Great Tour for Pictures
Feb 2020 • Couples
My wife Brenda and I took the Grand Palace and Temple tour through Goway/Asia World Tours. We were in Bangkok for our 25th anniversary. Our tour guide AIR was spoke excellent English and was very personable, helpful, and knowledgeable. We really liked her. This is a great tour for pictures.

Very good summary of temple and palace highlights
Mar 2020
This tour is great for the traveler that has limited time in Bangkok just as it is advertised. Enjoyed our seasoned guide very much, English was excellent. I asked if we could include a quick stop to experience the flower market and she and the driver quickly arranged the additional stop which was well worth it. You could spend far more time at these stops if you want to read all the information and understand all the history but if you are looking to see the Buddha’s and get a little history in just 3.5 hours this is your trip. Enjoy

Dear _gerber What a wonderful review and thanks for sharing your Asian Trails experience with us. The temples are taking up a prominent place in the capital, and adding the magnificence of the Grand Palace to this excursion, really captures the must-see essence of Bangkok. Guides are our ambassadors in the field, out in the open and in the realms of monuments and sites. We certainly will pass this message on to our guide to show her how much you've enjoyed her presence and travel advice Once again, such reviews are wonderful starts of our morning, and we do look forward welcoming you again to Amazing Thailand in not too long a future. With kind regards Asian Trails Thailand

Well intentioned
Dec 2019 • Couples
We found the tour guide to be well intentioned but with low English speaking ability. While we enjoyed the tour and the locations; it was exhausting trying to pay attention to the tour guide due to her poor ability with English.

Day out
Me and my sister chose to do this trip whilst we were here in Bangkok and first of all we want to say how fantastic our tour guide Nina was. Her English was great and she was so much fun and so friendly. She was great to talk to and knew so much about all three temples that We visited and provided so much information. She was also a great photographer! Not just the ones that take one photo then ‘done’ - she was snapping away and getting the angles right! She was very careful of us and the crowds and always made sure we knew where she was.

She even recommended another trip for us in the evening which she booked for us and sorted all the travel arrangements and made sure we were safe. Couldn’t thank Nina enough she was absolutely fantastic.

Beautiful locations, average guide
Apr 2019 • Solo
The places we've seen are probably a must for Bangkok. The guide provided a sort of pre-recorded, but complete information for every place. But she often gave no or unreliable responses to questions. For example, when asked what original form of religions or beliefs existed in Thailand since before Hindu and Buddhism, she said none. Rather hard to believe.

Tour was great, Tour guided a con woman!
The tour it’s self was really good, the grand palace and temples was just so beautiful to see, I would highly recommend.

However I do feel I need to mention about our tour guide Rose so that no one else makes the mistake that we did.

We were picked up for our tour which like I said was great and Rose came across as a lovely woman that you could trust. After the tour when back at the hotel Rose then asked if we wanted to do the floating market tour the next day she would give us it much cheaper than what online would of been. So told us she would take us to the floating market and also this “fly fly” thing after it and told us the price and that was including the speed boat. It came to 4000baht I’m thinking that’s good even though I couldn’t compare it to any other prices as I hadn’t looked but I’m trusting her she’s doing it cheap.

Next day she turns up in her own car saying the driver wasn’t well. So really she’s now getting to keep all this money to herself. We gets to the floating market and we still had to pay 600baht to get on an actual boat, of course we weren’t going to go all the way there and not get on a boat so we paid it. The floating market was the biggest rip off, Rose told us bangkok is much cheaper than Phuket which was where we were going to next, so we are thinking ok we will buy our souvenirs here. Turns out the things we bought like a wooden elephant at 400baht I could of got for 100baht in Phuket. My list could go on with that.

After the floating market we had lunch which we also paid for hers. Over lunch she asks how much we bought our house for, so clearly trying to see how much money we had. Back in her car she takes us to a “Zoo” I had already told her we were going to a elephant sanctuary in Phuket yet she thinks to take me to see elephants that have chains around their ankles and being made to carry people on their backs!! Also pushing us over to see the drugged up tiger, trying to sell us to get pictures with it. I had to hold back my tears as I don’t agree with that sort of stuff at all so me and my husband walked out. Next it was massages she’s trying to sell, I’m getting bored of it all now. We finally get to the place we are doing this “ fly fly” thing and it’s A very over crowded market and she tells us we are here for 2 hours till what ever it is we are there to see starts so to have a walk around the stalls. We had enough by this point and told her to take us home. She was saying how the boat was already paid for and I mentioned how I thought the boat at the floating market was already paid for and she just laughed and said no. She was trying to get us to stay but we demanded we went home. In the car again she’s asking a bit to much personal questions, she assumed my husband had his own business, which she then properly realised we weren’t as “rich” as she must of first thought. Also in the car home the police were doing random stops and she said if the police ask say I am your friend!!

If it wasn’t for the fact we didn’t know where we were and knowing we were at least an hours drive away from Bangkok would would of just walked away from her after the floating market.

So please if you do this tour which as I said I do recommend, just please don’t buy in to the tour guides sales pitches to do anymore tours!

Picture of rose attached. If that even is her real name.
