About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- ChariZmaticK870 contributionsGhana 2023I really enjoyed my tour. Gian drove me to all the locations and it was a smooth and easy ride there and back. Each stop I learned so much and my tours weren’t rushed.Written 21 January 2024
- 483sibulelen0 contributionsCape Coast day trip from AccraI really enjoyed my day trip with ProTour Africa. I thought the tour was well organised, for example we started at the Kakum National park which enabled us to miss the busy afternoon rush and saved the "heaviest" part of the tour- the Cape Coast Castle- for right at the end. Additionally, the driver and host were really friendly and had a comfortable drive even though the roads and traffic in Ghana can be quiet stressful. I highly recommend this tour operator. Thank you so much guys for a great trip!Written 28 December 2023
- Antman30000 contributions1st time in the Motherland, won't be my lastZainab and Nana Yaw were amazing. Zai was easy to talk with and she was very informal. If I ever rob a bank I'm getting Nana, that guy knows how to work the wheel. Great driving. We stopped for food and answered any questions I had. They were in constant communication with me from start to finish. The Kakoum park and the Cape coast castles were incredible, it's a must do when you go to Ghana. It's a long 3hr drive to get there but it was worth it. Keep up the great work.Written 12 December 2023

- shaylal9540 contributionsFun and worthwhile tour of Cape CoastThis was a really great tour. Our guide Gian was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. All the sites we visited on the Cape Coast tour were a good time and very informative. I'm glad I decided to do this because there's no way I could have figured out how to pack so much fun into one day on my own.Written 3 September 2023
- netllama0 contributionsoverall good experienceThis was a good tour experience overall. My guide was Suwaibah. She coordinated my airport pickup, and accompanied me throughout the tour. Each stop was a good experience. The driver did a good job too. Only minor criticism is that Suwaibah was very soft spoken, which made it difficult to hear her at times. They dropped me off at my hotel afterwards, as promised.Written 22 August 2023

A huge thanks to our guide Rashida and our driver M. Ernest who hooked us up with the best guides at each site to fully understand the History. - davidw1420 contributionsAmazing Tour! This organization did a great job of organizing our trip, we began early in the morning with a hotel pick up and went to the kakun national park and then went on guided tours of El mina castel and the cape coast castle. Our guide, Suweda, was very helpful and knowledgeable, i would definitely recommend this company for anyone visiting Ghana!Written 21 June 2023
- see15080 contributionsA must do tour in GhanaThis tour was both an adventure and also an insight into the awful practices of the slave trade which took place in Africa (and across the world). Fun: Walking along the seven suspension bridges (canopy walkway) at Kankum National Park; Feeding and petting the crocodiles at Han's Cottage Botel and seeing the various species and birds. Historical: Visiting Emina Castle and Cape Coast Castle (also known as the dungeons) respectively. It was truly awful that these practices continued for 400 - 500 years. This is a MUST-DO tour for anyone visiting Ghana. The duration of this day tour took approximately 14 hours door to door. It was over a three hour drive to get to Cape Coast and also a good way to see the country en route. You will see that the country is very much underdeveloped and it needs major investment.Written 6 June 2023
- itsdannii_060 contributionsAmazing African tourThe tour was amazing. The day started at 7:00am (Ghanaian time) and it then, was a 3 hour bus ride that was comfortable to the first stop which is the Kakum National Park. The Kakum National Park is an amazing experience. There you will find the Canopy Bridge and get a tour of the different wildlife and species in the park. Next, we went to Elmina Castle which was 50 minutes away from the National Park. The tour of Elmina Castle was a emotional experience as you travel through the castle, you think about what the slaves had to ensure at the hands of injustice in the name of religion. Please note that every location had a separate tour guide that was familiar with the location and provided a tour. Lastly, we went to the Cape Coast Castle which the tour guide gave us chills every time she spoke. She created an almost immersive experience by closing the doors of the dungeons and turning off the lights. I left this location emotional for one as you feel the heaviness of your ancestors spirit. The tour guides for this tour gave us every thing we needed and more. They protected us from locals wanted us to buy their art to eating lunch as a group at one of the local restaurants. The food was good here! This definitely was an great experience and it is worth the price.Written 2 June 2023
