Everything goes to planned , right from the landing at the Kathmandu airport where his right hand man, Sandip was there to greeted me. He bring me from the airport to my hotel, checking in for me at the front desk and left me to relaxed for the rest of the night. Next day Ram sent Prashant his tour guide to meet me upand bring me around for the 1day guided history tour around kathmandu. The tour was amzing which fill with amazing history of Nepal. Prashant was very knowledge on the history.
Later on the day, I met up with Ram at his office and he introduced me to my Guide/Porter Anish. Next day early morning, i met up with Anish and we go the bus station for the bus ride to pokkara. Wow just wow, we chose Mountainramadventures after scouring the Internet for a Nepalese based tour operator, I contacted Ram through his website via email, within hours he was in touch, we then hooked up on messenger, he was very attentive and helpful, reassuring me at every point of planning our trip, I had no need to worry, right from landing at Kathmandu airport Ram was there to greet us with his right hand man Sandip, he drove us personally from the airport to our hotel (arts), gave us a short brief and left us to chill out, next day he sent Kumar his tour guide to meet us, to take us around the temples and give us a guided history tour for the day, amazing history and guide, later that day we were introduced to our Guide Amrit and Porter Ram, these two guys were amazing, next day Amrit met us and escorted us to the bus for Pokhara an interesting journey indeed, we were booked into the hotel Kuti in Pokhara(beautiful), Next morning our trek began with a Jeep ride through mountain villages to Nayapul, I will not bore you with a day by day blow of the trek, what I will say is every day was a delight and a pleasure, Mountainramadventures had made sure all our food, accommodation and itinerary were kept to, amazing professionalism and passion, Amrit n Ram were soon to become good friends, they looked after our every need and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our holiday, an experience I will never forget, Ram himself is a true gentleman and a scholar, he has a passion for his country like I've never seen, he sees beauty in everything and everyone, don't hesitate you will not be disappointed, Mountainramadventures look no further if you want to trek the Himalayas with professional guides.

Everest Helicopter tour
Feb 2020
I contacted with Mr. Ram through email before my trip and he assured me that Everest helicopter tour is possible for my desired date. However complication arises when the other parties whom we are going to share our ride in Helicopter canceled their trip due to flight cancellation. Since my stay in Kathmandu was only 3 nights Mr. Ram tried all other connections, in the mean time, to seek if any other passengers will ride with us. One thing to note here, if you can manage to book for 4/5 persons it will be a private tour it would be easier to manage. But since we are only two persons we had to seek for other peoples so that helicopter cost can be minimized. However on our the last night Mr. Ram contacted me that finally he managed and confirmed our booking. Although the next day our return flight to home was at 12:55 pm he told us that still we can visit Kala patthar (near Everest Base camp) and safely return by 11:00 am. And indeed we took our chance and glad we did!! All three days we contacted with Mr. Ram with WhatsApp and always he promptly replied. And in our final moment he himself drive us to the airport and leave us for our Heli tour. I think it was only possible because of the simplistic and helpful nature he posses. I would be definitely return to Nepal and contact Mr Ram for further adventures.

My sister and I decided to explore a bit of Nepal and the Himalayas. We were lucky enough to come across Mountain Ram Adventures. We had a nice start up visiting some of the World Heritage places in Kathmandu and then we embarked ourselves in one of the most wonderful adventures, The Annapurna Base Camp Trekking.

We got Nishchal and Sandip as Guides.

Nishchal is a very energetic, caring, and fun loving soul. Sandip is a very kind, caring and calm one. These 2 guys went above and beyond. I will never forget all the camaraderie and laughter we shared during a week of trekking but overall, I will never forget how much patience and caring they showed toward us. They kept on checking on us to ensure we were doing well and they did all they could to make the trekking safe and enjoyable.

This trekking was the first big one for my sister and she was a bit nervous but the guys were always there to cheer her up and to comfort her which is something my sister and I appreciated from the bottom of our hearts.

Also, we were impressed to see how many people Nishchal knows which was handy when we needed to ask for a favor or to get some help from the locals.

We certainly made some friends as well as some beautiful memories while discovering the majesty of the Himalayas.

We also got to share some time with Ram after the trekking and it was a pleasure to interact with such a nice wise young man.

Thank you so much Nishchal, Sandip, Neupane, and Ram for helping us to accomplish this milestone. It was an amazing adventure!!!

