Learn about Vietnamese culture through its food on this evening food tour of Hanoi. You’ll take a walking tour of the Old Quarter, where you’ll not only get to try local dishes but also learn how they are made. This is an ideal tour for foodies, or travelers who just want to know more about the food they can enjoy in Vietnam.
What to Expect
05:30Pm: Pick you up from hotel to our meeting point.
Professional English speaking Tour guide of Hanoi Local Food Tours will meet you the meeting point, then we move to the Hanoi Old Quarter Area to start the journey discovering the local food world and local life.
Then we will walk through streets in Hanoi Old Quarter while listening to our professional English-speaking tour guide introducing the culture and the daily life in the evening of the local there.
Have the first stop to enjoy “Nem Rán” (Spring Roll).  This delicious dish was voted as one of Top Ten greatest street foods in Hanoi for tourist to enjoy. After that, we will head straight to the street which is famous for “Xoi” (steamed sticky rice). Coming here you not only have a chance to enjoy wonderful local foods but also get the instruction from our tour guide about the ingredients and process to make this tasty local dish.
Continue to explore the street culinary world in Hanoi by walking to Ma May Street to visit a traditional Vietnamese house-“Heritage House”. Here you will see the typical architecture and design of the Vietnamese house during the 1900s.  And enjoy “Nom Bo Kho” (dry beef salad), a very tasty and favorite food of the Hanoian.
Visit Bach Ma Temple to learn about the culture and history of the Vietnamese, and then go to Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street to learn how traditional medicine was made and used there. Enjoy the stuffed pancake “Pho Cuon”. This is one of Top Ten local foods of Hanoi which any tourist should try once when visiting this city.  After that, we will enjoy another different taste of the Hanoian – Sweet gruel “Che”.
Have a walking discovery Hanoi life by night and enjoy rice noodle soup “Phở”– the most famous food of the Vietnamese before we see visit St. Joseph's Cathedral “Nhà Thờ Lớn” to see the architectural style of this place which is described as resembling Notre Dame de Paris.
The last taste of Hanoi local food we would like to offer you is a famous Vietnamese coffee “egg coffee”

Hanoi Food Tour with Mia

Mia was a great tour guide. She not only had us taste a variety of local cuisine but told us the origins of the dishes. Mia also shared the history of the neighbourhood, pointing out significant landmarks. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent with Mia.

Hi, it was tour om foot with a female guide. I do not know the price because it was a part of our package deal with our travel agent. It was a private tour

You can give your specific food wishes to you guide. For example I do not eat seafood so Our guide Giang did not order any seafood dishes to taste.
