi was our guide. He was informed, educated, amicable, and spoke excellent English. We felt taken care of every minute of the trip. Our driver Aymen was friendly and a a great and careful driver. Highlights of the trip were Dougga, El Djem, Carthage, and Sidi Bou Said. The hotel Dar El Jeld was beyond all expectations. The hotel in Sousse was Dar Antonia, and it was like an Arabic dream.Written 1 March 2024
- abcmoscicki0 contributionsGREAT travel company and tour guideThis company is amazing. they put us with a guide, Chedi Sfaxi who was incredibly knowledgeable, absolutely wonderful personality, and a joy to spend time with. He knew so much it was very impressive and we called him Professor Chedi by the end of our trip since he taught us so much. The tour company was very professional and answered any questions we had very promptly during our travel. I highly recommend this company for Tunisia and highly recommend Chedi!!! I loved Tunisia and this company showed Tunisia in such a wonderful light!Written 25 February 2024
- rebeccat7090 contributionsFabulous guide showing us the highlights of Tunisia!Aymen of Depart Travel helped set up our trip. Our guide Chedi was incredibly good! We spent 5 days with him going Carthage to Dougga, Kairouan and Sousse, etc. He was the most knowledgeable about all facets of culture, history, politics and economics. A very kind and thoughtful person. We had a fun and enriching vacation in Tunisia. Cannot recommend him more highly, All were very helpful and reliable. Fabulous!!!!Written 23 February 2024
- Seaside082053958050 contributionsMohamed is the best tour guide in the worldDid a solo 6 day tour around the desert with Mohamed and he did not disappoint. Both an excellent driver and tour guide with perfect English, he made me feel comfortable straight from the start. The trip felt like a 6 day road trip with a friend and ended too soon. If we weren’t friends before, we’re definitely friends now and can honestly say he’s the best tour guide I’ve met so far in the world 😂Written 4 January 2024
- bomadg0 contributionsVery satisfying North+South tour of TunisiaDepart Travel Service is a very professional and accommodative Company owned by a very nice person Aymen. He never sleeps ! Highly recommendable. We (8 people - 3 families) did a complete North+ South tour of an amazing country called Tunisia ! We were demanding. We wanted to see all. He kindly obliged all of our demands. Pros 1. Almost all the hotels are exceptional. Kairouan and Djerba was class of its own. 2. The driver Makram was always smiling and accommodated our demands to see more, even if we spent more time in some of the amazing places. 3. The drivers were always punctual and was an exceptional. He was very professional in his behaviour and attire. 4. The car was good. 5. We had good food at very good restaurants - most of them thematic. They did not compromise on food and restaurant. Cons - THESE ARE MINOR ISSUES, but must be sorted out beforehand , but did lower our experience immeasurably. 1. The cars were tinted glasses - which restricted our views and taking pictures on the go. It is probably good for people with sensitive skin (it will protect them from the glare of sunlight). But not for us ! We wish we could have taken better pictures if glasses were not tinted ! 2. The cars could not stopped for taking pictures, more often than not, apparently because of "security reason". The car was stopped by our guide at some places, which were not very interesting, skipping some interesting places. Only after we met Aymen at half way of the tour, things changed immensely. 3. We were not allowed to seat beside the driver, which prevented us from taking good pictures, apparently because of "certain laws" in Tunisia. This is something we hated like anything and major cause of discontent with the guide Houssem (we have seen car with foreign tourists, where they were seating in the first seat and not the guide) . 4. Our guide Houssem was the only problem for us in the whole tour. His English is peppered with French - which we could not understand quite often. He was bit of control freak. We have to take his permission to even cross the road. This is done to a person, like me, who has travelled 31 countries - many of them solo ! He was strict, sometimes too strict .Sometimes it was good, otherwise we would have missed some sites. We were sometimes late by 30 minutes. So we were not without a flaw. He is otherwise a nice person. We understand it is bit difficult to get a good English speaking guide in a French speaking country. His knowledge is lacking in some places. But he was honest about that, which I liked. I understand it is not possible for a person to know the whole country. But because of his lack of knowledge of the site, we could not see 2 important structures - Libyco-Punic Mausoleum in Dougga and Mosaic of Nude Venus in Bulla Regia.Written 3 November 2023
