- DayTrip654235302590 contributionsKailash Manasarovar Yatra June 2024We had an unforgettable experience with our Kailash Manasarovar Yatra organized by Ram Kumar Ji. We are a private group of 12 people from USA. Since our first contact with Ram Kumar Ji to numerous zoom calls to personally meeting him in Kathmandu prior to the start of our journey and through out our journey he was always responsive and patiently answered all our questions. The journey was arranged flawlessly. He was able to accommodate Charan Sparsh when we asked him late in the planning process. All the accommodations were as promised . The food was excellent . We had fresh food, unlimited tea, coffee and drinks through out our journey . The staff - both Nepali and Tibetan are truly amazing - every single one one of them truly care for you and take such good care of you - it is because of them that we could complete the journey - Samir, Tikaram, Mangal, Tamdin, Dawa, Bhute . They were able to accommodate a last minute change in the itinerary also and bring us back safely to Kathmandu . Please look no further - you are good hands. Ram Kumar Adhikari Ji and his team do a fabulous job of arranging the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra! Om Namah Shivah🙏🏽Written 2 September 2024

- 305meghnam0 contributionsBlessed Kailash-Mansarovar YatraOur Kailash Mansarovar trip took place from May 14 to May 29, 2024, and we arranged it through Alpine Eco Trek. Our experience with Ram Kumar Adhikariji, the owner of the travel group, has been amazing from the very beginning. He was always very responsive and patiently addressed all our queries. Our group consisted of 12 people, and he ensured that everyone was comfortable embarking on this holy but tough pilgrimage. Ram Kumarji's team was equally exceptional and made sure we were comfortable throughout the journey. We kicked off our holy yatra with a fantastic six-day stay at the Kathmandu Business Hotel. This place set the perfect tone for our trip, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel right at home. They even personalized our meal menus and catered to our love for 'kadak chai'. Prakriti, Sanjana, Rajendra, Sachin, and the rest of the team made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Praveen, our tour guide in Nepal was also very informative and helpful. Our group followed a well-planned itinerary that included intermittent adjustments to higher altitudes for climate acclimatization. When it came to the trek, the team led by Ram Kumarji, along with our awesome tour guides Sameer, Tikka, Mann, and Tam-Din, along with others, played a crucial role in the success of our Kailash yatra. These gentlemen were always around, ready to serve with a smile. From preparing mouthwatering meals to ensuring everyone's tea or coffee preferences were remembered, they looked after us. They even helped us navigate the tough terrain with steep inclines and declines. Some of our group members felt the effects of the high altitude and needed to be moved to lower altitudes. Thanks to Tam-Din, our point of contact from China, these members were taken care of and attended to personally. His caring and attentive approach put everyone at ease. Ram Kumarji provided us with detailed information about what to expect on the trip. We felt well-prepared and in good hands with the team members. Ultimately, they became part of our group and felt like extended family. Ram Kumarji extended all courtesies to our group, including after-hours laundry service and his humble nature made it very easy to interact with him. He was also very receptive to feedback and made adjustments as needed. Our Yatra was blessed in that we had perfect weather throughout the parikrama and clear darshan of Mahadev's home, till the very end! We highly recommend reaching out to Alpine-Eco Trek for any trekking needs, especially for the Kailash-Mansarovar Yatra. If we are fortunate enough to visit Kailash again, we will definitely reach out to Ram Kumarji.Written 25 June 2024

