About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- W9507WPmartino0 contributionsEasy riding on the outskirts of Chiang Mai!It was lovely relaxing family day out on very comfortable bikes. Our guide, was top class, he showed us so many different things in the area and brought us to a nice local place to eat. The only minus was the location of start point, you either needed a car or take a cab to get there, same to get back to your accommodation. But it was worth the effort!Written 22 January 2024
- A3607SHsimonc0 contributionsYeah it was nice and chill. Get away from the city for a few hours via bike and see temples.Very low stress easily going bike ride through rural southern area! Knowledge guide ! Choose between mountain bike and cruiser bike. Go for a morning ride to have better weatherWritten 19 December 2022
- Roshanak B0 contributionsA highly recommended tour of Chiang MaiKhun Ting Tong was an amazing guide and I really enjoyed the tour. I saw a lot of Chiang Mai I couldn’t have experienced on my own. Met some locals and very much enjoyed the sights.Written 16 October 2022
- salkalaf0 contributionsBest bike tour!Wee was an amazing tour guide! We loved exploring the different landscapes of Chiang Mai! We stopped at various farms and learned about their agriculture. Lunch was a hole in the wall spot with incredible koh soi. We rode about 18 miles but everything was mostly flat- not a difficult ride.Written 12 June 2022
- Daniel H0 contributionsMy favorite tour in Thailand! My buddy and I had an afternoon private tour with Wee, which exceeded both of our expectations. Out of all the activities I did in Bangkok, Chiangmai, and Phuket, this was probably my favorite experience. Although every stop of the normal tour wasn't available because of Covid, it was a pleasure biking through the scenic countryside of Thailand. It was a very culturally immersive experience that authentically felt you were part of the local community where tourists would not normally go. Wee was very friendly and enthusiastic even though he had just finished giving a tour right before ours. The bike ride itself was about 17 miles total and I wouldn't say it was difficult at all. I recommend bringing sun protection. A large bottle of water is provided and there are stops where you get to try a unique snack and have a meal of Khao Soi. A+++Written 19 December 2021
- Denny1sg0 contributionsVery fun and unique! This Biking tour is a very different and fun way to see Chiang Mai. You get to see the true colors of the city, learn about the lives of the people, and see some cool things off the beaten path. Koi was our guide and she was very good!Written 8 March 2020
- ElianneRook0 contributionsSupernice biking tour!It was great. We biked outside of Chiang Mai with Koy. She is a very nice and funny guide and knows a lot of nice stories and information!Written 25 February 2020
- MaryJaney12345678990 contributionsAmazing biking with BenzWe were biking yesterday with Benz. We were the only two so it was kind of a private tour! Benz was amazing! She showed us all the beautiful places and she could tell us a lot about the nature! We would definitely recommend this tour!Written 10 February 2020
- DieterV1410 contributionsLovely afternoonLovely bike tour with guide Benz! Saw a lot of local Chiang Mai: market, lepra colony, bakery, market, ruïnes,... Guide was enthousiastic, knew a lot and was very keen to know us as well! TopWritten 3 February 2020
- Rena M0 contributionsGREAT half day bike tour!My husband and I are out of shape but young at heart in our early 60's. This reasonably priced tour was great for us. We were lucky enough to have the lovely Koi all to ourselves, and she was a great and informative guide. We saw many things that we would NEVER have seen in a million years had we not done this ride. A cemetery with crematoria, real farmers living super primitive lives- not staged for tourists... and giant catfish to name a few. There were a few scary moments as we drove on main streets and even a highway (for 2 minutes) but Koi was very good at keeping us safe. Having avoided riding a motorcycle for the last 2 weeks I felt a little silly at how reckless we were in those few minutes, but it really was fine. We found that the Thai drivers, at least in this part of the country, were very cautious. Lunch was very authentic- a local place, no other tourists...the nature all around us was beautiful and Koi knew so much about the flora and the fauna and the countryside in general. This was one of our best days in Thailand. The bikes were good, water was provided, and the owner helped us adjust our helmets etc. And yes...a cool surprise awaited us upon our return. HIGHLY recommended...Written 26 January 2020

Our guide Witt spoke English very well and knew a lot about the area and Buddhism. With a great Thai smile he showed us around.Written 21 January 2020
- S56mPaige0 contributionsDelightful treats in a beautiful countrysideOur guide Wii was engaging from the first hello, greeting us as our taxi pulled up, making sure each aspect of our bikes was just right. One delightful experience after another, and wonderful stories of the culture, how this is reflected in the daily lives of Thai families. We loved spending the day with Wii!Written 11 January 2020
- jordantZ5454YU0 contributionsFull Day Chiang Mai Paradise Bike TourOur trip was excellent! Such a great way to experience the Thai culture. Our tour guide, Wit, was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining things along the way and spoke fluent English. Wit did a great job at getting us to try authentic Thai cuisine. He also went out of his way to provide opportunities for us to interact with the local Thai people. The excursion provided a great and unique opportunity to experience the outskirts of Chiang Mai would recommend again. 🇨🇦Written 30 December 2019

