About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Fearless197986457190 contributionsSO AWESOME!Gilbert was so fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and went off the itinerary to show me other things I was interested in. He also paid for me to try some street food! I loved my tour and had no issues being a solo female traveller. Book here you won't regret it!Written 12 May 2024
- Luv2TravelFarNWide0 contributionsPerfect half-day private tourWe made a last minute reservation for this tour and we delighted to get immediate confirmation of availability. Emmanuel was our driver guide and he picked us up at our hotel - in a comfortable sedan. He talked with us briefly about his suggested plan for the day. He was happy to adjust plans based on our preferences. We had a great tour of Accra, visiting numerous interesting places. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Ghana, and provided us with excellent "on location" guides at several of the historic sites and museums. At the end of the tour we asked him about a convenient place to get great Ghanian food and he offered to take us to one and wait for us. Instead he called in an order, drove by to pick it up, and then took us to our hotel. Overall the half-day tour was exactly what we hoped for and we would highly recommend this tour, as well as our tour guide Emmanuel.Written 19 November 2023
- 928olumuyiwaa0 contributionsThe tour guide was hitting on me the whole time!!!I went on this tour as a solo traveler, and despite my insistence on not being touched or hit on, the tour guide made me feel uncomfortable and awkward for most parts. I had to get my husband to call the tour company and call the tour guide - even then, the tour guide became slightly hostile. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience.Written 24 April 2023
- MeganAkosua0 contributionsA perfect TripThank you to the Kaya Tours team for an excellent program that made my 7 Days in Ghana a truly memorable trip. Everything around my trip was well-planned and coordinated with a perfectly suited vehicle. My Guide, Ishmael, was excellent and knowledgeable about the destination. He explained everything and shared videos of the destinations I visited. I had fantastic accommodation for the entire trip, but my highlight was at Bays Lodge in Accra; the staff there were very kind and welcoming; I was home, away from home. They all smiled. Mr Abeiku, the owner, was very friendly, helpful, and informative, which added to the overall sense of confidence that you should book tours with them. He offered several short visits at free cost. I visited one of the local radio stations, the new commercial port in Accra, and found them very interesting. Whether you are a family looking for a luxury trip or a single traveler like me looking to get off the beaten path of Ghana, the Kaya Tours team will find the itinerary for you. I'm returning to Ghana and can't wait to book my trip with Kaya Tours again.Written 13 November 2022

- 387firozk0 contributionsEducational and interestingThis is one of the best tours I have had during my stay in Accra. The tour was organized by David he made sure that we visited all the areas as mentioned. David provided his historical perspective of Accra and the meanings behind different monuments in Accra. Each places we went to had their own tour guides and it was interesting as well. The highlight of the tour was seeing the historical pictures of Kwame Nkrumah taken during his lifetime and Queen Elizabeth's and Prince Charles' bed at the Osu Castle. I highly recommend this tour!!Written 16 April 2022
- BlackOrchid710 contributionsAMAZINGThis tour was absolutely amazing. We visited all the places as mentioned but our guide, Ishmael, went above and beyond from the beginning. Our day started with Makola Market but due to traffic, we were stuck. Ishmael answered questions we had about the market and had us try the fried cassava and coconut treats. So good! There were also refreshments available on the truck just in case. At some point my cousin ask about fabric that we saw from the truck. Ishmael got out and brought the vendor to us. CRAZYYYY! His partner came to move the truck a bit and Ishmael was steady working for us… getting beads and everything. NONE of us expected this and it was certainly above any service that any of us expected. We got all our shopping done right there. Lol. At the end of our tour, there was lunch provided at Laboma Beach. The canopy set up and lunch were great. At some point, Ishmael had gotten my 8 year old a kite and showed her how to fly it. Again, awesome! If you’re searching for who to tour with, your search can stop right here. I’m certain you will be please. Best regards to all.Written 20 December 2021
- Silkbunny0 contributionsExcellent tour full of historyWe were unanimously satisfied as three Afropean ladies of different age groups visiting Accra for the first time. Despite the hard history we've spent an enjoyable day. Our tourguide is friendly and kind, very knowledgeable, informative, attentive person and a great driver. You will meet different tour guides on the sites. We were taken care of at all times. Hotel-pick up worked perfectly even though we booked a day before. We recommend this well organised half day tour, especially if you stay close to Osu. We will book again with KayaTours. Thank you for everything!Written 15 December 2021

The Volta lake is really beautiful and Akosombo dam most impressive. The baboos that we met on the road were my highlight of the day. Unfortunately the boat we wanted to take did not leave, but we could take a smaller one instead. The guide cared a lot, also bought local food for us, and made it a fantastic day.
