What to expect
  • Day 1 - Landing at Kathmandu On your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, our representatives will pick you up with your name on a sign board and will escort you to the hotel. At the hotel, we have organized a small welcome program just for you. Day 2 - Kathmandu Sightseeing After breakfast, we will be taking you to a short walk around Kathmandu Durbar Square, Kumari’s Palace and the Durbar Square Museum that once used to be a palace where the kings lived. On this day, we will be having a short presentation describing entire journey for the great expedition ahead. We will also be visiting local hire shop to pick up last minute equipment required. Day 3 - Fly to Pokhara and Trek to Ulleri (2050 m) After having breakfast, we will depart from Kathmandu to Pokhara by flight which takes 25 minutes to reach. Pokhara is one of the popular tourist destinations of Nepal admired as a natural paradise by its amusing views of Himalayas including Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, as well as the five mountains of Annapurna. Upon landing Pokhara, we will be meeting our trekking guides and drive for Nayapul from where, we will begin our first day trek to Ulleri. Crossing the Bhurungdi Khola (river) via a bridge to the village of Tikhedhunga and climbing monstrous thousand steps hill that will really test of our stamina, we reach a beautiful settlement of Ulleri. Day 4 - Trek to Ghorepani (2750 m) Trek of about 4 to 5 hours passing several hill, we reach Ghorepani. The name Ghorepani in Nepali means ‘horse-water’ due to it being an important campsite for traders before it became a trekker's stop. Ghorepani is an interesting place with small shops and stalls for selling local products and crafts. The town has two parts: one in a saddle and the other a few hundred feet lower. We stop at the higher part of the Ghorepani village that offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains including Annapurna South and Nilgiri mountains. Day 5 - Sunrise at Poon Hill View Point (3210 m) to Tadapani (2700 m) Getting up early in the dawn and climbing a steep ascent to the top of Poon Hill, we will be able to catch the magnificent view of glimmering white mountains turing into a golden stack. After imprisoning the mesmerizing scenery into our camera, mind and heart, we descend back to Ghorepani. After a break on Ghorepani, we will be moving for ending of our journey. We descend through rhododendron forests, pass by spectacular waterfalls along the way and reach Tadapani where we will be able to check on the sunset of Himalayas. The entire day trek is about 6 to 7 hours. Day 6 - Ghandruk (1940 m) Trekking for 3 to 4 hours through the dense and dark forest and a thick forest of old rhododendron trees, we reach a slope settlement with stone houses mostly inhabited by the Gurung people called Ghandruk. Along with enjoying the stunningly close-up towering views of Fishtail, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli mountains, we also acquaint ourselves with the simple but rich cultural traditions of the Gurung people at the Gurung Museum in Ghandruk. Day 7 - Ghandruk to Pokhara Today will be the last day of your trek. On this day, we will be trekking for 4 hours from Ghandruk to Nayapul. From Nayapul, we will be taking an hour long drive to pokhara, where we will be spending a lovely evening by the lake-side of Pokhara enjoying the sensational landscape. Day 8 - Back to Kathmandu In the early morning, we will be returning back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. We take the Prithvi Highway which is approximately 7 hours drive to reach Kathmandu. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we return to Hotel and have time to rest and relax. You can enjoy spa and massage treatments to soothe the body pain from trekking. Day 9 - Final Departure It may be an end to one journey, but another will surely begin! Your journey to Annapurna Panorama Trek has officially came to an end on this day. Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight time, our representative will transfer you to the airport.
