World Peace Pagoda, the enormous Buddhist stupa, situated at an altitude of 1098.65m on the top of a hill on the southern shore of Phewa Lake is being an impressive sight in itself. The shrine is a great vantage point which offers the spectacular views of the Annapurna range, Phewa Lake, the Pokhara city. The brilliant-white World Peace Pagoda was constructed by Buddhist monks from the Japanese Nipponzan Myohoji organization.
The Peace Pagoda reflects four prominent stages of Buddha’s life in four directions: where he was born in Lumbini, where he became enlightened in Bothgaya, where he taught most of his life time in Sarnath, and where he reached nirvana at Kushi Nagar.
The professional tour guide will pick you up and take you to the Phewa Lake 9:00 AM. You will take a boat; visit Taal Barahi Temple, lies in the middle of Fewa Lake for 15-20 minutes.
After boating, you will start hiking to Peace Pagoda. This is a 6.56 km hike in Pumdi Bhumdi, west east of Nepal. It takes 1 hr. Reached at the hilltop of Peace Pagoda. Enjoy the panoramic view of Fewa Lake, Pokhara City and lofty Himalayas. Capture the beautiful moments in your camera. You will hike down Chhorepatan and Davi's fall and Gupteshwar Cave. At the ends of the tour, drive you back to the hotel.
