A unforgettable journey with lovely people
Oct 2019 • Family
To start off, initial communication with Himal was very easy and he was always quick to answer. He was flexible with the itinerary and was tailoring the trek to our needs.
During the trekking we had a very good time with our guide Tek and our porters Dhill and Birr. They always watched out for us, helped us and overall took good care of us. Tek is a very competent guide, he can speak and understand english easily, knows the area well as well as a lot of locals, hotel owners etc. and is a very kind person. We enjoyed our time with him and the porters a lot and they definitely made friends in us!
We want to emphasize again that we always got taken care of very very good during our trek, that we never felt unsafe or left behind and that we were always closely watched by our guide and porters. We were a married couple of age 60 and a son of age 20 and we all were very happy with their services! All of our individual needs were met and always respected.
Outside trekking and all around, the service that Visit Himalaya Treks provides is outstanding. They will organize every day of the trip and will bring you everywhere you need to go while trying to make your trip as comfortable as possible.
We can highly recommend them for any trip you have in mind in Nepal, Bhutan or Tibet, as they all are very competent and nice people!
Again, thank you very much for making our trip so worthwhile! You surpassed our expectations and we (or at least our son) will definitely come back and are looking forward to seeing you again :)

Kachenjunga Base Camp trek
Mar 2019 • Couples
We are a couple from Switzerland and did KBC with visit himalaya treks in March. Before starting the trek we appreciated that all our questions were answered very fast (communication per email). During the trekking we felt very safe and everything was well organized. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Because of altitute sickness we returned to KTM a few days earlier than planned and visit himalaya treks organized sightseeing and other activities for us.

This is the 3rd time I'm in Nepal and each time I have asked Himal at Visit Himalaya Treks to arrange my trips - it's always suberb! Good and flexible itineraries. This time we enjoyed trek in the Kangenjunga area - highly recommendable! Our guide Krishna did a great job, just like our porter. We always felt like we were in good and safe hands. I can highly recommend using this company, I for sure will next time I come to Nepal! :)

Kanchenjunga: my most challenging trek yet!
Apr 2019 • Solo
Visit Himalaya Treks organised a 23-day trek, over-300 kilometres, to the Kanchenjunga national park in Eastern Nepal. The company made all travel arrangements, incl special permits, flights to/from Bhadrapur, jeep taxi to/from Taplejung and the teahouse accommodation along the way. Their guide, Mr Shambhu Tamang, knew the area well and provided excellent guidance. I was able to visit both Kanchenjunga north and south basecamp, the Jannu basecamp and cross the four passes on the route from Ghunsa to Tseram. A truly memorable trip! Well done, Himal!

Excellent Company!! You will NOT be disappointed!
Apr 2019 • Friends
This was our 5th trekking trip to Nepal and we knew exactly what we wanted for our Kanchenjunga S to N Base Camp Trek. We began planning in Dec 18 for a Mar-Apr 19 trek and all contact with Himal in the office was very professional and responses quick. All questions answered truthfully and a good relationship was established. Final negotiations were smooth and we had a happy agreement for the trek. We met Himal and Raj in the office in KTM along with our Guide Tek and finalized all the details.

All technical aspects of the trek were superb! Great Porters, Dil and Suntos, helped make the trek easier and Tek did a fantastic job as our Guide. We miss them already!!

Use VHT and Himal for all your trekking needs. They provided 100% of what we wanted and are very nice to deal with!!
See you next year for our Dolpo Trek!!!!

Flawless Kanchenjunga Trek
Dec 2018 • Solo
Just back from a highly enjoyable 20-day trek around the Kanchenjunga circuit in Eastern Nepal, arranged by Visit Himalaya Treks who I'd heard were experienced specialists in that particular region.

From the outset Himal was very good at responding to my e-mails quickly and comprehensively, resolving any concerns or questions that I had. Prices were competitive and transparent, with a full breakdown of costs being provided.

A very professional outfit - when I arrived in Kathmandu everything was ready after VHT had made all the necessary arrangements with regards to transport and permits.

Great service from my guide Parsharam, "the singing Guide", who knew the area very well and proved pleasant and well-humoured company for the trek. The trek itself went very smoothly with no major issues encountered; we were very lucky with the weather and had amazing views of the peaks which are stunning in this area of the Himalayas.

In closing, I can highly recommend both the Kanchenjunga Circuit trek and Visit Himalaya Treks in particular, who made for a well-organised and unforgettable trip.

Excellent Kanchenjunga Trek
Nov 2018 • Couples
We are the couple from China and with great helps from Visit Himalaya Treks we did the Kanchenjunga trek in this December.
It was fantastic during the whole 25-day trek since we really enjoyed the landscape, the Limbu villages. Both our guide and porter behaved professionally.
We greatly appreciate Visit Himalaya Treks agency for organizing our impressive trek.

A wonderful trek to Kanchenjunga!
Nov 2018 • Friends
We just recently completed a long camping trek to both Kanchenjunga N & S base camps using the services of Visit Himalaya treks. The net? A BIG thumbs-up for Visit Himalaya – they did an absolutely brilliant job!

This was my 13th trek in Nepal, so I have a fair amount of experience with Nepal trekking agencies. Although I’ve never had a bad trek in Nepal, I certainly have had various “challenges” working with different trekking agencies (I’ve worked with quite a few). We had no such problems with Visit Himalaya -- it’s not an overstatement to say that they performed perfectly in every regard.

As we were planning our custom itinerary, Himal (the owner of Visit Himalaya) was extremely knowledgeable, responsive and helpful. He is an honest, high-integrity individual with a tremendous amount of experience in the trekking industry (he started out as a porter and worked his way up). He shows real empathy for his staff, and ensures that they are well prepared and outfitted for the trek (something that was important to us).

Every member of the staff on our trek was friendly and helpful. The team worked well together, and there were no conflicts of any kind. Our guide, Ishwar, was absolutely wonderful! He was super dedicated and amazingly organized, and ensured that all aspects of the trek ran smoothly. He was helpful but not oppressive, and a real pleasure to be with. He was, by far, the best guide that I’ve ever had on one of my treks!

Visit Himalaya Treks provided us with a wonderful trek at a very fair price. I look forward to using their services again in the future.

Best Team
Nov 2018 • Friends
My friend and I just completed a 26 day trek of Kanchenjunga SBC and NBC. Between the two of us we've completed 17 treks in Nepal (friend 14, me 3) and of all the teams we've used, Visit Himalaya is by far the best. They are a well managed company from the top down and their guides (like Ishwar) are very experienced in all things related to Nepal trekking. Highly recommend them for both their expertise and fair price.
