- 70HT0 contributionsApril 2024 walking tour with Viola - great experienceI had a great time on this walking tour, I was the only person, and Viola was lovely. She was professional yet warm and friendly - the prefect walking guide. We walked around streets seeing the more established homes and then homes that are poorer. We saw schools with the children and caregivers walking home for the end of term holidays. Saw the market and shops along the roadside. Saw the famous Lake Victoria Hotel and got to the Rolex Guy to taste the best rolex in the country! I recommend this walking tour as a great way to introduce yourself to Entebbe.Written 19 July 2024
- RenitaD0 contributionsAndrew was awesomeWe had Andrew as our guide, he was great. Told us the history of the areas we traveled to and was on time. He was engaging and fun. All the guides Gabriel, Hakeem and Onesmus were also great as well. It was worth every pennyWritten 6 April 2024
- Nagykanizsa0 contributionsIt is a sin to miss this opportunity outWe booked the Kampala Walking Tour for five of us. Three kids under 14 y.o. and two adults. The communication and response exceeded my expectations. The customer service was superb and the tour with Roland was a great experience. Roland has a great knowledge of history, and be prepared as he will probably also challenge you with specific questions. I liked his attitude towards very fine line questions with regard to historical facts. As we had three young kids with us, it was a big question if they will enjoy the walking program through the city. Roland made it happen. He was able to adjust the program taking our interest into account. He also found a good way to find a common language with the youngest one. I highly recommend you the service. I do not think you will ever regret it. Be prepared as the three hours will be definitely more longer and have cash with you as you will visit the local markets (vegetable+fruit+chlotes).Written 11 March 2024
- garimad2450 contributionsKnowledgeable, well-spoken, lot of funAndrew is a great guide - He’s knowledgeable about the colonial and contemporary history of Kampala and is a very kind and accommodating guide. Fully worth the money! If you’re going alone, he’ll happily accommodate other things you want to do as well. I felt very safe as a single woman also.Written 13 November 2023

- fionah5010 contributionsWhat a great way to experience Entebbe !We recently did the morning walking tour with Arthur. It is such a fantastic way to see Entebbe. Arthur is so knowledgeable and we had a fantastic time with him. There is such great history of Entebbe to be learned. The walk is an easy pace and you get to take in all the main historical sights as well as the Botanical Gardens. Love our day hanging out with Arthur ! Can not recommend this tour enough !Written 14 September 2023
- Fallibilismus N0 contributionsExperience KampalaI give the highest score. My tour guide Ronald was super funny and likable, and he expertly led me to the agreed-upon stops. The visit to the mosque was very impressive. From the minaret, you have a superb view over the city. Thanks again for one of the most beautiful days I've had in Uganda so far.Written 5 September 2023

- daisymP7779AO0 contributionsJinja solo experienceFirst, I booked my trip really late and initially thought it was short notice for the company and I wouldn’t make it. But they came through for me, as a solo traveller, the pickup car was right on time and my guide Andrew gave me the best experience, from exploring local delicacies to even enjoying myself on the road and different places. My favorite was the Ssesibwa falls, lots of history there!!! And of course I got to experience the Nile beer on the Nile River, which was just beautiful, I learnt a lot of facts about both Nile River and Lake Victoria. The Jinja village tour was also a great experience and I was able to do some shopping as well. But, next time use a car with windows that are clear and not tinted, I would have loved to take videos during the drive but couldn’t because I couldn’t clearly see the outside. But, all in all it was a beautiful experience, I also recommend one to spend the night over in Jinja as this was a packed day from 7am to 6pm. Traffic was just messy too.Written 17 August 2023

Andrew was a very nice, knowledgeable guide, who guided us to a restaurant with local food and helped us also to get a SIM card. - marilynandallan0 contributionsEnjoyable Walking Tour!We arrived fresh off our flight into Entebbe to a lovely interactive and fun walking tour with Arthur. We enjoyed our chat with him over rolexes, and found him to be knowledgeable, personable and professional throughout our walking tour. We walked from up town to down town, checked out the Saturday market (very interesting!), the Botanical Gardens and its assorted wildlife and generally had us a wonderful afternoon to ease us into our Ugandan adventure. Highly recommended!Written 23 July 2023
- K9315SMpaulr0 contributionsBest Cultural Activity I Had in One Month in UgandaBest cultural experience of my one month in Uganda. The host couple are warm, articulate and enthusiastic. I had the best time in both market and preparing the meal. Two neighbors joined in "teaching" me. Everyone spoke English and educated me about culture and life as well as food. I highly recommend this experience.Written 25 June 2023

The food tour brought as to a local market where we tried a mango and a watermelon which is sad because there are so many different fruits to try and explore. Afterwards we had a Rolex first on the street and then in a restaurant. They were nice but you don‘t have to go on a tour to try a Rolex since you can eat them at an place on town. Then we went to a restaurant to eat a typical dish, and then to another restaurant to eat piece of meat.
In general the tour wasn‘t very informative, i would have loved to hear more about the tradition and culture the food is based in. You had to ask many questions in order to hear any details. Also the tour was way too long (11-4.30) because the distances between the places were too big, also we also just waited and waited at many places in order to go on.
The girl was very nice though, and the food was of good quality. But nothing you could not experience going once or twice to an African restaurant 👌🏼

Thanks for the detailed and valuable feedback. We will take this on board and make efforts to improve the experience; especially on providing information, reducing the distances and finding more things to try in the markets and unique venues.
