Unforgettable experience in the foothills of the Himalayas
I can completely recommend without hesitation the holiday provided by GAT. All the team, including Rajan, Uddhab and the various drivers were courteous, efficient, caring and did their utmost to ensure we had a great time. The hotels provided were excellent, as were the tours and treks. Our only disappointment was that the monsoon was late in leaving this year and so we barely saw the mountains - hardly GAT's fault though!

Trekking the Manaslu circuit with confidence
It was important that I engage a Nepalese firm to ensure my trekking fees benefited Nepal versus some Western based intermediary. Global Adventure Trekking (GAT) was recommended by Nepalese trekking expert David Ways and proved to be the perfect choice for trekking the Manaslu circuit. From the moment GAT’s Executive Director, Rajan Dahal, greeted me at the airport until we said goodbye to our guide, Phurpa Titung at the trek’s conclusion, I was in expert hands. Phurpa’s knowledge of the Manaslu region, his attention to detail, flexibility, and concern for my well-being ensured that I had an awesome experience. His expertise got me to 16,800’ and over the Larke Pass! He went above and beyond looking out for my trekking partner, who needed extra assistance during some of the longer days and steeper elevation gains. GAT’s competitive pricing, Rajan’s attention to detail, and his fast responses to my inquiries gave me full confidence that I had chosen the right firm to manage my trek. I recommend GAT to first-timers and those returning to trek in Nepal.

      Captivating Nepal
From arrival at Kathmandu airport to being dropped back off to fly home this tour ran like clockwork. Rajan (MD of GAT) met us at the hotel and took us through the itinerary. Our drivers and guide Uddhab were outstanding and knowledgeable. Kathmandu was captivating, the trekking from Bhaktapur to Nagarkot to Dhulikhel was stunning although lots of steps so quite tough. Chitwan National Park was very special. We saw rhino, elephant, deers, crocodiles, many birds, wild boar up close. All hotels were good, however, we would not pick Green Jungle Mansions due to no choice of food. We booked extra tours: Everest Flight and the Chandragiri Hills cable car. We just paid on arrival. Due to the cloud/crop burning the Everest flight is a must do as we did not see Himalayan views. We understand Oct/Nov is better for Mountain Views. We recommend GAT for a Nepal tour. All their staff were a credit to the company. I’ve never been on such a well executed tour. I would highly recommend.

A Good Introduction to the Culture, Scenery and Wildlife of Nepal
We booked the "Unforgettable Nepal Adventure at the Foot of the Himalayas " holiday through Secret Escapes, which was organised in Nepal by Global Adventure Trekking. We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and can recommend it for anyone interested in experiencing the culture of Nepal, scenery and wildlife, as well as doing some trekking at a lowish level. Our only slight concern regarding the holiday was the lack of detail before we arrived. We only found out that we would have a driver and guide to ourselves (which was great) when we arrived and hotels and transfer arrangements were also only confirmed at this point. We were not sure if this was down to Global Adventure Trekking or Secret Escapes, or a combination. Having said that the arrangements that they made suited us and the hotels were all of good quality. Our guide Uddhab was very eager to please and was particularly knowledge about Hinduism in Nepal. He was very attentive to our needs and did his best to give us as much information as possible about places that we visited. He also took us to some good cafes at lunchtime for us to try different Nepalese food. The company's owner, Rajan Dahal, met us at the beginning and end of our trip and was most personable. We had visited Nepal in March, thinking that it was a good time to view the Himalayas. Due to a long spell of warm and dry weather, there was a permanent haze which spoiled the view somewhat, but otherwise the holiday was everything that we had hoped for.

      Wonderful holiday in Nepal
We booked our 10 day holiday to Nepal through Secret Escapes UK, with GAT being the holiday provider in Nepal. Communication with GAT was excellent, answering any questions we had before and during our trip very promptly. The hotels, guides, drivers, and excursions were all very well organised and were of a very good standard. We particularly enjoyed the fact that we weren't part of a large group, and we felt confident and safe throughout the whole trip. This meant we were able to relax and enjoy everything that our holiday to Nepal had to offer. Thank you Rajan.