- christopherbB6592EV0 contributionsAlpine Eco Trek & Expedition are the Best!Alpine Eco Trek & Expedition are amazing!! They gave our group of four an incredible experience on every level. The Khumbu region is no joke and our guide Sujan made sure we were taken care of every minute of the day. He is truly an amazing guy, and I hope you get to meet him. A lot can go wrong when you’re trekking at over 5k meters elevation but Sujan was prepared for every eventuality. Laid back and every bit an expert mountaineer, Sujan really went above and beyond to help provide our group with the trek of a lifetime. I should also mention that everyone we encountered in the company was outstanding: from Ram, the owner, to our 4x4 driver, and of course our intrepid and exceptionally kind porters, I can’t say enough good things about Alpine Eco Trek & Expedition. Book with them. “Zam zam!”Written 27 May 2024
- renatapE9651LA0 contributionsUnforgettable experience and amazing guide and host!Such an unforgettable experience with gorgeous scenery, great food, and good company. Ram helped us the entire way even through our stay in Kathmandu- our itinerary was sent to us beforehand so we knew what to expect. During the trek we had the best guide as well who made sure our experience was flawless, he was instrumental in getting us good places to stay upon arrival at each town, and was very flexible also when the itinerary had to change a bit. It is crucial to have a good guide and a good company organizing this trip and I couldn’t recommend Alpine Eco Trek enough!Written 21 April 2024
- suzier1020 contributionsFabulous Trip to Tibet. In late September this year (2023) I took a 15 day (14 night) overland trip from Nepal to Tibet...and return, including EBC and Mt. Kailash kora . As I had previously visited Tibet in 2018, I was initially planning to go with the same Tibetan agent I had then used, but unfortunately their trip dates didnt suit my schedule. Therefore, I randomly searched here on TA for some Nepal based agencies with excellent reviews, as I could then combine my regular trip to Nepal with another visit to Tibet. Ram Adhikari's agency 'Alpine Eco Trek & Expedition' really stood out against the others and I contacted him via his Whats App phone number. I also noted the itinerary they offered gave additional days for acclimatisation in Tibet, and the price was very reasonable. Some regular conversations over several months followed, where Ram would address all my questions in a very prompt and informative manner, either by phone call on WA or email. I particularly liked the itinerary Ram and his agency provided, allowing our small group of 6 to experience the full moon at Lake Manasarover before driving on to do Mt Kailash kora. The late September/early October dates delivered us perfect weather throughout our trip of 15 days. I returned to Nepal and met Ram in person and I immediately felt at ease and confident with my choice of agents. As a regular to the country, and therefore wishing to make my own arrangements for accommodation and time spent in Kathmandu, Ram was more than happy to adjust my tour price accordingly. All aspects of the visa and permit process for China/Tibet were handled by Ram in a smooth, stress free and efficient manner. We drove in 2 jeeps from Ktm and were met at the border on Tibet side by our wonderful kind, gentle, caring and knowledgeable Tibetan guide Tashi and safe and careful van driver Mingma. At all times I felt safe in our van as Mingma expertly negotiated winding high passes and 1,000's of km's of good roads within Tibet. Tashi was absolutely amazing and so fun to be with, patiently dealing with personalities and anything that came up along the way. Ram followed our progress closely from Kathmandu, available at all times if anyone needed to contact him. Our group had mixed fitness levels, and some chose the option to ride a horse on the kora. Tashi would one minute be up the front checking on the fastest walkers, the next checking on those behind........to make sure everyone was doing, and more importantly... feeling well. He must have walked at least double, if not triple the 52km kora route. lol We had some flexibility in our itinerary along the way and everyone was happy with the arrangements and adjustments we made as a group. We saw and did so much without feeling too rushed, and the accommodation choices that Ram had made for us exceeded our expectations. In Lhasa I personally wished to stay at the hotel I had stayed in on my previous visit and Ram respected my choice and organised that option for me. Without hesitation I can thoroughly recommend Ram Adhikari and his agency 'Alpine Eco Trek & Expedition'.Written 8 December 2023
- Richard36080 contributionsAmazing Mt. Kailash ExperienceIn September 2023 I traveled to Mt Kailash and Mt. Everest Base Camp with Alpine Eco Trek and Expedition. I couldn't have asked for a better person arrange this trip than Ram. I spoke to him several times before the trip and he adressed all my questions and concerns. During the trip anytime concerns arose he also patiently addressed everything. If you are planning on visiting Mt. Kailash or another destination serviced by Alpine Eco look no further. I am very confident you will be happy you selected this agency for your pilgrimage or hoilday.Written 22 November 2023

- A7300FHlisab0 contributionsAmazing trip - great guideTibet, China and Mt Kailesh custom tour/pilgrimage. The trip was incrediable. Was able to join a small group at the last minute and visited the highlights of Tibet- Mt Everest, Shigatse, Lhasa, Lake Manasarovar and Mt. Kailesh entering from Nepal on a customized tour. Alpine Eco Trek and Expedition was amazing getting everything organized, visas, info on Nepal and Tibet. Ram's attention to detail and personal touch before, during and after the trip was great. The guide Kul in Tibet was wonderful, English was great and he provided great insight to Today's tibet and places we visited. He took care of everyone’s health when needed and made sure we were entertained during the long car rides. For the pilgrimage he was very attentive and kept us focused on the trek, helping us reach 5600 meters and the rest of the pilgrimage. Would highly recommend Ram and Alpine to arrange Tibet and Nepal trips.Written 7 August 2023

