- briansG3008DE0 contributionsLoved it!!!Amazing! The best crew and the food and views were well worth the price point. Would do this again 100/100. Everything was great!Written 29 November 2024
- paulakerr20160 contributionsDon't miss this!Brilliant from start to finish. Smooth hotel transfers to the riverside. Beautiful boat, amazing food and spectacular scenery. Highly recommended.Written 28 November 2024
- mrshilaryd0 contributionsVERY POOR food experience....We took this cruise as an ad on from the excellent Brim silent whale watching cruise earlier in the week. What a disappointment this was! The cold weather and cold food were excellently paired! A fish starter that was barely warm was served, main course was allegedly fresh cod swimming in what may have been a sauce. We waited so long for the mains, sitting on the far starboard tables that almost all the rest of the diners had finished their food., so long in fact that we thought the food had run out for the final two tables. The cod was very dry and must have been frozen for a very long time, my one companion was unable to eat the supposed 'fresh' fish. Desert was fine. Passengers were fortunate in that they did see some Northern Lights that evening, as it not a guaranteed experience. Definitely foodwise not worth the money even at Norway inflated prices, I would advise to avoid this cruise and take a land tour which we had done earlier in the week!Written 28 November 2024
- helenmK584LV0 contributionsExcellent birdwatchingWe specifically wanted a birdwatching cruise. Captain B was very knowledgeable and knew where to look for maximum opportunities to see different species. He has extensive knowledge and happily answered our many questions. He and Sharon were delightful hosts and what a lovely breakfast. Highly recommended.Written 27 November 2024
- 531JulieS5310 contributionsGreat food and amazing experienceGreat intimate boat with around 25 people. Food was great and staff extremely attentive. We saw hippos, elephant, crocodiles and lots of birds. A lovely experience to finish out trip in Africa.Written 27 November 2024
- Dreamer135088770570 contributionsPURE AFRICA TURNING THE ORDINARY INTO THE EXTRAORDINARY🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Truly Exceptional Experience on the Zambezi! I had the immense pleasure of experiencing the Pure Africa Exclusive Dinner Cruise on the Zambezi, and it was nothing short of magical! From the moment we stepped aboard, we were treated like royalty. The luxurious design of the boat set the perfect tone for the evening—a blend of sophistication and comfort that complemented the natural beauty of the river. As we drifted along the tranquil waters, the breathtaking sunset views over the Zambezi painted the sky in hues of gold, orange, and pink, creating a scene straight out of a dream. The culinary experience was world-class! Each course was exquisitely crafted, featuring a delightful fusion of local flavors and international finesse. The presentation was impeccable, and every bite was a celebration of taste. The attentive staff catered to every detail, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we felt completely pampered throughout. Adding to the magic was the gentle ambiance of the Zambezi. The soft sounds of the river, combined with the occasional sighting of hippos and other wildlife, made the evening feel like an exclusive connection to nature. This wasn’t just a dinner cruise; it was an unforgettable journey of elegance, tranquility, and pure joy. I can’t recommend the Pure Africa Exclusive Dinner Cruise enough—it’s a must-do for anyone visiting the Zambezi! Thank you to the team for delivering such an extraordinary experience. I’ll cherish this memory forever! 💫 Elizabeth Curiger turning the ordinary into the extraordinary ! Grateful exceptional hospitalityWritten 26 November 2024
- Mobile643661459600 contributionsDinner Cruise on the mighty SambesiFantastic last sunset and dinner in Zimbabwe! We even saw plenty of wildlife along the way. Yolanda and her team were great hosts, not only serving food and drinks but also giving explanations along the way. The 4 course menu was delicious! Prepared with only fresh ingredients and was served hot. Drinks were tasty, too and the farewell performance of the cruise team made me tear up. Can’t recommend this tour enough. Worth every penny!Written 23 November 2024
- Rob W0 contributionsA perfect end to the dayThis cruise was amazing and one of the highlights of our stay at VictoriaFalls. The quality of the restaurant furniture, table settings, food, and service far exceeded our expectations. Aperitives were followed by a delicious meal and wines, all served by smart and professional waiters while we watched the sun going down. During the cruise, the captain positioned the boat to ensure that everyone had a good view of the variety of elephants, hippos, and other animals we encountered. I would highly recommend this cruise.Written 15 November 2024
- 74denisew0 contributionsAmazing dinner cruiseThe most amazing dinner cruise. Absolutely delicious 5 course menu with all drinks included. The staff were polite and efficient and all immaculately turned out. Spotted lots of animals including hippos, elephants crocodiles and many birds. A most enjoyable evening and a highlight of our holiday. Highly recommended. It certainly exceeded our expectations.Written 14 November 2024
