- wadel8120 contributionsEverest Base Camp TrekGreat trip with Alpine Ramble! Our guide, Sujel was also very good. Despite the changing Nepali weather conditions, we were able to reroute effectively and accomplish our goal of reaching Everest Base Camp. Certainly worth the price and would recommend to anyone attempting to accomplish such an awesome experience in the Himalayas!Written 8 October 2024
- jacobfB4237YX0 contributionsAlpine Ramble EBC TrekOur guide Sujel was great! We ran into some weather issues but he was able to reroute us and do some other great activities during our trek. We had a great time and he made us feel safe and welcome. I highly recommend using Alpine Ramble and requesting Sujel. My friend and I came from the states and had a great time going to base camp and back. Thanks again to Sujel and Alpine Ramble! They were great and affordable!Written 8 October 2024
- GrandTour5897710 contributionsSimply amazing.Due to time constraints I did the Everest View Trek 5 days trek and had an amazing time! I was able to get a clear view of Everest and the views along journey were simply breathtaking. Special thanks to Dil and the rest of the Alpine Ramble team despite the last minute booking, and moreover for giving me a truly memorable experience!!!Written 8 October 2024
- 204krishnag0 contributionsEBC - Alpine Ramble is by far the Best agents to choseAfter watching lot of Vlogs, i made a good choice of selecting Alpine Ramble as my agent to do my EBC. Guide Dorji and Lakshman was really helpful and took extreme care. I started dealing with Dil Gurung for planning my trip and Dil was always responding on time through whatsapp and was providing all help on time. Lakshman was there at the Airport to pick me and Dil briefed my entire trip plan the day before we started. We all got stuck in Lobuche after succeful completion of EBC and Dil organised rescue heli to bring us back to Kathmandu. I really reccommend these guys if any of you planning your trip to Nepal. Kudos to entire team.Written 2 October 2024
- Guide243408564430 contributionsBase cam trek - Sherpa teamThis trip was one to remember. Everything was perfect, and we were lucky to have the perfect weather to go with it. Our guide Harry "Potter" was the star of the show, was very fun to have. I recommend having him if you want to know the local traditions, best scenery and view points, and a good personal photographer 😁. It was a good combo with our porter, Bhakta, who seemed to never run out of energy. I recommend you have an experienced guide, since ours saved us maaaaany days of getting stuck in airports (for bad weather) or getting caught in bad weather conditions. Plus it's nice to know the best places to eat :)Written 2 October 2024

