- davidpS5988EC0 contributionsSeriously, book this trip.Wow. Wow. WOW. We had an incredible time with Kojo while we traveled to Elmina Castle and Cape Coast Castle. Kojo set up private tours of both castles for us and then took us to an incredible lunch. The castles are deeply moving and powerful. The drive from Accra to the castles is long but gives you time to hear from Kojo who is SOOOO knowledgeable about Ghana and the surrounding areas. He knew everything about each suburb we drove through, the history of the different monuments and statues, and how day to day life is in Ghana. I genuinely loved our time in the car where we could ask him any questions we had. Beyond just being a good tour guide, he’s a great guy. He asked questions about our lives, took the time to get to know us, and was such a pleasure to spend the day with. Cannot recommend this guy enough, had a tremendous day.Written 18 March 2024
- MrsOGee0 contributionsA must do trip (five stars)If you’re thinking about going on a tour while in Ghana, This is the one! From our morning pick up to the time we were dropped back in the late afternoon, everything was very smooth and well aligned. Our driver and tour guide “Prince” were so helpful and informative throughout the long drive to the Cape Coast Prince would point out interesting places and information along the way while also allowing you to relax and take in the views along the journey. Our private tour of Elmina Castle was definitely something we would all recommend, this allows you to hear and see the history of the the castle at your own pace without the additional crowds Our tour guide was amazing and told us the REAL history from a true Ghanian historian view and not the European edition of information. After the castles we headed off for lunch at a lovely hotel with a beautiful views over the hillside, food was a buffet of freshly cooked food, there was lots of choice and it was all delicious. One of our party is Gluten Free and this wasn’t a problem and the staff showed everything that was ok to have (nearly everything apart from one dish) We were four adults 43 to 76 years old The mini bus is large & air conditioned The drive to the coast is two and a half to three hours but the drive is picturesque.Written 21 January 2024
- W5705JWvivians0 contributionsZoo ExperienceOur tour guide Kojo was very nice and prompt with picking my group up from our hotel. As far as the tour, I think it needs to be re-titled as this was not a safari. We saw a few baboons on the side of the street, and then drove through the reserve where there were no animals. We climbed some rocks thinking we would see some animals running in the wild and there were none. But it was beautiful review of the reserve. We did see about 4 antelopes as we left the reserve but that was it. Next we went to an area where there was one caged ostrich and 4 to 5 caged zebras. So again, I just think it needs to be re-titled to give customers a better sense of what to expect. This was more like going to a zoo with a limited number of animals as opposed to going to a safari. The drive through the mountain to get to the Aburi Garden was nice and was surprised to see a whole community/town on the mountain.Written 4 January 2024

- 950lucetteh0 contributionsGreat day!! Great tour guide.A very emotional experience. About 1.5 hours from Accra. The people of the village were so welcoming and beautiful. And our ceremony was everything we expected. Our tour guide, Kobe, was the best. He listened and curated a visit based on us. After the ceremony, we had a fabulous lunch at Afrikiko. Try the Red Red!!Written 2 April 2023
- 639kenishac0 contributionsThis was safe - really old un-serviced bikesI've ridden ATVs before and had to walk away from this experience as my safety comes first. The ATVs are old as hell and weren't being serviced. My boyfriend had to ask for another bike as the bolt/screw wasn't tight and the front wheels were barely hanging on. I tired doing the tour and was losing control of the bike. There was no safety check or explanation on how to ride the bikes. The tour was being led by a 10-year-old on bike.Written 9 January 2023

- BROTHACRAIG3160 contributionsUnforgettable Experince!I had a great time doing this tour even though it rained on us at the last stop. Kobby was a great source of info about the city's monuments and all the sites we were seeing. His car was very clean and his working AC was a great relief between stops because it can get hot in these streets. He even took photos while I was being led by the tour guides of the various sites which left me to focus on the tour instead of trying to photo and film everything. He anticipated my needs at every stop from water, cash, and bargaining with street vendors. It was a unforgettable experience and I would recommend this company for any tours you might want to take.Written 6 November 2021
- PatriceE650 contributionsYear Of The Return And BeyondThe really enjoyed my visit to Accra Ghana. It was an educational journey and an eye opening experience. It's beauty and ugly history unlocked a number of unanswered questions. Set a course to discoveried and exploitations not afforded to you in the history books.Written 6 March 2020
- Luvfromflorida0 contributionsGreat experience! My guide kweku is very knowledgeable and informed me of everything I wanted and needed to know about the culture and history of Ghana! I also learned about the process of the naming ceremony, the connection of the music and the process/rites of passage for girls before I was given my Ghanian name. If you are looking to reconnect with your roots or are just curious about the history and Culture you MUST experience this tour. Thank You Kweku for all.Written 9 November 2019
- Akua E0 contributionsA Must For Every AfricanI must advise on a day trip from Accra, do not spend all your time at Elmina castle rather spend much time at Cap Coast castle where the male dungeon is bigger and the accounts about the number of slaves that were taken out onto the boat at one particular time were larger and so pathetic. Leave early in the morning before 6am or latest at 6:00 am to avoid the traffic at the toll booth and before Kasua. Depart Cape Coast or Elmina lastest 3:00 pm so that you do not drive into the night.Written 13 September 2019
- melva Y0 contributionsA daughter returns homeJohn was my tour guide and he took very good care of me. The tours of the slave castles were heartbreaking, solemn and sad, but a necessity. My soul felt at home and to return 400 years after the Transatlantic slave trade began was priceless. I will forever be grateful for my journey of completion - and this tour was instrumental in that!Written 6 June 2019
