- AnneCatherine880 contributionsUne belle journéeWe had a great day with Noney. The bikes were good quality and the tour very enjoyable. Lunch was excellent. Finally, we really enjoyed the waterfall to cool off!Written 20 March 2025
- 478patricet0 contributionsFantastic Cycling and Sticky Waterfall Activity! This activity was very fun and interesting. Our guide, Nonny, was wonderful, so kind and informative. We learnt a great deal about the agricultural practices and the different plants as well as Thai traditions and culture. The bike ride was a work out but was adapted to participants. The visit of the Temple was very enlightening as well. Lunch was delicious! Stinky falls was a fun experience. Thank you, Nonny, for making this activity so enjoyable!Written 12 March 2025
- V5102SBlouises0 contributionsOff The Beaten Track, Authentic & Very SpecialWe had a fantastic 3 day trek with just the two of us and our guide Sap, who was great fun and very knowledgeable. Sap taught us lots about the various trees, plants and the local culture - I would like to say wildlife too, but there sadly wasn’t a lot to be seen, apparently due to over hunting. It is certailnly off the beaten track and we only saw a few locals on the whole trek. The countryside, the views and especially the sunsets were stunning. The trekking was quite strenuous at times on tiny trails through the forests, but Sap kept a manageable pace with plenty of time to stop and enjoy the amazing views. The food (also cooked by Sap) was excellent and the homestays were basic but lovely, with beautiful views and sunsets. In the evening we chatted around the fire and Sap cooked sticky rice in bamboo. The whole experience felt very authentic and special, and we would not hesitate to recommend the trip.Written 6 March 2025
- GMhello0 contributions3 day trek, recommend!!Our highlight in northern Thailand! We spent 3 fantastic days trekking with our group and guide Sap (and guide in training Mr Deng) who led us through amazingly beautiful varied sceneries and views and taught us about the nature, history and people of the area. We ate delicious home-cooked meals and stayed in comfortable homestays waking up to breathtaking sunrises. The trek was a moderate difficulty, definitely do-able if you're in good physical condition, you don't need to be extremely fit. Much recommended and worth the money!Written 28 February 2025

- emmrose1345980 contributionsThe Best Trek in Northern Thailand!!!We had the most wonderful time! Our guide, Pratan, made the trip, and we learnt so much along the way about the landscape and local farming. The homestays had gorgeous views over the mountains, and the food cooked for us was divine. there were also no other tourists around, so it felt very authentic and special. A very relaxing few days in the mountains - thank you!!Written 18 November 2024
- 829alice0 contributionsFantastic 5 day tripHad a fantastic 5 days with Active Thailand. 3 day jungle trek - our guide Tan was brilliant. Home stay accommodation was basic but comfortable and food was very tasty. You do need to be fairly fit, and ready to sweat a lot! We then did a half day cycle and visit to the sticky waterfall with guide Three - also excellent. Final day was white water rafting, which was fun. Two nights at the Cocotier Resort, which was lovely. Active Thailand organised everything and made sure we were well taken care of. Very happy with our trip and would highly recommend using Active Thailand.Written 18 October 2024
- H8918RFjoannew0 contributionsFantastic!!Absolutely fantastic day and I highly recommend G-ing as a guide - so knowledgeable and so lovely. We loved the cycling and kayaking.Written 21 August 2024
- Tinwyn0 contributionsActive and RelaxingHad a fantastic time hiking with Tan. He shared his knowledge of the area, peoples, plants and animals. We saw mountains, jungles, farms and sunsets. It was very peaceful. All 3 days seemed just right, with the longest distance on day 2 and delicious food throughout. If you are looking for a unique hike, requiring some fitness, that takes you on a little trail through the mountains this is it. I would recommend wearing long pants (not shorts) and regular running shoes with good grip - don’t bring a lot, just rinse your clothes at night. Tan will make you a hiking pole from a bamboo tree. Super wonderful!Written 15 February 2024
- denizs1730 contributionsWonderful active way of learning about culture and natureWonderful trip. Out guide spoke good english and gave a lot of info on culture and nature. The bikes were good and the lunch was gooodWritten 16 January 2024
- melodyf6530 contributionsexcellentGreat experience. The Guide explained us everything very well and showed uns interesting things about the thai nature and culture. The lunch was excellent in the nice Resort.Written 26 August 2023
- ElenaW2690 contributionsImmerse yourself in natureWe chose this trip as we wanted a more strenuous hiking experience in order to get off the beaten track (as much as is realistically possible) and see lots of jungle, which we did :) we barely saw any other tourists or people during the trip, we stayed in a beautiful homestay on the first night and in a village on the second. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about all the plants and trees and was happy to answer any questions we had, he was also a great cook. Highlights for us were our picnic fried rice and the waterfall. The only downside was the that the hiking on the last day was just along a road/mudtrack, it would be great if we could have used hiking paths as we did on the first and second days. Be aware that the 'staying with the hill tribe' part included minimal interaction, they just own the accommodation. Overall a great experience!Written 20 August 2023
- mirandastoccoaus0 contributionsA Thailand trip highlight and a must-do for anyone wanting to get off the beaten track. My partner and I absolutely loved this 3 day trek with the incredible Mr Tan (our guide). The trek takes you through various stunning environments including jungle, farmland, woodland, waterfalls and forest. We found the walking to be the perfect level of difficulty whilst still being able to soak up the scenery and enjoy yourself. Mr Tan’s knowledge of the area, the plants, animals and the local tribes that inhabit each area is nothing short of remarkable! We learned so much from him and he is a lovely man with an epic sense of humour! The home stays are authentic and offer the most incredible sunrise and sunset views over mountains. Not one other tourist or group was spotted throughout the trip, which makes it even more authentic and special. This trip was definitely the highlight of our 16 day stay in Thailand. Thank you Mr Tan- we hope to see you again next time! From Miranda and Jimmy.Written 12 February 2023

- Trek5205020 contributionsNice hiking day at a remote hillVery nice trip with guide Khun Sap. We had nice hike around and Khun Sap explained the different plants and we tried various leaves.