- davidlF4773XT0 contributions12 day ABC base camp trekIt was my first trip to Nepal and my dream to track Annapurna base camp. We used Alpine Ramble and we were well supported and in very good hands by their team. We knew it was going to be physically challenging and with basic amenities. But the Alpine team made good decisions to lead us on a physically well balanced trek and made us as comfortable as possible during our evening recovery. The Alpine Ramble team Guide (Prashant) has made more than 100 trips, very experienced, professional and dedicated in ensuring our safety and comfort every moment of our journey. Our gratitude to him and also to our ever smiling and supportive porters (Krishna & Ram) 🙏🙏🙏Written 24 September 2024
- Journey345564649160 contributions12 Days - Everest Base Camp Trek with AlpineRambleNamaste! 🙏🏻 Has just returned from an EBC trek booked under AlpineRamble to Everest Base Camp at 5364m. Goes without saying it was a successful trek! 🥳🥳 Prior to engaging their services, my friends and I did a check against several other trekking companies. After several rounds of enquiries, we decided that AlpineRamble was our best fit - Private tour with guide for 4 pax. Communication with AlpineRamble was via WhatsApp, email. The preferred payment method was 20% deposit upon confirmation (via wire transfer), and the remaining was paid in USD. The trek was for September 2024, even thou it was right around peak season. Dil (the person we corresponded with) was still rather prompt over WhatsApp. Dil has made arrangements for all the provisionals such as domestic flight booking into and out of Lukla along with reservations at the Tea Houses along the trekking route. On the day of our arrival into KTM. We made contact with our guide - Tek. He warmly welcomed us to Nepal 🇳🇵 with marigold flowers. Our inaugural flight into Lukla marks the very start of our 12 days trek to Everest Base Camp. The trek became significantly more challenging at higher altitudes, and with that, the scenery along the way was nothing short of breathtaking (also due to the lower O2 levels) I personally felt that our two young porters - Sanjay and Tek (younger), thou they weren't particularly English-speaking they brought along their smiles and were very respectful. They kept an eye out for our safety as co-guides from time to time (even thou they were almost always ahead of us with our duffle bags) with the exception of acclimatization days. The next day's event was always briefed to us the night before. Fast forward, Day 9 was D-Day. Our final push to EBC, temperatures dropped, it drizzled and snowed a lil at EBC, sadly no clear skies. Oh, well 🤷🏻♂️. Overall, Alpineramble provided us with a private trek that was flexible. They did whatever possible for us to have an enjoyable trek, and everything else was left to mother nature. As a group, we didn't feel neglected, and Tek (our guide) was always available to us when faced with any doubts or uncertainties. Special shout-out to our porters - Sanjay and Tek (younger). As a group of 4 pax, we had fairly simple expectations, and nobody came down with any severe medical related issues other than the usual traveller’s diahorrea and blisters from continuous trekking. All in all, it was a very enjoyable and positive experience trekking with AlpineRamble, and we made friends along the way! Kudos to the hardworking bunch 🙏🏻. Keep up the good work!Written 23 September 2024
- cannytong0 contributions12days Annapurna Base Camp TrekThe contrasts between city life and the natural environment can really bring out mixed emotions, especially when dealing with the less glamorous side of nature like animal droppings and the lack of clean facilities. Yet, the beauty of the scenery and the professionalism of the Alpine Ramble team support to made it all worth it. The care shown by our mountain guide Prashan and porters Krishna and Ram reflects the mutual respect and understanding that can elevate such trips. It's thoughtful how the guide made cleanliness a priority for us, even coordinating hot water showers at the guesthouse after long climbs. The physical efforts of the porters, carrying heavy loads, really highlight the importance of packing light and respecting their work. Thanks for the boss Dil suggestion to fly between Kathmandu and Pokhara sounds like a much more efficient option, especially given the long and bumpy bus ride. It was an exhausting yet rewarding journey overall!Written 23 September 2024
- janbG7532RR0 contributionsA "once in a lifetime" experience! We did the EBC Trek with Alpine Ramble Treks and we were very satisfyed. Of course you could go on your own and safe a couple of dollars (or rhupies 😉) but the company takes care of absolute EVERYTHING. They even picked us up from the airport when we arrived in Kathmandu which was very comforting. Our guides Krishna Dhakal and Wupal Bhupal took good care of us. We can really recommend these guys and the company. :)Written 23 September 2024

We could not be happier to be guided by Amar, very kind, helpful, amazing person. We enjoyed our time with him and made a strong team. - lottip1450 contributionsAmazing and unforgettable first 5000meter adventure! My husband Daniel & I did the 8 days Langtang Valley Trekking Tour with Alpine Ramble as our honeymoon. We had the BEST time and we enjoyed every minute of the trip. From the moment when we booked the trip, Alpine Ramble offered amazing service, were very fast in responding to every question and sent really good information, like a packing list and detailed descriptions of the tour. They really think of everything and are very well organized. When we arrived in Kathmandu we were picked up by a very kind driver who welcomed us with flower necklaces and drove us to our very comfortable hotel. On the way to the hotel he showed us a lot of sights already and explained interesting things about the Nepalese culture. On our arrival day we were welcomed personally by the company owner Dil in our hotel who introduced us to our amazing mountain guide Ram and took all the time to explain everything about the upcoming tour. The whole team of Alpine Ramble is really welcoming, very kind and do everything to make sure that we have the best time of our life. You really notice that they care a lot and want to ensure that their customers have everything that’s needed to feel comfortable and well taken care of. The Langtang Valley Trek was perfect for us and every day on the trail was a gift. We are so grateful for our amazing dream team (my husband, me, our amazing mountain king guide Ram and our strong and kind porter Hom) ! Ram and Hom are the best and we feel so lucky that they were there to show us everything and guided us on the tour. When we struggled with the height or we’re tired they helped us and every day provided great snacks and beautiful teahouse accommodations. We learned a lot about the Nepalese culture from Ram and Hom and we laughed together and felt supported every moment during the tour! They really do their job with passion and joy ! Great accommodation, delicious food, very personal and kind support! We are very glad that we picked Alpine Ramble as our touring company and will come back next year to do the Annapurna Circuit tour with the same dream team! There are many touring companies who offer Nepal trekking tours and we heard many good things about Alpine Ramble before via YouTube, so we booked with them. It was the best decision!! Thank you Dil, Ram and Hom for making our honeymoon trip so special and unforgettable! We fly home with a very grateful heart and many beautiful memories. And thank you to all the Nepalese people for being so welcoming. We will be back soon again and will book again with Alpine Ramble! Namaste and many greetings, Lotti & Daniel from GermanyWritten 18 September 2024