      Amazing Trek
I did the Gokyo Ri trek with The Global Adventure Trekking and it was amazing. Mr. Krishna, the owner of the company, is a very professional and hard-working person. When there were a lot of troubles with the flight because of the weather, he was taking care of everything. He even woke up very early in the morning to call my driver and managed the calls for me as I did not have a SIM card. He also helped me to find another tour I wished to go. His attitude towards his customers is great. The guide Kamal was also very friendly, kind, and helpful. I will never forget this trek. When I come to Nepal again for trekking, I will gladly call this agency again.

Truly remarkable and should be on everyone's bucket list
Nameste! This has been on our bucket list for years and we finally got the time to go. Well what can we say from the moment we got off the plane to the moment we left this was an experience of a lifetime. Not only was the scenery spectacular, the people welcoming, the food glorious, the sense of peace and tranquility inside a teaming city of cars, motorbikes, monkeys and buffalo (in the road) has to be seen to be believed. We were fortunate enough to have in our package a tour of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur Nagarkot, Dhulikhel, Pokhara and Chitwan. Each destination had so much to offer it would be impossible to give an account that in anyway would do them justice. Each area was different from the hubbub of Kathmandu and Pokhara, the majesty of the animals and scenery of the Chitwan National Park to the almost transcendental experience of the sunrise onto the Himalayas at Nagarkot which was breathtaking. Throughout the trip we were extremely lucky to have the services of what we feel was a truly magnificent guide, Phadinra. He was knowledgeable about the customs and traditions of his Country helpful to the extreme with any questions we had and went the extra mile to make this a truly memorable and breathtaking holiday. He even went out of his way to take us to the Ghurkha museum as we had grown up in a garrison town which housed these remarkable troops. We cannot express how much gratitude we have for both him and Rajan for making this a trip of a lifetime for us. Also throughout the holiday we had the services of private drivers who took us gladly from destination to destination, waiting patiently whilst we visited each experience. Things to remember if you take this trip - 1 There is no downhill everything is up no matter what they tell you to keep you walking :). 2 When they say it is not spicy take this with a pinch of salt and preferably with a glass of water:) 3 Take good walking boots, small backpack and water bottles 4 Remember dark clothes if visiting Nature Reserves 5 Take a good camera (our one regret we thought the phone camera would suffice) 6 The hotels have hairdryers and all essentials to save the trouble of packing 7 last but by no means least - try the Mo Mo's. Our most endearing memories from this trip are the people we have met along the way, from the teenagers shyly asking for a photo opportunity with us, the humbling Tibetan's in the refugee camp, the hotel staff's levels of service and the many shop keepers with whom we enjoyed a friendly haggle to fill our suitcase with memorabilia. We can not wait to return and am sure you would feel the same - there is so much to see and experience that one trip would never suffice. We wish the Team at GAT every success for the future.

