Great experience at Mays cooking class! Myself and my friend booked the class online and you were then given the option of what you would like to cook from the menu, all of the dishes on there were yummy Thai dishes! We chose to make spring rolls, papaya salad, yellow curry and chicken with cashew nuts.

Wasn’t quite sure how it would work out being a vegetarian, but me and my friend has separate work stations and I was given veggie alternatives (tofu and soya protein) and the fish sauce was substituted for something vegetarian.

We ate the food once we’d finished cooking and got to take the recipes home!

Would 100% recommend this cooking class, was a great day, May was a lovely instructor and a fantastic cook and the class was great value.

Mae was lovely, welcoming us and telling us about local foods at the market and the hows and whys of the cooking procedures.
The food was so so tasty and was easy to follow her instructions although she was on hand to assist when mistakes were made.
The food portions are big so with 4 courses, make sure you go to the class hungry.
Also, the kitchen is quiet warm but we were offered comfort breaks to the ac’d room if we wanted it.
I loved that you could choose your own dishes from a large menu.
Overall a wonderful day. Thank you Mae.

I chose the afternoon class which, unlike other schools, did include a market tour. We went by tuktuk, spent about 40 minutes looking at all the different veg, fruits, meats, fish as well as frogs and eels. As we shopped for some ingredients the teacher explained many interesting things. She is very friendly and well organised. I can highly recommend her class.
Back in the classroom she prepared the red chilli paste, the base of some dishes, and then it was my turn; we made four dishes in all taking turns so I could watch and learn and adjust for spice, sweet or sour. We finished all the cooking then I ate what I had made which was delicious and just the right heat for me so very satisfying. To have made authentic tasting dishes from fresh ingredients for myself was really gratifying. I was even able to take my leftovers with me which my husband enjoyed later.
I travelled by Grab both ways. The entrance in the back alley was not so easy to find so I called once I’d arrived on the main street. The entrance is not attractive but don’t be put off as inside, on 2nd floor, the kitchen was very clean and organised, with fans to keep cool. On 3rd floor I was shown to an air-conditioned waiting room where I also ate my meal, and water was served before and after class. I was given recipes and a certificate.

Being the only visitor that day I was treated so well. Although I was a little disappointed I couldn’t share this great experience with other holiday makers, May (my tour guide) was able to make the experience both fun and educational, from start to finish.

I would highly recommend this and I look forward to taking what I have learnt to my dinner parties back home

Thanks again May 🙏

Attended the cooking class with my Mom, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the session.

We went to the local market and Mae explained to us on various ingredients used in Thai cooking.

She was also accomodating to my mum’s sensitivity to peanut , and provided a substitute ingredient. The cooking steps were explained well and she helped to suggest alternatives of ingredients for those not easily available in our home country.

Would recommend this cooking class!

This was such a refreshing activity to do whilst in the heart of Bangkok. From the market visit and Tuk Tuk ride through to preparing the dishes and then eating them was just so wonderful. The food was really tasty and the help from Mae was really insightful and professional. Excellent class.

My husband and I took this amazing cooking class and loved it. We started by going to the market to buy the ingredients. We were really lucky because that day we were only 3 people taking the class so everything felt very personal. We cooked four different dishes. Mae explained the procedure and recipes in a very easy way and she was there by your side in case you needed assistance. Int the end, we got to sit down in a nice room with AC and enjoyed our meals, by far it was the most delicious Pad Thai I ate in Thailand.
Highlights: we made our own coconut milk and coconut cream. We both felt like we learned a lot. Mae gives you all the recipes to take home on paper. I really recommend this place!

Our instructor Mae was very knowldgable and spoke excellent English, and her team were polite, efficient and helpful. Our class was small (four participants) and we had our own cooking stations. The tuk tuk ride to the market was fun and the tour itself very interesting and offered fantasic insights into Thai cuisine. Cannot recommend enough!

They were only the two of us at this cooking class. The Mark And visit was very interesting and informative. The cooking class was well organized with a modern, commercial kitchen. Some of the items had been prepared in advance in order to fit in all the cooking activities. We would do this again.

we had a super time with Mae, we went shopping to the market and learnt so much about local food and the local culture in terms of veg and fish and meat.
The cooking class was great lots of fun. We managed to make four dishes...thanks to Mae we learnt new recipes and look forward to trying at home again.
The real attraction is Mae and Ja er assistant and shopping with her and then cooking later. Is great.