Everest base Camp Trek
Mar 2019 • Family
My son and I booked the classic Everest Base Camp Trek. From start to finish everything was very well organised. From the very start we were greeted at the airport by Ram's assistant Sandip, and our car transported us to our hotel. The next day we had a wonderful and very knowledgeable guide Saru, who took us to four of the World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. That evening Ram introduced us to our trekking guide Amrit. So, the next morning we were off to Lukla ! Again everything went smoothly, and yes we made it to Everest Base Camp. Amrit knows the route and pathways like the back of his hand, and is also very knowledgeable about the teahouses, food, and our surroundings. He was also very supportive when I found it tough going. Once back in Kathmandu, Ram treated us to a meal out in a restaurant with traditional Nepalese dancers. A great night out ! I can't thank Ram enough for organising our trek, superb. If you want to ask me any questions just ask Ram for my email.

Poon Hill Trek/Kathmandu tour with Mountain Ram Adventures (10 day total)
Dec 2018 • Family
Had a once in a lifetime trip to Nepal. Everything was taken care of for from picking us up from the airport, taking us to hotels, setting times to meet to go over daily activities, etc. The tour of Kathmandu was very good (our guide spoke English well and was very knowledgeable). From there, we took a bus to Pokhara (beautiful city) and then onto the trek. I felt the weather was perfect for this (cold in the morning, but became very comfortable soon after starting the trek). The views were incredible, and Poon Hill is definitely one of the most beautiful views I've seen. Our guide and porter made the trek very comfortable for us, and they were enjoyable to be around.

After the trek, we got to spend New Years day in Pokhara, which was a lot of fun. The streets had blocked off most of the traffic, so it was really easy to walk around. I would have liked to spend another day there just to wander.

After a bus ride back to Kathmandu, Ram took us to dinner at a great restaurant where we got to see traditional Nepalese dancing. The food was great, and the entertainment was fantastic! It was very beautiful.

Note that while this is an "easy" trek, it will be a little tough if you are not in decent shape. There are a lot of stairs between the tea houses, so be warned about that. It's not a gradual climb. We all slept very well after dinner each day!

If I had to make a change, I'd probably inquire about taking a flight to/from Pokhara. The bus ride is pretty long, so you lose a day traveling back and forth. I'd rather spend some of that time wandering around Kathmandu or Pokhara.

Great experience and would go with Mountain Ram Adventures again!

Our trek was AMAZING!! It was the icing on the cake for our epic trip to Nepal :)
May 2018 • Couples
We found Mountain Ram Adventures while internet surfing one day.
We had already booked our 17-day mountain biking trip in the Annapurna region, and we had about 11 days we could spare to do an EBC trek, but with set dates for departure and arrival back in Kathmandu.

Ram sorted all details and logistics very efficiently and we could not believe we were going to Everest Base Camp as well.
We met with him before taking off on our mountain bike ride and he was kind enough to let us have his assistant for a short time to sort out purchase of down jackets, sleeping bags and Nepalese SIM cards. That saved us a lot of time and we knew we were getting a great deal on all items!!

Ram is also a firm believer in no Diamox and gave us great advice on this topic.
The absolute highlight of our trek was getting the most amazing guide ever to accompany us.

If you do a trek with Mountain Ram Adventures be sure to ask for Shiva to be your guide. He is so warm, loving, wise - and most important of all ... FUN!!! His excellent written and spoken English skills are a credit to him and very helpful for us.
Shiva showed us the cultural side of Nepal and its beautiful people, often taking us to out of the way places. I will never forget a tour of the village of Lukla. Most people don't venture past the main street. Shiva showed us around. Along the way we picked up a dog and a sweet girl as part of the entourage. We got to see kids riding around on donated mountain bikes on a communal oval, we visited the kissing stone, the monastery and wandered through the streets on dusk. All doors to homes are open and the sense of one family, contentment with simple life and happiness was so heartwarming and had a profound effect on us.

Our whole trek went very smoothly. I was not affected by altitude sickness, but my partner was. Shiva was instrumental in getting him (and others along the way) to EBC without taking Diamox. While we were on our trek, two tourists died due to complications with altitude sickness - both were taking Diamox. I am truly grateful to both Ram and Shiva for their excellent advice and guidance on this!!! Also, make sure you take out travel insurance that covers you for helicopter evacuation. I can’t emphasis this enough.

Trekking by nature is a very friendly pastime and we met lots of people we keep in touch with today.

For those of you that think you can do EBC without a guide - please don't! Not only does it provide much needed employment for locals it will make your trek more enjoyable. Trust me on this. Pay a bit extra and have peace of mind about your accommodation being sorted when you come in from a long day of trekking. Any communication barriers are easily dealt with and your guide and porter if you have one are so happy to help with anything.