Alpine Ramble trekking company is definitely the best service provider with wonderful hospitality, adapting to our requirements, supportive guide and porter throughout the trek. The trek company CEO Dil gurung was kind enough to answer all my doubts and questions with patience at any time. We have trekked to annapurna basecamp during october 2nd to october 11th and mr. Dil gurung has welcomed us and took care of us in the best possible way till we departed from kathmandu. Our porter Bir and our guide has been the most humble helpful and very caring through the trek and i can definitely say that this trek provider is definitely the best and different from the other providers i have come across in that trek. Though it rained excessively for two days on the trek, the guide and porter took care of us very well and ensured our safety. If it comes to trekking in nepal again, it will be definitely be ALPINE RAMBLE trekking company for me!! Go for it without a doubt!!

I had an amazing ABC trek with Alpine Ramble's team. Dil knows a thing or two about hospitality. As soon as I landed in Kathmandu, I was greeted by his team at the airport, and all the arrangements were taken care of. The best part was that he had built in flexibility into the itinerary. I wanted to spend an extra day at Pokhara, and Dil was more than happy to adjust everything, including air tickets, without any extra charges.
The best part of this travel was Ayush (my guide) and Shangila (my porter). They were very professional and accommodating right from the beginning. The trek from Ghandruk to Choomrong on day 1 was hard, given the uphill but Ayush was always there motivating and kept me going. When I was at Himalaya and was struggling to push to MBC, Shangila was gracious to pick up my shoulder bag and both of them kept encouraging me. It was amazing to finally reach ABC. The team not only knew the terrain but was very patient with an inexperienced trekker like me. I stopped at many places to take pics and videos and they never hurried. They made sure we had the best service at the tea houses and always made sure I got proper food and rest.
If you are considering doing the ABC trek, you must check out Alpine Rambles. The best people in the business with an amazing friendly attitude.

We came to Nepal to trek the Annapurna circuit in about 10 days and Alpine Ramble went above and beyond to help us achieve this! They were fantastic at organising all required documents for trekking, made sure we had the necessary gear, picked us up at the airport and were always available via WhatsApp when we needed assistance. There was even a point during our trek where one member of the group became too sick to continue and Alpine Ramble was on top of the rescue immediately. They organised a helicopter evacuation through the insurance company and were personally on the helicopter to make sure the member of our group was properly taken care of. Nepal is an amazing place with so much to see and Alpine Ramble will always be our go to trekking company for safely experiencing all this amazing country has to offer!

I did the ABC trek with Alpine Ramble in June 2022. I had originally planned to do the Everest Base Camp trek, however, there were flight issues with Lukla and Alpine Ramble seamlessly helped to change my schedule to ABC.
The trek was great, Laxman was a fantastic guide and Deb a great porter. They both offered 5* service and ensured my trip was as good as it can be. I highly recommend Laxman’s services as a guide.
Overall the trip was amazing, and I would thoroughly recommend booking through Alpine Ramble as they are honest, trustworthy and will ensure you have the best trip. Thanks again Alpine Ramble!

Brilliant trek- amazing views and great scenery! Guide (laichman) was extremely helpful and accommodating to our needs from the start. Also very informative and was very happy to adapt the trip when asked! The porters were very smiley and helpful aswell! Dil was also brilliant at organising the trek and very patient, despite us changing it multiple times due to work commitments.

I do not recommend doing the tour in 5 days (the standard itinerary for almost all agencies is 7-10 days) unless you are used to altitudes of 4000 meters. Before starting the tour, the agency itself gives you a guide with recommendations saying that you should not climb more than 600m per day. However, on 1 of the days you climb more than 1200m. The result was that my wife and I had moderate altitude sickness with oxygen levels of around 83. Remember that at the base camp, if you get very sick at night, the helicopter will not be able to rescue you and you will have to wait until morning. Another risk that should be considered is avalanche. We went in March 2024 and witnessed an avalanche on the way up that almost hit some people. On the way down, the next day, we saw that a huge avalanche had passed through the trail the night before. I recommend avoiding going in that month. Apart from the bad part, the trekking is spectacular with incredible views and is well worth doing (with the right duration and at the right time of year).

