- Q3796YAscottd0 contributionsOnce In A Lifetime ExperienceThis week my wife and I went on the Half Day Long Neck Hill Tribe and Hmong Hill Tribe tour by private car. We were fortunate enough to have Mr Gobi as our tour guide for the 3rd time (upon our request). I have to say this was one of the best tours we have ever been on and was made even better by having Mr Gobi as our guide. We would never have been able to experience what we did, on our own, without attending this tour. Mr Gobi showed us all of the crops that the Hmong grew then took us into one of the Hmong villagers houses which was a very special experience. Follow that we headed to the Karon Long neck tribe village which again was a very special experience. We found Mr Gobi to be easy going and friendly with a great sense of humour which kept us entertained. He felt more like a friend than a tour guide by the end. We’d also like to give our driver, Mr Boo a shout out as he was an extremely careful driver who managed to navigate the windy roads to our destinations and return us safely back to our hotel. We highly recommend this tour!Written 17 January 2025
- Q3796YAscottd0 contributionsAmazing TourThis week my wife and I went on the Half Day Doi Sutherland and Palau Temple tour by private car. We were fortunate enough to have Mr Gobi as our tour guide for the second time (upon our request). I have to say this was one of the best tours we have ever been on and was made even better by having Mr Gobi as our guide. The temples we were taken to were amazing and Mr Gobi was a wealth of knowledge on the history of not only the temples but the countries past. We found Mr Gobi to be easy going and friendly with a great sense of humour which kept us entertained. He felt more like a friend than a tour guide by the end. We enjoyed his knowledge and company so much that we requested he take us on the next tour we had booked. We’d also like to give our driver, Mr Boo a shout out as he was an extremely careful driver who managed to navigate the windy roads to our destinations. We highly recommend this tour!Written 17 January 2025

- J5159JNjoannes0 contributionsBrilliant Nui Tour GuideNui was an amazing tour guide today and made our Private Tour a memorable day that we will always remember! His English was excellent, his professionalism outstanding and his knowledge was just superb! I took so many photos so that I could remember everything he shared with us! Nui made us feel comfortable and safe and looked after us in every way possible! He even took on the role of photographer for the day and we felt by the end of our 9 hour trip that we knew him personally! He even looked after us brilliantly on the slopes of Sticky Waterfall and laughed when I accidentally got him soaking wet! Totally recommend using APGood at Travel to do the one day Doi Suthep Temple, Palad Temple & Sticky waterfall trip! Thank you Nui for a great experience today! Joanne and AlanWritten 10 January 2025
- V2276BVadamm0 contributionsBest tour of Chiang Rai + Golden TriangleGobi was a fantastic tour guide!!! He really catered to the needs of our family. An excellent tour of the Northern region of Thailand with the highlights being the Golden Triangle, the white temple, and the opium museum. He was extremely helpful and caring. The restaurant he brought us to was absolutely wonderful! The best Tom Yum soup in Thailand. The drive was long although still enjoyable. He was insanely knowledgeable about Chiang Rai. Would recommend this tour to anyone!!!! Extra special thanks to Gobi!!!! 🇹🇭❤️Written 7 January 2025

Nui was fantastic - showing us the secret spots with the best cuisine! We tried everything from noodle dishes to Thai cupcakes to pork meat stew. The flavors blew our minds and watching the food being prepared was an added benefit. I truly feel like we can’t ever repeat this wonderful experience!Written 15 December 2024
- jnf90 contributionsWonderful guideThis is a review for Mr Nui, who was our guide for a half day tea plantation hour and one day Doi Inthanon plus trekking. Mr Nui is a wonderful guide. He is knowledgeable about the tour he is guiding. He would give a good background of the places we were to visit in advance which served as a good preparation to enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes. He is also able to point out to the flora and fauna as we went along the tours which added more value to just the sights. He even could make the sounds of birds to attract them so we can see better. Mr Nui takes care of us very well. He is careful to note our likes and dislikes and orders meals that we enjoy. He even buys different snacks so we can enjoy a variety of local products. He would recommend places to shop or eat based on our preferences. Most importantly, Mr Nui is very patient. Even when we took a longer time to do the trekking, he never hurried us but ensured we were safe throughout. He even sent us to our dinner place as we were running late. Thank you, Mr Nui.Written 12 December 2024
- Amy T0 contributionsExcellent Private Tour through Chiang MaiMy parents & I had a fabulous private tour with Noom through Chiang Mai. Recommended by our hotel concierge, the tour was informative and local. Noom spoke excellent English and was able to tailor the tour to what we wanted to see. We loved that we took 3 different modes of transportation within Chiang Mai! Would highly recommend!Written 26 November 2024
- gracesJ3340LD0 contributionsEqual Parts Fun and Informative! Our family of five had a wonderful afternoon/evening touring Wat Umong, Wat Pha Lat, and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. Our guide, Gobi, was exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with all of our questions. He provided us with so much useful information not only about the temples, but also Thai history and culture — and all with a great sense of humor. Both he and our driver were very thoughtful and polite every step of the way. When it was time to watch the evening prayer chant at Doi Suthep, Gobi even saw to it that one member of our group who needed it had access to a chair rather than sitting on the ground. He even left us with restaurant recommendations! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone wishing to learn more about Buddhism and the area’s rich history. And definitely ask for Gobi if you can! You won’t be disappointed.Written 25 November 2024
- Niaz M0 contributionsExceptional ExperienceBooked the trip through our hotel. The tour company was very professional. The guide Pe met us at the hotel and helped us make the payment. Pe and the driver Nan (who was also a guide previously) were exceptional. We toured the national park, saw the waterfalls, visited the Hmong market and Karen village where we had coffee. We also had great Thai lunch at a local restaurant. Pe asked us about our dietary restrictions and arranged for food that meet our needs. I would recommend this company and Pe anytime. She has a lot of experience with Senior American tourists and it shows. All in all a very lovely experienceWritten 20 November 2024

The tour took us on a relaxing and peaceful trip along the Mae Ping river. The boat stopped at a farmers house where we got a cold herbal tea and some lovely ice cream. Our trip continued up the mountains to Doi Suthep temple. From where we had amazing views of Chiang Mai down below in the valley. Our guide, Gobi gave us lots of information about the temple, the buddha statues and general background. Gobi is very knowledgeable and as we were returning visitors he asked us what we remembered from previous visits. He could fill in a lot of blanks.
Gobi is a bundle of energy and knowledge. He seems to have unlimited energy to explain, ask questions, tell stories, make jokes… we really had a great time.
The driver mr. Boo was careful and very attentive: drinking water, cold towels, opening and closing doors. A good driver too.
Both Gobi and Boo get along very well too.

How far from the road are the famous waterfalls? Is it an easy hike?