Bad weather in Lukla at the end of our trek meant we were delayed getting back to Kathmandu. Then our airline decided to cancel all flights.
Just.
Great.
Not.
An absolute highlight of being delayed was getting to spend time in the company of Ningma Dorje who had just summited Everest for the seventh time. Amazing to chat to him and his team.
Between Shiva and Ram, it was all sorted quickly and we got a helicopter out in time to get back to Kathmandu for our trip back to Australia. Expensive little unexpected event - but so worth it!! Shiva advised us to trek one hour down to a lower helipad because he thought no helicopters would be able to leave Lukla that day. Best advice ever. That's exactly what happened, but because we trekked, we could get out. The helicopter flight, while expensive, was just brilliant and another epic bit of icing on our Nepal cake.

We fell in love with Nepal and will definitely be going back.

Thanks, Mountain Ram Adventures for making our trip one that we will never forget.

A really great and trustworthy company for amazing treks
Oct 2018 • Friends
I did a 24 days trek around Manaslu and Annapurna with Mountain Ram Adventures. Everything worked excellent. They organized everything for us - from the permits to the again procurement of a piece of luggage, that Air China lost on the flight. The guide was really one of the greatest guides you could imagine. Very calm, friedly, fluently English speaking, explaining everything. I will definitely book my next tour with this company. The price is appropriate - be aware that this ist neither one of the most expensive, nor one of the cheapest trekking companies in Kathmandu. But it is definitely worth the money.

5 day Everest View Trek- An unforgettable adventure
Mar 2018 • Friends
I have been dying to visit Nepal for years and so when the opportunity finally presented itself, I was all over it. Unfortunately my brother and I only had 7 days in Nepal so I had to make the most of my time on the ground. In doing some research I found a few companies that offered an abbreviated trekking journey that allowed you to to still experience the lower portion of the Everest Base camp route, and still have the opportunity to see Mt Everest (at a distance of course) but without the 10 + day trail commitment that Base camp requires. I reached out to a bunch of different trekking companies and ultimately decided to go with Mountain Ram Adventures. It was a pretty easy choice! Ram (the owner of the Mtn Ram) is SUPER responsive and he answered my 1,000,000 questions in a very timely manner - and his English is VERY good, which was really nice.

Upon arriving in Kathmandu we had a driver pick us up and take us to the hotel. Our trek experience also included a full day city tour of Kathmandu with an English speaking guide and a driver. We visited all of the top sites in the city and learned a lot about the Nepalese culture. We prepared for our trek that evening and met our guide, Suppa. The next morning we set off for our trekking adventure, bright and early. Ram always makes sure to try and book the earliest flights for his guests since those have the best chances of good weather for landing at the high mountain airports. And its a VERY good thing we were on the first flight of the day, because we were one of only 2 flights that were actually able to land in Lukla that day. High winds picked up, and so the remainder of flights were canceled. That is one thing you really have to be mindful of when planning a trek in Nepal, is the weather. Add and extra day onto both your arrival into the mountains and also departure, since you never know. We got very lucky, but that's because we had an expert planning our trip for us.

The trek itself was spectacular!! I really just kept pinching myself and couldn't believe I was finally fulfilling this dream of mine. The little mountain side villages we passed through were even more charming than I could have imagined and the locals were so friendly. The food was good too! Although we were advised by everyone to eat strictly vegetarian up there, as you cannot trust the meat at all. It was no problem as the food was very good. The scenery is beyond stunning and I have never seen glacial river water like what they have there. Our guide and porter were amazing and we learned a lot about the region, the locals and trekking in general. And of course getting to see Mt Everest was a dream come true. We had a gorgeous blue bird day and to see it flanked by all the other stunning mountains in the Himalayas was like nothing else I have witnessed. I travel ALOT and I would definitely put this up there in my top 3 experiences ever.

And for those of you who worry about a trek being too grueling, I have to say this one was not very hard. The trail is nice and wide and very even in most places. There was really only one "tough" day where we gained some decent altitude, but overall I would say that most people should be able to do this at their own pace with no problem. The highest altitude we went to was the day we saw Everest, and that was 13,000 ft. So if you are prone to altitude sickness, that's obviously something to keep in mind. But they have designed the trek in order to take things slowly and help you acclimate to the altitude as needed.

We also went the first week of March which is the start of the spring trekking season. It was definitely a little chilly at night, but during the day the weather was very pleasant and I mostly hiked in light pants and a long sleeve shirt- but I would start out in a light jacket and hat in the morning but put them in my backpack about 30 min in. My brother was in shorts and a t-shirt mostly. Going later into the season will have warmer weather, but also means a lot more people on the trail. So something to keep in mind!

So to summarize: if you have been thinking about doing a trip to Nepal, stop thinking about it and DO IT! Even if you have a limited amount of time, Ram is able to make something work for you. It was one of the coolest things I have ever done in my life and I'll be back for a longer trip next time!
