About
Visit Bangkok on a half-day tour that takes in three of the city’s most spectacular Buddhist temples: the Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho), the Temple of the Golden Buddha (Wat Traimit), and the Marble Temple (Wat Benchamabophit). Visiting with a guide is a great way to learn more about Thailand's Buddhist temples, from religious practices to their shrines and symbolic architecture.

Highlights
Discover Thailand’s spiritual traditions by visiting widely varied temples
See places where local people come to worship
Stay cool by exploring Bangkok in a climate-controlled vehicle
Convenient pickup and drop-off at selected hotels
What to expect
Meet a driver at your Bangkok hotel and then board a climate-controlled vehicle to the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, the first stop of the day. This is one of the largest and oldest temples in Bangkok, with more than 1,000 images of the Buddha, and it’s considered by many to be the birthplace of traditional Thai massage. Here and throughout the tour, encounter traditional religious practices—take advantage of your time with a guide to ask about what you see. Next, continue to the Temple of the Golden Buddha, with a solid gold Buddha statue that was long hidden under a layer of plaster. The final temple visit is the Marble Temple, where traditional Thai architecture gleams in white Italian stone. After a half-day of temples and shrines, this tour concludes with drop-off at the original departure point.

Pleasant tour seeing the main temple sights. Given lots of interesting facts by informative guide. Declined the gem factory tour at the end and returned directly to our hotel. Would recommend.

If you've seen one Buddah, you've seen them all.
Nov 2019
Not really impressed by this Buddah. After seeing the Big Buddah on the hill in Phukett, nothing compares, they are all over hyped. I guess if your a Budhist it would be different. It's also difficult to locate the building it's in the Wat Pho compound.

Interesting tour , wonderful attraction with informative guide.
Aug 2019
We booked this tour through our Australian travel agent . Our tour guide, Suki picked us up from our hotel and spoke very good english . We arrived at the gates of this impressive tourist attraction, and was guided into the grand palace. It was great having a tour guide that was very informative and knowledgeable , and could give us a detailed information about this tourist attraction. he showed us around and took photos of each of the couples. The tour did stop off at the gem gallery which was interesting to watch the video of how gems are made and cut .However you get constantly followed by employees to buy something. The tour drove us past the flower market and chinatown . Yes , we did the tour in the morning too and would recommend doing this as it gets quite hot.

Jul 2019 • Couples
Peter, our tour guide, was extremely entertaining and enthusiastic. The pick up was on time and got us the temples way before the crowds. Being on the grounds without a lot of tourists was very peaceful. Luckily it was only us on the tour. I could have done without the stop at the gem market, it seemed to be a tourist trap (that's my only critique). But we were able to breeze out of there fairly quickly.

A great way to quickly and efficiently see the temples
Jan 2019 • Couples
Our guide Peter and the minivan collected us from our hotel right on time. We were initially advised 7am but then received a message the day before at the hotel 7:30 so that was good. There was my husband and I and only one other man. Peter was very enthusiastic, spoke English well and explained points of interest as we drove along through China town. We first went to Temple of the Golden Buddha. Peter explained the sights, purchased our tickets (no extra cost to us) but did not enter with us, just advised time to meet him. This temple was beautiful and early in the morning not too crowded. From here we went to the Reclining Buddha. Again Peter purchased ticket and we got a bottle of water included. Again he gave us an overview and then a time to meet. This place was amazing, as well as the Buddha there are lots of different temples to wander around. And the toilets are clean! From here we drove to Marble Palace. This seemed to be Peter's fave but we preferred the other two. Same drill. We didn't need long here, we actually walked across the canal bridge and brought an icecream which was very refreshing as it was starting to get hot. The other guest got a taxi from here as he wanted to go to Grand Palace. Peter offered to drop us off somewhere else but we chose to go back to hotel. It was a great way to get a bit of culture and so much easier than trying to get to those places ourselves. Only disappointment was I didn't research it properly and assumed it went to Grand Palace. Oh well, next time. We paid about $55AUD each, pricey in comparison to doing it yourself but well worth it for us. Was good to do it in the morning before things got too busy / hot and we then had the afternoon to relax by the hotel pool.

Great tour until the end
Dec 2018 • Couples
I would have easily given this tour (and our guide, Jenny) five stars if it weren't for the inconvenient and unnecessary stop at the "Gem Gallery" at the end... the timing of this tour was great- we hate standing around and this tour moved along nicely. Jenny was knowledgeable and funny. My boyfriend and I were very content when we thought the tour was coming to an end but, sure enough, they dropped us at a massive gem warehouse where you have to watch a tacky seven minute video and then get hounded by the employees to buy something. I'm sure they make commission off of doing this so I get it but it's still very unfortunate and I wouldn't recommend to friends/family.

Long wait times and feels a bit rushed. Gem factory is horrible
Pros:
- duration is good as you are done within a few hours and can choose between morning and afternoon
- includes pickup and drop off from hotel although will have to share with others

Cons:
- tour guide provided just the bare minimum information
- if you simply take uber to each temple and read a brief history on your own, the price of the tour compares to be high
- very little time was actually spent at the temples and mostly time spent stuck in traffic
- and the worst part of all, the end of the tour at the gem factory. We were not told about this when I booked on the phone and only found out in the morning. The factory is obviously a tourist trap with the tour company getting kickbacks. We had to wait 1 hr at the factory for our transportation back to hotel. Complete waste of time.

Dear Mohsin, Sorry you did not enjoy the tour. We are actually rated the most competitive price for this tour as we run this ourselves. We can not help with the traffic as this is beyond our control. Please note that the gem factory is not a “tourist trap”. This is listed on all literature, on all our partner websites and even on our booking platform. We do not get kickbacks as you wrongly mention. Perhaps more research is needed and as you booked this via phone we could have easily emailed you the itinerary if you wished. Regards, Nick

Amazing tour - just the right length
Nov 2017 • Friends
I did this tour with my Mum. The buddhas were so beautiful. Our guide was amazing telling us about the history of Thailand and the Buddhist beliefs. This tour was the perfect length, not too long. I have been to Bangkok over five times and I found the tour very informative. So this is a great tour for you first visit, or if you have visited Bangkok many times. I took some amazing photos of the buddhas. Definitely instagram worthy.