Trip to Rara Lake via Talcha
I really enjoyed my visit to Rara Lake, it is a beautiful destination. The first reason I decided to visit this location was because of the recommendation of friends in Nepal. The second was that it only required a short hike to the lake compared to the time and physical commitment of a longer trek at altitude, which I wasn’t sure I could accomplish. I had enquired at other trekking agencies who had tried to put me off going to Rara Lake, but Global Adventure Trekking told me that they could get it done – and they really came through. They also provided me with a great guide, Kapil Banjara, who was invaluable in making this trip a brilliant experience. He was receptive to my crazy ideas, patient when I kept misplacing my stuff, and kind and attentive to my well-being and enjoyment (including carrying my bag most of the time). He is also fluent in English, and an expert on Nepal history and politics and so was a great companion on my trip. In this regard, most of the visitors around Rara Lake were from Nepal, and I only saw a handful of Europeans/Americans. I think it would have been very tricky if Kapil wasn’t around to help negotiate and arrange things as most residents only spoke Nepali. I met Kapil at Nepalgunj airport and we flew to Talcha. You can look up Talcha airport on the internet, I think it looks like the deck of an aircraft carrier wedged into the side of a mountain. I developed a lot of respect to the pilot and flight attendant who do this trip every day. It was a breathtaking approach. From there, we undertook the three hour trek to Rara Lake through beautiful forest in almost complete peace and isolation, arriving with a superb view of the lake at sunset. Currently, there are two places you can stay alongside the lake offering basic food and accommodation, the Danphe and the Village Heritage and Resort. We stayed in tents they have set up at the VHR, which was pleasant and cosy. We looked at some other places to stay the next day, but they were further from the Lake and so we chose to return to VHR. Note that Ncell did not have good service at Rara Lake, Namaste seemed better if you absolutely need to use data or the internet. Also, the National Park has plans to remove all housing from around the lake in the next few years including an army base, so hurry if you want to stay by the lake and watch sunrise, sunset, and moonrise. The next day we rented ponies to go up a hill called Murma Top near one end of the Lake. Ponies will cost around 2,000 NPR for the trip. The view from Murma Top was the highlight of the trip for me. You get spectacular view of the Himalayas which wrap around the horizon, as well as the lake. It was stunning. The second day we walked around the lake, a trip which took around 4-5 hours and provided views of forest, lake, meadows, and mountains. There are no motorized vehicles around the lake – only people on foot or horseback – so very quiet and peaceful. We managed to spot a yellow throated marten on the walk, but we were told that large mammals that live in the park are more visible in monsoon season, since there are fewer visitors around at that time. That afternoon, we left for a night at the main access site for the Lake outside the National Park at Salleri Post which had several places to sleep and eat before departing from Talcha the next morning. All in all a great trip. Thank you Kapil and Global Adventure Trekking!

10 day touring/walking visit of Nepal.
We have been on a 10 night visit to Nepal. We had a lovely and very knowledgeable guide Rajan Dhakal who was employed by GAT for our time in the cities of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur and more. He then took us on the walk to Nagarkot, adapting it to our abilities with our driver transporting us for some of it and taking our time. Stunning views from our hotel. We had a very long drive to Pokhara from Dhulikel due to terrible roads and roadworks however we were looked after on the way and thoroughly enjoyed Pokhara. From there we had a drive, again some on very poor roads but the last stretch on reasonable roads to Chitwan. This is where we parted company with Rajan and our driver Ram. We had a guide Deb for the National Park experience who again was excellent and knowledgeable and learnt a lot about the area, the people and the animals that live there.

Everest Base Camp Trek May 2023
I and my uncle went on EBC trek in May with GAT. I got Krishna ji's contact through a family friend who had trekked with them back in 2013. Krishna ji was super helpful and transparent from the first time we contacted him. Our guide Krish was also super cool and very kind. Had great fun trekking with them. The GAT team is very reliable. I'd recommend them highly to anyone planning travel and trek in the Himalayas.

