About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- brandonahmaud0 contributionsExceeded Expectations: A Must-Do Jinja Tour! The one-day Jinja tour completely exceeded my expectations! Each stop was more breathtaking than the last, and Nasser’s in-depth knowledge brought everything to life from a cultural perspective. He’s not just a great guide but also an excellent driver—I felt completely safe on the Ugandan roads with him at the wheel, which says a lot. Highly recommend, and I’m looking forward to another tour before I leave!Written 27 September 2024
- helensP4709XW0 contributionsExcellent day tripNasser was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and I learned so much about Uganda culture. Had some great Ugandan food, saw beautiful nature (waterfalls, lakes, and rivers) and great communication the whole time.Written 21 September 2024
- John B0 contributionsA great day out and moreThis was a full day’s tour that delivered on everything that was promised and more. The highlight was, of course visiting the source of the Nile but Nasser went out of his way to answer two additional requests I made; firstly to sample an excellent cup of Ugandan coffee and secondly to visit the very interesting railway museum in Jinga. Highly recommend.Written 18 September 2024
- U5312WXsr0 contributionsFind out if you have to have a guide firstWe were scammed or we think we were by a guide that we did not want. He was only interested in our money. In the end he took 150000 ugx from us but he did nothing to earn it. He did not want to take us to the other side of the park but made up lies to put us off. We went anyway and proved him to be a liar. He has given his colleagues bad press with his lying attitude and con nature.Written 17 September 2024
- snemecedgar0 contributionsOne day Jinga tripReally enjoyed the day and activities. Nassar was great company and very informative. Especially enjoyed the boat trip, it was very peaceful, and the bird life was incredible. Would have liked to have spent longer on the river, perhaps going to the other side, and also more of the history of the English explorers, looking for the source of the White Nile and the blue Nile - And the role of these two rivers and the trajectories. Specially, enjoyed the Ugandan lunch afterwards. It was an opportunity to try a variety of food and of course enjoy even more the company of our guide.Written 13 September 2024
- V1637MNjonasg0 contributionsPerfect day out of KampalaI had a great time in Jinja, with awe-inspiring visits to the source of the Nile and Lake Victoria, and insightful city tour. The guide made it a perfect adventure-filled day trip.Written 12 September 2024

- tiki28820 contributionsAmazing Day in JinjaVisiting the source of the Nile was awe-inspiring as well as taking a boat ride on the vast Lake Victoria was a fantastic experience. I also visited a waterfall and had an informative city tour that provided insights into Jinja's rich history. Another highlight was walking across the bridge over the Nile & Lake Victoria, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. With additional stops at interesting sites along the way, this tour was a perfect blend of adventure and scenic beauty. If you're looking for a day trip full of memorable experiences, Jinja is the perfect destination. My tour guide was fantastic and provided a great experience.Written 5 September 2024
- Daniel P0 contributionsGreat experienceI thought the experience was great got to visit the water falls, ride through some tea fields and sugar cane. We got to take a boat ride out on to the lake and to see the source of the Nile. Had a great meal afterwards of a buffet.Written 19 June 2024
- 573afin0 contributionsBeautiful and humbling nature experienceThe trip was a good day out of the city! Shared the trip with another passenger, that’s ok. Nasser took care of us and informed us about all the history and cultural aspect of both Ssezibwa Falls and the Source of Nile river. Was a good and enthusiastic guide! Ssezibwa was very beautiful and healing, although you need to climb some rocky bits! Wear good hiking or non-slippery shoes. The Nile river was so powerful, felt really humbled by the power of nature. Got to see some wildlife along the way. Bring some cash to buy some goods in the middle of the river ;) The buffet lunch was great, with the freshest tilapia I’ve ever had. Tbh you will spend most time on the road, but you get to see some interesting sights along the way. The trip was on a Friday so the drive return was very long and rocky due to traffic. I admit I got a motion sickness in the end, so advised to take travel sickness meds if you’re that easily affected.Written 15 June 2024
- Explore5698740 contributionsNice experienceI had a good experience. What was promised in the tour package was delivered. The roadside snacks was nice, I enjoyed the Ugandan rolex. The view of the plantations was serene. There were too many heavy duty trucks on the road which caused traffic but Nasser managed to maneouver and got us to and fro in relatively good time.Written 8 June 2024

