About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 954j_liak0 contributionsEducational experience, friendly tour guidesI did a shorter version of this trip, which did not include a visit to the national park and used the guide at the castle. It was an educational and emotional trip. We had an air conditioned car, certainly a plus. My interactions with Addi were very positive, he went out of his way to make sure we had a good experience, which I really appreciate. Thank you!Written 14 December 2023
- charlottebG5091JR0 contributionsa once-in-your-lifetime experienceVery professional driver and organiser, comfy car. We left early to avoid the traffic driving out of Accra and came back by 7pm. The Kakum national park was stunning, and the tour of the Cape Coast castle was a very deep, informative and painful experience that every person should do to grasp the violence and consequences of colonialism. We also had the possibility to go to the beach and jump into the water before heading back to Accra. Highly recommended!Written 11 October 2023
- erichU377QM0 contributionsBeyond the year of return Cape Coast and ElminaThis was an excellent tour. My tour guide Adi was very knowledgeable and had a great relationship with staff members at each of the tour points. This allowed us to get prime position, VIP treatment, at most of our stops. I learned a lot on this tour about the history Ghana, West Africa and slave trade, very informative. I highly recommend this tour.Written 20 December 2022

This tour was such an amazing experience! Day 1 was a village experience in the Volta region. We drove 3 hours to a local village that had a monkey sanctuary. The monkeys are wild, but because they interact with people, they are friendly. We fed the monkeys, then we walked to a palm tapping farm. We met locals who produced palm wine and they showed us the process as well as had us sample the palm wine. We then walked into the village where they showed us how to make kente cloth and had us get onto the loom to try it. Afterwards, we drove to our hotel for the night. Day 2, we hiked for 45 minutes to Wli waterfall, which was breathtaking. We were able to get into the water and frolicked around for a bit. The last part of the tour was hiking Mount Afadjato, which is the highest peak in Ghana. Fair warning, this is not a beginner hike! Our local guides said it normally takes 45 minutes, but it took us an hour and half because I had to rest every few steps. On the descent, we ran into another group who had taken 2 hours and they weren’t even at the top yet. The views were beautiful but I was sore days later, so make sure you’re prepped for it.
Our tour guide and the driver were great and very accommodating. Each excursion has a local guide so make sure you bring tip money for them because their expertise was invaluable. Overall, we had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed the experience!

We had an awesome and well organised trip with Adi and Yaya (driver). Adi was very knowledgeable and thoughtful about the environment too. We visited the monkey sanctuary and the local community there to learn about (and sample!) palm wine and see Kente weaving. The accommodation included was great with good food and cheap beer (and AC). There was plenty of time to chill out there too and relax in the afternoon. The second day we did an epic hike / scramble up Wii waterfall and crossing into Togo briefly before a much needed swim in the waterfall to cool off (but a shorter route is also possible). It was incredibly well organised, friendly and enjoyable trip and we’re keen to do some more tours with Adi again.

We had a really great time on the tour with Adi and Salvador. Organising the tour was simple via email and Adi stayed in touch throughout to make sure all was in place. The tour was a good mix of history, culture and nature. Wli waterfalls was a highlight. We would definitely recommend it.