Took tour with 5 friends and had Dio for day of 30 miles of biking. Dio was great and showed us so many cultural things in the countryside outside of Chiang Mai. You would never be able to experience this “real life” part of Chiang Mai in any other way. Dio let us stop as often as we wanted and even got us to try some new foods. The ride is flat and easy, but it is a full day, so just know you’ll be tired at end. Loved this tour and would definitely do it again and recommend! Dio...he deserves a GREAT Christmas bonus! 😜

Dear Japlowman,
Thank you for choosing the full day ride with us and this nice review about the tour and guide Deaw.
We are always surprised that some companies can organise a food tour by bike , because that is in any of our tours already and should be in other tours as well instead of making it a different tour.
It would be strange for us to stop at a market and not let our guests try some delicious snacks and new foods like Deaw did with your group.
We hope to see you again on one of our other tours in Thailand
Warm regards,
Fokke van Egmond

I was fortunate my friend was in Cnaing Mai and it was his idea of doing MTB. we booked with Daily guided Mountain Biking organizer. though it was chilly winter we Spend a great day mountain biking in Northern Thailand's premiere National Parks.
the organizer pick us up at a reasonable hour and head for the trails and mountain tops for a great day of mountain biking . Transportation to and from the riding areas is provided by Chiang Mai Mountain Biking. You enjoy maximum time in the beautiful nature of northern Thailand.
For Mountain biking tours Chiang Mai is an ideal base, surrounded by mountains and national parks.

Dear reviewer,
Please be so kind to remove this review and post it to the correct company.
As much as we love reviews , we like to earn them the honest way.
We don't operate mountain biking tours, only recreational cycling tours on flat roads.
I also requested Tripadvisor to remove this review,.
Regards,
Fokke van Egmond

My wife and I had a fantastic day touring the outskirts of Chiang Mai. Our tour leader Mr Ting Tong safely led us and another couple past rice paddies, through small villages, markets and temples, with many small stops along the way. You won’t get to see this type of thing unless you are travelling on a bike and taking your time, a truely memorable experience.

What can we say! We had the honour to do the cycling tour of a whole day with our guide Wit. Really friendly guide who told us a lot about Chiang Mai and what we witnessed all around us. We have learned a lot about the Thai culture and customs, even knowing that we are ‘regulars’ in Thailand. His English is perfect and he is a real gentleman! Keep him in your team!
From the bustling city to the green outskirts, it was one of the best activities we have done so far! The tempo of cycling is perfect and a lot can be seen and learned about this beautifull country and it’s people!
Keep up the good work!
(Couple of pictures only, go see for yourself!)

A must do activity for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in Chiang Mai culture. We visited a couple of local families, businesses and enjoyed a wonderful scenic tour of the countryside. Wit was a fantastic guide, sharing insight and hidden gems along the way. 11/10 would do again.

The number of five star reviews on this activity don't lie! We had a great day with our guide, Tong. The whole day is about 45km, so quite some distance, but the whole route is pretty flat, so you don't have to be super fit to enjoy yourself.
The guides speak great English, and are happy to answer all of your questions, even the ones not related to the cycle tour (thanks Tong for getting us up to speed on saying hello and thank you in the correct way!). Tong was full of useful, interesting, and funny knowledge, and happily chatted away with us the whole day.
Judging by the other reviews, the guides pick and choose activities and stops along the way, depending on the season and route. We saw a great deal of the countryside south of the city, which was very beautiful. We also: visited a local ladies co-op and ate delicious rice snacks, stopped off at a locals coffee shop, visited an incredible wood carving village (baan tawai - a hidden gem), visited the local school, and had the most (the most) *incredible* lunch in a roadside shack of steamed pork, rice, and vegetable broth.
Basically, you see a loooot of stuff, with knowledgeable, friendly guides who know the area inside out.
As others noted you do hit some busy roads once or twice, but I never felt unsafe. You get safety gear, and the bikes are very well maintained.
One last important note: BRING SUNCREAM. You will be riding for about 7 hours in a lot of direct sunlight. You will end up resembling the delicious steamed pork I ate if you don't cover up.
Highly recommended.

Would this type of cycling be suitable for children aged 10 and 6? 6 year old has training wheels or could she go on back of bike?
Written 25 April 2019
I would put her on the back of the bike. Its pretty hard cycling and sometimes a lot of traffic.
