Stop At: Portuguese Bridge, Near the Blue Nile Water Fall, Debre Libanos Ethiopia
Morning (7:30 - 8:00 am), meet your driver/guide at preferred departure point, then drive 110 km north from Addis over the Entoto Mountains passing through the Sululta Plains to the Monastery of Debre Libanos established in the 13th century by Saint Tekle Haymanot, overlooking Jemma River Gorge, a tributary of the Blue Nile.
Take a short walk to observe the endemic Gelada Baboon and 16th century Portuguese bridge. Further drive to admire the Blue Nile Gorge, at some point depending on visiting time, have a picnic lunch and drive back to Addis Ababa.