- cyndi8280 contributionsDON'T MISS!Oh my word! This was the last night for both of my back to back groups I was hosting from the US last month and what a spectacular end to a two week South Africa and Victoria Falls adventure. The food was exceptional, the service (expecially Sharon and the bartender who also shared about the region with our table) some of the best we have had on the entire trip and the cocktails were insane - the Shandy with their local inflused gins. So great! This will be on every itinerary I book.Written 13 November 2024
- Anne N0 contributionsAmazing experienceThis was a birthday treat. Sadly one group was very late and we sat for ages waiting for them we should have left without them. It was very hot and had to ask several times for water. Once on our way the cruise was lovely. We were blessed with elephants bathing and endless hippo. The pre dinner drinks were well prepared and dinner was delicious. There was a large party with small children. The children were bored and this should have an age limit. Despite the issues we had an amazing experience and memories to treasure.Written 11 November 2024
- paulsF6149TP0 contributionsbigger boat and more crowded than some, but still very enjoyableMy wife and I enjoyed a morning boat cruise on the Zambezi River so much, we asked our hotel concierge to sign us up for a sunset cruise. We did not realize that we were signed up for a different company. Pure Africa had four boats going this evening, each full up. There was some confusion at the beginning, leading to boats coming together in mid-stream to pass over food items (to the crunching of the canopies), but when the cruise at last got going, it was pleasant and picturesque. We ended up spending most of the time before sunset watching four elephants splashing at the edge of the river, which was quite fine. The food was finger food and mostly not for vegetarians. After sundown, it was quite a parade, watching all of the different boats from different companies and with different "themes" going by. A pleasant evening event.Written 4 November 2024
- D6967ESduncanm0 contributionsDo this and dont bother with the sunset cruiseSo glad we did this it was amazing. We originally intended on going on an evening cruise but our times didnt work out so we opted for the sunrise cruise. Yes it is an early start but it is so well worth it, forget the sunset cruise do this instead. Just the 2 of us on here plus the Captain and Yolande who served us and was wonderful. We only saw 2 other boats on this morning cruise so the wildlife was not disturbed we saw Elephants, Hippos and Crocodiles and an amazing peaceful sunrise. All this and a magnificent breakfast, what an incredible way to start the day. Back at our hotel in the afternoon we saw the sunset cruises set off and there must have been 30-50 boats on the water all vying for position and all very noisy, we were so glad we went in the morning. Brilliant cruise, lovely people and picked up and returned to our hotel so no hassle at all. Brilliant value for money and a brilliant experienceWritten 29 October 2024
- jmeyer47190 contributionsGreat Dinner Cruise, Beautiful Sunset! This was a very nice experience. Transport to and from the boat was very smooth and easy. The cruise was nice, we saw some elephants on the shore as well as hippos and crocodiles in the water. The boat did slow to allow guests to photograph the animals. The sunset was also beautiful! Food was very good. A starter, bread, appetizer, main course and dessert was served. Guests were given a selection of main course from 4 options but the other courses were preselected. All drinks were also included and bar was open from the time guests stepped on the boat until they stepped off. One thing to note is that the tables are pre-reserved so that you sit at the table that your name is on. While most tables are around the edge/railing there are a couple tables that are in the middle of the deck so that you don't have a direct view outside. it seemed some couple seated in these spots were not happy about it. However you can freely get up and walk around the boat at any time to take photos and view animals so it is not a huge deal in my opinion but just something to consider.Written 26 October 2024
- Jodie_de0 contributionsFabulous food, drinks, and next level views. From start to end. This experience was fabulous. Amazing food, fabulous service, and views you will not believe. We saw hippos, elephants, and so much more. The sunset was memorable. When we left the team sang to us. It was a wonderful end to a great experience.Written 26 October 2024

The boat is excellent, very big and clean. There are however things that I wish they improve. Firstly the snacks need improvement. There’s need for variety, in this Covid they must give a dedicated platter to each table rather than take the same plate round all tables.
There was no one to announce how we were going to travel in the Zambezi. No guide. The only time the lady spoke was when we departed and when we arrived back. In between there was no explanation of anything.
