Full-day Hoa Lu and Tam Coc tour with sampan boat trip and bicycle ride
From US$50.00
Overview
Escape the fast-pace of life in Hanoi without the hassle of hiring a motorbike on this day trip heading south through the Vietnamese countryside. A digest of thousands of years of Vietnamese history and tradition, this tour stops at Hoa Lu Temple (Vietnam's 10th and 11th century capital) and a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring limestone cliffs pagodas, paddy-fields and small villages.
What to Expect
8:00 - 8:30 am: Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. If guests stay outside of Hanoi Old Quarter, the meet-up point is Hanoi Opera House.
In the morning: Visit Hoa Lu temple and learn about Vietnamese history.
12:00 pm: Have a buffet lunch with Vietnamese food and Ninh Binh traditional goat meat. The meal is provided without drinks. Drinks are ordered from and paid directly to the restaurant as in the menu. Have a short break before the trip continues.
In the afternoon: Enjoy a sampan boat trip of 1-2 hours along Ngo Dong river, a famous icon of Tam Coc and Vietnam's natural beauty to travelers from all over the world. Tam Coc also belongs to Trang An complex, a UNESCO world heritage site. Then take a bicycle ride to explore the rice fields watching farmers working.
4:00 pm: Return to the bus to go back to Hanoi.
6:00 - 6:30 pm: Drop off at your hotel in the Old Quarter. The trip ends.
• All entrance fees, lunch, and other fees for the above-mentioned activities are handled by the tour guide.
• There is one short break for each way of driving between Hanoi and Ninh Binh.

The pick up from the hotel was easy and on time. The bus was probably the best quality we had while in Vietnam. Our guide, ‘Tom Cruise’, was chatty and entertaining. He provided us with relevant information on our way there and prepared us well...More

I’ve been traveling for two decades at this point, and I’m not being dramatic when I say this company, and put guide Tam, are the worst I’ve ever experienced. To start with, they were late picking everyone up due at least in part to the...More

I think you can arrive in Tam Coc and contract a boat for the trip up the river. There are a lot of rowers at the dock. I don’t know how many are hired just for groups arriving from Hanoi but there should be enough for you... More
