About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- MarshieP0 contributionsGreat Chobe TourWas a well organised day with great communication and some amazing sights. I was impressed to have my trip tweaked to suit my needs and everything went perfectlyWritten 19 February 2025
- Olns0 contributionsHalf day from Victoria Falls to Chobe, lots of hippos and elephantsSaw lots of wildlife on the afternoon cruise in Chobe. Did not do the full day. I had one driver to the border, then another in Botswana and both were excellent drivers and helping with the crossing. The boat itself was very basic, no facilities and just bottled water. However it was shaded and the pilot did a wonderful job finding the wildlife and narrating. I primarily gave only 4 stars because of the boat and lack of amenities, otherwise 5.Written 18 February 2025
- Inspire547529858130 contributionsFull day Chobe National Park Botswana from Victoria Falls.Brilliant trip. We say Lions and Elephants really close to us. Buffet lunch was really good in a super location followed by an afternoon cruise on the river where we say lots of animals. The guides were really good.Written 5 February 2025
- BejenP0 contributionsA day in ChobeThe day started off a bit sketchy, the driver picked us up in an old van with a big Crack across the windscreen. Not the best start! We got to the border and went through the process. There was a lot of waiting around for other people in the group but eventually we got going In a different van. We need shifted again to the safari truck. It was a pretty disappointing day with sightings, it appeared most of the drivers do the same sort of loop, stopping at a toilet/drinks break spot and then heading back to the entry. We saw some giraffes & zebras, but unfortunately no rare sightings. We then headed to lunch, which was a buffet. That was good, however, water and drinks weren't included. If we were told earlier we would have grabbed some from the safari vehicle! Seemed like a bit of a miss. We then headed for the boat cruise which was a highlight, being in a small boat we got to get up close to see Hippos & Crocs and a few other wildlife. After that we headed back to the border and then got back into the old van on the Zimbabwe side. Please get your driver to upgrade as everyone else had nice modern vans!Written 1 February 2025
- rustys7280 contributionsNot Worth the MoneyLet me first say that my family lives in Kenya, and we have been on safari before in other parts of Africa, and we understand that you can’t always predict what animals you will see. On this tour, we actually saw a lot of animals and even saw 2 male lions right up close and lots of elephants. We probably saw 25 or so different elephants. So this doesn’t have to do with animals. This review is based on the poor customer experience our family had. Its important to know that when you book this trip, you are booking it through a company on the Zimbabwe side of the boarder and then they contract out the drivers for the game drive on the Botswana side. Zimbabwe is highly reliant on tourism and they were wonderful and very professional to work with. Once we got on the Botswana side of the boarder though, it went downhill fast. The drivers were not friendly nor professional. They treated you as a number and not a person. The game drive was more of a “we need to get to this point for lunch so we are going on this set route and if we see anything, we can stop and look and take pictures”. It also took FOREVER at the Botswana border. We got dropped off at the boarder at 8:15am and didn’t get through until 9:30am, then had to drive another 20+ minutes to the Game Reserve, and then had to wait while our driver went in to fill out paperwork. We didn’t start the game drive until 10:15am. Our lunch was at 12:30, so like I said, we were almost on a specified route towards lunch and on a time crunch because of how long we spent at the boarder. We paid a lot of money to wait in line, drive on a predetermined route, and have a short game drive. This was not worth the money.Written 24 December 2024
- marcchait0 contributionsDefinitely worth itMaxwell and Phillip where extremely professional from the start. I would highly recommend them. Everything was planned and taken care of easily and hassle free. They arrived on time and very friendly.Written 24 December 2024
- 626prathapb0 contributionsSolo trip, Chobe National Park and Impalila Island. The day trip to Chobe National Park was well-organised and a fantastic experience. They also got me to Impalila island, Namibia, for a few hours after lunch and before the river cruise.Written 30 November 2024
- K7273DWsallyp0 contributionsMake the most of your day!Great day out! The drive to Chobe was smooth and easy and we already spotted wildlife. The Safari with Daniel was awesome-he was funny and gave us such great info! Lunch was absolutely delicious and the afternoon cruise was lovely and relaxing! A fabulous day trip!Written 11 November 2024
- DoraSzK0 contributionsExcellent organization, prompt response, great value for money, simply the best in Southern AfricaWe had an 11 day private safari trip organized by United Safari Travel in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia and it was just amazing. Maxwell organized everything based on my requests and personalized the whole tour for us. Everything went smoothly, on time and very nice staff. Maxwell always responded to our questions promptly and did his best to accomodate all our need. We had many extras in the program, and everything was very well organized. We loved every second of it! Very good value for money and really great organization.Written 3 November 2024
- leanne18120 contributionsFantastic trip to ChobeAbsolutely fantastic day trip. Everything well organised. Great to do both land & water safari. Gave you a real taste of Chobe. The riverfront is beautiful with too many elephants to count as well as various antelope & hippo out of the water which was lovely to see. We saw a couple of lions sleeping too which wasn’t expected. The buffet lunch was very good with a varied spread which I’d imagine would satisfy most palates. Both our transfer drivers were good. Stopped to let us see any animals en route. Our safari driver & captain on the boat were both very good at their job. All in all I’d highly recommend this company.Written 15 October 2024
- NeilSchier0 contributionsChobe National ParkWhen they say full day they mean it. Pick up in Victoria Falls and return 10.5 hours Morning cruise of 3 hours on Chobe River is amazing with many animals. Then lunch buffet before heading out on a game tour for the afternoon. We did get bogged in Kalahari for a while but this just added to the experience. Many animals up close and some great scenic areas.Written 14 September 2024
- rebuilds0 contributionsMeet the oldest crocodileThe crocodile farm offers rich information about the lives of crocodiles. You get to learn a lot about how crocodiles mate, eat and how long they survive. Crocodiles never stop growing.Written 17 June 2024
- vadimm8670 contributionsSafe and reliable operator to Chovbe from Victoria FallsWe went with this operator not expecting too much but the quality of service was outstanding. Communication via WhatsApp was great. We were picked from our hotel in time and quickly transferred to Botswana very smoothly. There we changed the vehicle to a legendary Land cruiser safari edition and went for an exciting game drive in Chobe. After this we had a delightful lunch and continued to a boat cruis on the Chobe river. This was a cherry on the cake. We saw huge crocodiles, hippos and of course elefants up close. The experience was amazing. I am really happy that I went with United Safari on this tour. Highly recommend operator!Written 17 March 2024
- I1194MOmelissam0 contributionsBeautiful, great value, do this day trip!Such a great time!! We saw tons of elephants (including babies!), lions, a slew of other animals. I live in Kenya so I'm no stranger to safaris but I would still recommend this trip to people who have done them. The landscape is unique with elephants swimming through the Chobe River with their trunks up like little snorkels (seen during the boat safari portion) and Bostwana on one side and Namibia on the other. The lunch was also perfect, with a range of options for every diet (including vegetarians like myself). We went in 4x4 with open sides, so there were views all around. The day was perfectly organized with pick up at my accommodation, crossing the border, car safari, lunch, boat safari, and return to the accomodation. It didn't feel rushed at all even though it was all done in one day. Great value, definitely recommend.Written 4 March 2024
- Connector563775469370 contributionsNice experienceWas a lot of fun, we saw hundreds of a big variety of animals, like elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes and more. For lunch we went to a resort where we had buffet. Sadly the time at the border took very long.Written 7 November 2023