The most disastrous holiday ever, Mr. Rajan Dahal is a crook!
We have booked an 11 day trip in Nepal (cities, jungle, national parc) on Secret Escapes. Mr. Rajan Dahal CEO of the firm has "organised" the trip and was the tour guide. He is the most unresponsible, non-professinal liar i have ever seen in my life. He managed to destroy our very expensive vacation. 1. To start with he booked a hotel Malla in Kathmandu knowing that an indian wedding was going on. It was desastrous. We couldnt close an eye all night because of the noise. 2. He made us pay the car driver and also the tour guide-translator even if they were both already inclusive in the price. 3. He was responsible as guide for a two day tracking in the mountains and had to offer lunch. He was walking ahead of the group (we were 4 of us, me, my wife and a couple from London), never discussed with us, never said anything informative about the places we were visiting. On the forst day we have stopped for lunch in a very small village in the mountains which was supposed to be our stopp for the lunch but noone was expecting us. There was no lunch and no drinks available so that me and the oher getleman of the group went in the village in order to find something to drink after hours of tracking. 4. During our travels he never said anything to any of us, he shared no information even if he was paid to be iur guide. He said that he useually dosent go with the clients and that he useually works with younger people who are more "independent" (we are in our late 40's and the other couple 60's) 5. The usual trip would be a transfer from one hotel to the next iusingcompletely destroyed roads. Once in the hotel his day was finished. Again nothing on the way. (as informations about the places we visit, history, chat.) Nothing. 6. Two times he came to meet us in the afternoon after he had consumed Marijuana. He even asked us if we would like to try some. 7. On our trip from Kathmandu to the city of Pokhara he took in our car his family without even asking us. He initially told us that his wife would join us in Pokhara and then out of nothing we have stopped for fueling and there was she and his son. They had to visit relatives, i think there was a wedding in Pokhara. Our bags were put on the top of the car (so that the two new visitors could travel in comfort in our car) and when we have arrived at Pokhara after 12 hours on desastrous roads (a trip he told us that would be a 5 hour trip but lasted 12h oursw) our luggage was under 5 cms of dust. 8. We have confronted this "gentleman" twice because he was doing nothing of what he should with us (as tour guide) and also after bringing hes family on our tour without even asking. He never gave an appropriate answer, according to him his job was to book the hotels for us and he had done it. 9. On the day we have left the city of Pokhara in order to visit the national parc he brought his family again. We have had a very intense discussion because he wqas just ignoring us destriying the trip. His only interest was to transport his family with the car we have paid. He finally left his family at Pokhara after the nerw discussion. 10. The last night before departure was again in Kathmandu. There was a dinner and dance planned. We have told him that we prefer to spent the evening only the four of us (our group) and he said he would come with his family and friends too. We told him that we wish to spent the evening alone (noone wanted to see him again and asked him to arrange the transport to the airport the next day. He had confirmd that our usual driver (he was anice chap but didnt speak englisch) would pick us up at 15:00 in order to bring us to the airport. We have spent the last night with our new friends from London and not with him. He didnt even pay for the dinner which was already included in the travel package. He told us that this last dinner was a gift of his firm to us and not an inclusive dinner. 11. On our departure day our driver wrote us a messag informing us that his boss has sent him to another trip ad that he wouldnt be able to pick us up. An hour lazer Mr. Rajan Dahal contacted us per Whats app and told us that another driver would pick us up at 15:00 from the hotel. The driver never came and me and the other gentleman tried multiple times to get in contact with Mr Dahal. He never bothered to answer. Finally the Hotel ;Manager (malla Hotel in Kathmandu) called the firm and managed to find someone who said that the driver is on his way and will be there in 1 to 3 minutes. The driver never cam,e and 30 minutes later we took 2 taxis and drove to the airport. We had luck to arrive just on time in order not to lose our flights. Mr. Rajan Dahal is the most terrible person i have ever met. He is taking advantage of his clients, lies to them, treats them like s...t, he is impolite, doensnt give a damn about anyone axcept himself, gets paid with a lot of money and offers no services at all (we have paid 5200 Euros fot 11 days travel and had NOTHING). of it). We will sue Mr. Rajan Dahal and also Secret Escapes which was fully informed about everything that happend and offered us as a recompansation 150 Euros per Person. Mr. Rajan Dahals firm GLOBAL ADVENTURE TREKKING didnt even bothered answering our mails (they have received them through Secret Escapes). The firm rejected all the above accusations and denied any recompansations or even saying sorry to us for all that happened. This was the worst holiday (if i can name it that) i have ever had in my life and i still feel extremely angry for the treat. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this person (he is the CEO of the company) Normally i would have given -5 STARS but i have no option. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOU.

Thank you Krishna and Global Adventure Trekking
I would like to say a big thank you for organising our trip to the Annapurna’s and your guide you supplied - Bidham was fantastic, he spoke English well, was quite funny and explained what the plan was each day, we then gave our input- depending on how the kids ( our daughters were 12 and 14 years old) were feeling and he was more then happy to change the plan to suit. The meal stops and the accommodation he recommended were all great and we really appreciated his help with finding great places to stay and negotiated prices. As we got closer to the pass, the kids were getting cold and tied- so we decided to take a Jeep from Chame to Manang to let the kids get a few extra rest days before going forward-it worked well. Pass day was another big day for us, it had snowed a lot the day before and was really cold and Bidham was a bit concerned, we had a chat and it was decided we would join a bigger group for safety and he would help and look after my youngest daughter Poppy for the day and I would focus on Holly our other daughter, we left at 430am and Bidham didn’t leave Poppy’s side until we walked into our hotel in Muktinath- 10 hours later and for that I’m very thankful, he went above and beyond to look after my daughter And make sure she was ok and enjoyed the day as best you can. We’re now sitting in Pokhara getting warm and relaxing after a great Annapurna circuit Trek organised by your company. Thank you again, Regards, Daryn, Beck, Holly and Poppy