- jodyw9560 contributionsScenic and interesting day out from KampalaThis was a really nice trip, very manageable in a day from Kampala with several interesting stops on the route. Malik the guide and Andrew the driver were very friendly and professional. They provided interesting information about the local culture and history and gave opportunities for extra experiences like stopping to try local foods at the market and sugarcane from a roadside seller. The boat ride to the source of the Nile was very nice and seeing lots of birds and wildlife was a great bonus! Ssezibwa falls nature walk in the forest was very beautiful and peaceful. I felt very safe as a solo female traveller.Written 18 May 2024

Kampala’s Best Experience Walking Tour is a great introduction to Kampala and Uganda, and is a great way to spend a few hours. Nasser is a knowledgeable and informative tourguide and is also the entrepreneur behind the tourcompany. The tour takes in some nice must-see sights like the Gaddafi Mosque with awesome city views, interesting stories are told on the way, and a highlight for me was the walk through the markets and to get a glimpse into the everyday life of Kampala. I would never have found those places myself and would never have been able to navigate the chaotic markets by myself. Highly recommended!

A wonderful trip through Old Kampala. We got to see multiple markets and learn about the culture surround the area. Nasser was phenomenal at explaining, and very informative on each area we went through. Through this trip, the history of the city came alive and it helped with the understanding of the culture and how Uganda came to be. The tour ended with us enjoying a meal that would be typically eaten, and a discussion on how we felt about what we had just experienced.

Nasser was all you could hope for in a tour guide. Knowledgeable about the history, culture, and people of Kampala, and so engaging as he showed us around. After taking us through the markets, mosque, even the taxi center, I felt like I had a real understanding of what life in Kampala is like, and how rich the culture is. I would recommend this tour guide for anyone!

Nasser is such an amazing and knowledgeable guide, you can tell that he truly knows and loves the city! The tour of the mosque was a highlight for me, it is such a beautiful place and you can see the whole city from the tower. Nasser's storytelling is very engaging and he makes you feel right at home throughout the tour. His singing voice is gorgeous as well. I definitely recommend this tour!

Nasser was the best tour guide/ soul I could have ever come across while my time in Kampala. He is very knowledgeable about the history and culture that makes Kampala. He brought his authentic self with amazing energy that made me fall in love with the country of Uganda and with the people of Kampala.
I highly recommend him, as he will make you feel like family and will welcome you with open arms and an open heart. Your time there and around him will change your life in such a positive way. You will learn many things that you can carry for the rest of your life. I can not wait to visit again soon!

I highly recommend this tour if you want to get a safe and knowledgeable introduction to the real Kampala. You will get a first-hand impression of how people in Kampala live and do business. You can't get that from being driven around in a car.
We started our tour at the Gaddafi mosque, where the guide gave a great introduction to Kampala. We even got to climb up the Minaret (tower) for a great view of the city.
We then walked through the various markets, food and second-hand clothes, the metal district and other business districts, and the taxi park.
The guide intimately knows the area, so I always felt safe.

Kathy and Abby were my tour guides for this trip and they provided me with a rich experience of the beautiful and intricate city of Kampala. They both demonstrated outstanding local knowledge of the city, ensured I was safe navigating the busy markets and streets, and answered all of the questions I had. Would highly recommend.

My friend and I were in Kampala for a wedding and tried to do a walking tour on our own, but with the chaos of the city and an absence of landmarks our self-guided tour was a bust. The next day we signed up for this walking tour, and thanks to our friendly and knowledgeable guide Cathy we saw parts of the city that we would have never found on our own. There is no substitute for having a local show you around, and Cathy did a great job of telling us about each neighborhood before we entered, what to expect, how to be safe and respectful. The tour was still full of chaos (crossing the street in Kampala is more death-defying than any zip line or bungee-jump), but with Cathy by our side it was finally navigable, fascinating, and fun. I liked it so much I got 7 more wedding guests to do it later in the week!