Doing the ABC trek was one of the most exciting and difficult things I have ever done. I was initially very intimidated because of how high and remote everything seemed. However, from the start I was given a lot of support and guidance from Dil and his company. Dil and my guide Tilak came and met me at a cafe where they gave me a ceremonial welcome before the start of the trip. Even before the trip, Dil worked very hard to make sure that all matter prior to the trek were settled.
When the trek started I really felt that they did a great job at making transportation and other non trekking mattes as efficient and seamless as possible. They handled food and communication with locals before the trek and throughout.
During the trek, I was so grateful to be in company with Tilak as my guide. Our relationship felt very much like big and little brother , or in nepalese language Dai and Bhai. He was constantly encouraging me and helping me through all the difficult parts in the trek. He also knew so much about the surrounding culture and history of the area. I didn't expect to learn so much in that regard. Beyond that his energy and constant positivity was unmatched. He also makes a very good pizza! I know that if I was to do another trek I would definitely request Tilak again :).
My porter, Bhim was also extremely helpful and I know I couldn't have done the trip without him either. He was constantly helping me with the little things and even when I felt under the weather he would bring me warm water and other things to help. He was also very social and I really appreciated being able to talk to him during the entirety of the tip.
While the views were unmatched and the adventure was great, I really felt that my favorite part of this trek was the bond and memories I made with my guide Tilak and porter Bhim. I am really sad that it is over but know that our friendship will continue after this trip. The other thing I really wanted to emphasize was how open to communication and willing to meet in person the owner Dil was. I know it must be extremely busy to run a company and i'm just really grateful for the time he made for me.
I will definitely be coming back to Alpine Ramble for trekking in the future! Dhanyabad!!!!!

I booked my Annapurna base camp trek though WhatsApp with the owner Dil and he was immediately so friendly and welcoming and helped me organise the whole thing, arriving in Nepal I was also greeted by the team and the hotel, breakfast and transportation to Pokhara was already organised. All trekking passes were already organised as-well. Dil was incredibly thorough explaining the tour and everything it included and also suggested ways to spend my time in Nepal. My trekking guide Ayush was so amazing, so kind and knowledgeable. He always ensured I was taken care of and feeling well and his time management was great ensuring we left and arrived at each destination on time. He constantly checked on my health and went above and beyond to assure I was comfortable along the trek. The guides carry so much medicine for any sickness you may be experiencing. I travelled solo as a 21 yr old woman and I felt so safe every single second of this experience and I have Ayush, Dil and the alpine ramble team to thank for that, my trip would not have been the same without them. The Annapurna base camp was such an incredible experience and one I will remember forever.

I had such a great experience trekking with Alpine Ramble! The organizer was so flexible to change the plan according to our wishes and it was really amazing. They picked us up in the airport, helped us buying the needed equipment and made us feel really comfortable before the trek. The trekking guide, Krishna, was really good at reading our mood and giving us snickers when needed haha. Overall it was such a great and professional experience! I would really recommend booking with this company.

We were at first very nervous for the trek, however after meeting with our guide Laxman and porter Silah they had instantly made us feel reassured and comfortable. It was a challenge and such a rewarding experience and 100% worth the outcome. Laxman made us feel at home checking up on us and giving us the best advice. He never pushed us past our limit and always went with our pace, we highly recommend him as a guide to making it to the base camp. Silah is a legend of a porter was always very respectful and catered to our needs, his service was top notch. Our time with Alpine Ramble has been nothing but amazing for us.

I have another question regarding weather! Do we need winter steady clothes even when doing the tour end of September/beginning of October? Or normal light summery clothing / trekking appropriate clothing. And if so, what specifically is required? Thank you.

Hello! I am very interested in the 5-6 day Annapurna Base Camp Trek. I have a question regarding pickup: I will stay in Kathmandu for 4 days as soon as I arrive and am planning on then visiting Pokhara for a couple days as well. Can I join from Pokhara or not? Where does the trek start exactly? And if I can’t join you, should I stay in Kathmandu for you to pick me up?
