After morning pickup at your Taipei hotel, travel with your private guide in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle to the city center.
Begin by visiting Taipei 101, heading up to the observation deck, which is located on the 89th floor at 1,253 feet (382 meters) above sea level. Soak in views of Taipei and its surroundings, and learn about the engineering and construction of this skyscraper. To prevent collapse in an earthquake, the building contains the world’s largest wind-damper, a massive 1.6 million-pound (800-ton) sphere located near the top of the building.
Have a delicious lunch of Xiao Long Bao (steamed dumplings) at Din Tai Fung, a world-famous dumpling restaurant with roots in Taipei. Din Tai Fung opened in Taipei in 1958, and has since expanded around the world to more than a dozen countries.
After a lunch of about 1.5 hours, head to Beitou, located in the most hilly district of Taipei, the far north of the city. The hot spring tradition in Beitou was formed during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan. Known as onsen in Japanese, the hot springs resort offer a peaceful atmosphere that you can enjoy the hot springs in your own private bath.
At the end of seven hours, your guide returns you to your hotel to end your tour.
