    What to Expect
Day 1: Briefing on the safari, transfer to Entebbe international airport for your flight to Bwindi impenetrable Forest, southwestern Uganda for the Uganda Gorilla Trekking Experience

We should be at the airport at exactly 06:00hrs if your gorilla permit tracks in the southern Bwindi and 11:00hrs ( A.M) if your permit is for Northern Bwindi ( Buhoma). For these one tracking in southern Bwindi you will land in Kisoro and you will be picked there by our company driver who will take you for your accommodation. For those tracking in northern Bwindi ( Buhoma) you will land in Kihihi airfield and you will be picked by our driver to your accommodation.

Day 2: Uganda Gorilla trekking (Bwindi Impenetrable NP), Tracking the Mountain Gorillas and other primates

Today enjoy Uganda gorilla tracking in Bwindi. After breakfast, proceed for the morning briefing before enjoying the highlight of the trip- Gorilla trekking, which may last the entire day. We trek the gorillas through the rainforest and bamboo covered slopes, accompanied by a guide and trackers, in search of a mountain gorilla family. The walking can sometimes be tough and long, but when you catch a glimpse of the magnificent silverback, any discomforts will be quickly forgotten. When the gorillas are sighted, visitors will be guided to within 6 metres from the gorillas, sit around them for a whole hour while gazing into their big round eyes.

Uganda Gorilla trekking is unpredictable. It’s difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike. The gorilla excursion can take from 2 up to 8 hours. Expect to walk along distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. A good physical condition is recommended. For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. A ranger will brief you on how to behave with the gorillas.

While most of today’s forests are no more than 12,000 years old, Bwindi’s vegetation has been weaving itself into tangles over at least 25,000 years, in the process accumulating a lengthy species list. This includes 310 species of butterfly, 51 reptiles, 200 trees, 88 moths and an exceptional 120 types of mammal including 10 primates. The latter includes chimpanzee, L’Hoest’s, red tailed and blue monkey, black and white colobus, baboon, and Bwindi’s most famous resident, the mountain gorilla. Bwindi is a prime destination for birdwatchers. Its 350 species include seven which are IUCN red data listed and 90% of all Albertine rift endemics, species which are difficult or impossible to see in any other part of East Africa.

Day 3: Depart from the Gorilla Tracking Park, Flight to Kampala

Early breakfast before embarking on our return to Kampala, your driver/guide will transfer you in time to the airfields either Kisoro or Kihihi to catch your flight back to Entebbe/Kampala. Up on arriving at Entebbe

    Great service, and reliable
We contacted Travel Explore Africa in June 2016, I was overwhelmed by speedy response from Gaster and all his replies were helpful and encouraging to suit in my budget accommodation, see local natives. He designed a 4 days package for gorilla tracking and Batwa trail experience which was so educative. Our guide Wilson was so helpful, knowledgeable and tried to show us the best spots Uganda has to offer to tourists, great scenery, reach culture and unforgettable gorilla tracking. Thank you Travel Explore Africa safaris (TEA)

    Service delivery and management
We read the tour operator reviews before making our final decision to them, they had some good reviews and we were a little worried about using online operators but all agreed at once and made a reservation with these guys. This was a lifetime opportunity to see the rare gorillas in the Bwindi impenetrable national park. Travel Explore Africa safaris did everything perfectly okay with no mistakes and the itinerary was followed as agreed in the email exchange. Our driver Charles was a man of the tour because he spotted well the BIG 5’s and we saw them all. Our accommodation at Chameleon hill in Bwindi, mweya safari lodge and Crater safari lodge were great.

Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda Safari
I completed a gorilla trek with Travel Explore Africa on 30th February 2015. The trip was fantastic. They arrived at my hotel early to pick me up and I was well taken care of for the entire trip. The gorilla trek itself was fantastic - you spend an hour with them in their own natural habitat, just watching them live their lives. My guide, Farouk, was fantastic. He looked after me the whole time and went out of his way to make sure that I could try special foods and get the most out of a guided African experience. I highly recommend booking with Travel Explore Africa, but especially recommend requesting Farouk as your guide. As a solo traveller I wanted to feel safe and comfortable and this was certainly achieved. Because Farouk took good care about me and I felt protected wherever we went. One day I went for a walk in a town called Buhoma and Farouk offered to come with me. I don't believe there was any risk but with Farouk I felt I could go anywhere with safety. How good is that!!

Good experience, good wheel on the road
I highly recommend the excellent services that Travel Explore Africa offered us when we hired a customized 4 x 4 Toyota Hiace for our recently completed picnic tour in Kibale national park. Wilson drove us comfortably and with lots of expertise. The vehicle was well maintained with clean interior and exterior. Keep it up Travel explore Africa!!

We had a superb trip with TravelExploreAfrica. They fully understood what we needed from the very first mail correspondence. Tailor made trip for family with two small kids for a very reasonable price. Head office was fast in answering and arranging and followed up on our well being continuously and our driver Charles was fun, informative, service minded, good with children and a good driver. Fantastic Ugandan Safari - exceeded all expectations!
I travelled to Uganda earlier this year with three of my best friends from university. We had all wanted to see Africa for years, and this was our first trip. Being wildlife enthusiasts, we spent quite a bit of time liaising with Wilson Bisaso about exactly where to go for the best wildlife viewing. The trip was exceptional in all ways, and came in at a very reasonable budget. We were able to travel comfortably in one of their vehicles across long drives, and found every minute of the trip enjoyable! We particularly liked Murchison Falls, Kibale and of course, the magnificent gorillas of Bwindi! Wilson was a very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating guide and driver, and did everything to make our trip amazing. We hope to return and will definitely be recommending this company to our friends!

Amazing Ugandan Safari with Travel Explore Africa Ltd (Wilson Bisaso)
My husband and I travelled from the UK to see Ugandan wildlife, and Travel Explore Africa did not disappoint! Even on a tight budget, we were able to see everything we wanted to see. Our driver and guide Wilson was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, even suggesting changes to our itinerary so that we could make the most of our 12 days. We continue to be amazed that Wilson could spot wildlife so well from a distance - sometimes we even struggled to see in binoculars what Wilson could see with his naked eye! He also had very good connections with the local guides, so that our wildlife viewing was the best it could be. We very much hope to travel back someday, because we still long to see a leopard! But all the other animals - chimpanzees, gorillas, lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, birds - were beautiful beyond imagination! I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to travel to Uganda on any budget. Thanks so much!

Super organisiert!