      Supremely professional trekking company
I would recommend Global Adventure Travel for any trekking or other tour within Nepal. Mr Khrishna, the operator of the business is a true professional and meticulous with the details. Our group of 5 requested two customised trekking tours – one in the Everest region (12 days) and one in the Langtang region (10 days). Mr Krishna organized all internal flights, internal bus trips and accommodation. Most importantly, the guide (Krishna Simkhada) and the porters (Mr Dil, Milan, Rabeen and Numa) he selected for both treks were second to none. One of our members unfortunately developed a chest infection on the first trek and had to be helicoptered back to Kathmandu. Mr Krishna took care of all of the arrangements, made sure our member was looked after in Kathmandu and ensured the insurance company had authorised all of these arrangements. Mr Krishna had extensive discussions with us in Kathmandu both before and after the trip (taking us to dinner!) to ensure all of our needs were catered for. I thought the cost of the trips was very reasonable. This is a long-running, established business that has perfected its business operations. I would recommend it to anyone.

      Wonderful tour of Nepal
Wonderfully organised trip with a professional guide in the mountains and an excellent city guide for Kathmandu. We spent nine days hiking the marvellous ABC trek and stayed in tea houses and enjoyed the stunning view of the Himalaya. The fare well dinner was a great moment of reconciliation with our coordinator Mr. Dahal who brought everyone together. Many thanks to all of Global Adventure Trekking. I’m looking forward to another visit of Nepal.

Thank you, Global Adventure Trekking for being so professional.

Mr. Krishna, the owner, was highly responsive to our emails and requests and helped us perfectly plan our trip to Kathmandu & Pokhara. He’s super nice, respectful and very understanding.
We were planning to do the Poon Hill, but unfortunately, we fell sick and had to cancel. Mr. Krishna was very understanding and helpful in making last minute changes to our trip.

Mr. Kapil Banjara was our guide during the city heritage tour. Very nice person, full of knowledge and he kept us entertained throughout the tour. He has so much to tell you about every corner of the city. You will be amazed of the details he knows. Thank you, Kapil! You are amazing.

Mr. Krishna Simkhada was our guide in Nagarkot and Helambu, the area were my mom comes from. Krishna is very patient, tolerant and caring. It was our first visit to Nepal; and mom came back after 42 years of living outside Nepal and losing contact with her relatives. Krishna managed to explain our case to the owners of Milimchi Heritage hotel who were able to help us find my mom’s relatives. It was a very emotional and touching moment. Thank you Krishna and Sagar. We will be forever grateful to you.
Also, my husband fell sick during the tour with Krishna. Krishna was physically and mentally supportive. He accompanied us to the hospital and waited with us until the end of the process.

Last but least, we had the best driver in Nepal: Mr. Indra. He’s also very patient especially where the roads get really bad and muddy. He’s a very smart driver and the music he played for us in the car is top! Luckily, we spent most of our stay with Indra. He definitely deserves a medal!

The team is really wonderful, amazing and super sweet. It was really nice meeting each member that joined us on our trip. They actually became part of our family.

Thank you Global Adventure Trekking. We look forward to our next visit to Nepal. We can’t thank you enough for making it a memorable experience.

I recently travelled solo to Nepal with Global Adventure Trekking and cannot wait to return and discover more beautiful gems this country has to offer! GAT were superb in every way, from promptly greeting me at the airport, to arranging all the itineraries and drivers, fantastic hotels and superb hospitality! A huge thank-you to Rajan for hosting me in Kathmandu and to my personal tour guide, Raj Paneru who really brought to life the culture of Nepal guiding me on the treks through the quiet and picturesque foothills of the Himalayas and the bustling city tours. I would love to travel with you again in the future!