Namaste ! For our fourth time in Nepal we choose to cross the border with China. We made a little trekking to go to Simikot to Hilsa (no difficulties except raining the first day !). After we had choose to visit the Guge Kingdom; it's far (1day driving from Darchen) but what's a amazing place ! If you appreciate history don't skip this last Kingdom. Before we have been in Ladakh (India) /Himal Pradesh(India) /Mustang (Nepal)and Dolpo (Nepal) and the Guge Kingdom is the last piece of the puzzle. The monasteries suffered degradations following the cultural revolution, but we can see some beautiful wall painting from the tenth century and some original sculpture (but not so many). After we make the kora around mount Kailash (with the sun during the high pass; Droma la pass, the day after it's snowing !) Then we wanted to see mount Everest from tibetan Side (we stay 2 day at the base camp and every morning it's cloudy but after 11AM the cloud disappear so we can see the top of the world!). it's good to know that actually the Everest base camp were everybody arrive it's not the Base camp for climbers (we are stopped 8km before).
After we came back to Kathmandu by the road (from Langtang Area, because after the earthquake the road between KTM and Lhassa was close).
We have 2 guides for this trip; one for Nepal and one for Tibet. We really appreciate our 2 guides who do the best for us (accommodation, food, cultural seeing,...) .
So we know that we have to come back in Nepal, the paradise for trekkers and climbers !
And of course we will choose Alpine Eco Trek & Expedition for our next trip; because we found the good interlocutor (Ram KUMAR). We can prepare our trip before with him, and when we are in the place nothing change, everything is planed.
So thanks a lot to Ram KUMAR, Ramesh (our nepali guide) and his crew, Yangkyi (tibetan guide) and Sonam (our tibetan driver).

For the first time visitor to Nepal and the Himilayas, there are always many questions as one tries to get a feeling for what lies ahead. We wanted to deal with a local Nepalese company. Alpine Eco trek was our choice and as it turned out it was an excellent choice to be sure. Pre trip answers were handled timely, thoroughly and concisely. Arriving in Katmandu, tired and a bit overwhelmed it is so nice to have been met and escorted to your hotel. That was only the start of our well managed and supported trek to Everest base camp. Ram Kumar and guides and porters Rajesh, Amit, and Tej were always there for us and I can,t imagine it being any better. Running into some mediacl issues while on the trek created some scedule challenges but those were handled without a hitch.Recieving that support when one is a bit down and out of sorts is so nice and continued until I was home and stable again. That is going above and beyond. Finding some extra time on our Nepalese visit, Ram lined us up for a visit to Chitwan National Park for 4 days. A warm jungle excursion with Elephants, Crocs and birds was just the ticket for recovery from altitude. Ram and Alpine Eco trek must have great connections in the industry and we were the beneficiary. Everything came off without a hitch. One can`t visit Nepal without a curiosity of the culture, religion and of course Everest. Sitting down with Ram always led to facinating talks enlightening us on what we were witnessing.Thank you Ram and Alpine Eco Trek team for a life enriching experience.

Please note. This website does not let me specify my actual trip date. Mine was in April 2011, but I did not want to pass up this opportunity to praise Mr. Ram Kumar for his outstanding service and hospitality then. He took care of all the arrangements for myself and my traveling companion. That included 3 days of touring in Katmandu, then the complex shuffle involved in transferring us across the Chinese border to continue our trip as a car trek through Tibet (and a train trip Lhasa>Beijing). Mr. Kumar set that all up. One day in Katmandu included a dinner Mr. Kumar hosted for us and included his wife and young daughter. A fine man who navigates the cultural divide beautifully and has persevered despite the challenges of recent events in Nepal.

Last year in October I've been with a few travel mates to Central Tibet and Everest Base Camp on a three weeks tour organised by Ram Kumar, the manager of the company, and his team. From the first friendly contact already months in advance, when it was just an idea to travel to Tibet, till we arrived in Kathmandu at the end of the trip, we had not only done a fantastic, amazing and perfectly organised travel through an unbelievably beautiful and extreme country, but also found a very helpful, trustworthy friend in Ram Kumar, who made this possible. All our wishes, what we wanted to see in Tibet he considered while planning the trip and all our e-mails and questions concerning the visa, altitude sickness, trekking etc. he always answered within a few hours. In Kathmandu he warmly welcomed us and even took care for our group personally.
The tour itsself was perfectly organised and all worked so well: our friendly, caring and knowledgeable Tibetan guides and driver, the culture and landscapes of Tibet and of course the people of our group made it an extraordinary experience!
I can only recommend Ram Kumar and his company: If I go back to Tibet (and for sure I will do so one day) I'd go again with him and his team, who made an unforgettable trip come true!

I booked this day hike to Nagarkot. I was picked up at my hotel. I was alone and had a private guide, Shekhar Thapa. We were driven to Nagarkot, then hiked all day, had lunch and ended at a temple. I was then driven back to my hotel.
What makes the day so memorable is my guide, Shekhar. He was the perfect mix of talkative and quiet. I learned so much from him about animals. nature, eco systems. He also treks to Base Camp and told me all about Everest.
I felt so comfortable with him. We had good talks about our families and our lives. It was just the kind of experience you would want to have as a lifetime memory. I'm thankful for the day and the friendship.
