OK, this was a life changing tour! My husband and I did a two week+ tour from Saigon to Hanoi. They put together 3 segments, with 3 fantastic guides. Much of Vietnam is flat (though there are hills available if you want them), so quite doable, even in the oppressive summer heat. Since my husband had knee surgery a few months prior, we decided on e-bikes, and I was so grateful because of the heat. Be aware, e-bikes are new to Vietnam, so they aren't always consistent, but we just rolled with it. Our guides, and their drivers, really made the trip. Our driver in Hoi An even had cold cloths waiting for us between stops which made such a difference! All of our guides were locals to the areas we rode (and took us through hidden gems) and took care of us with coffee stops, excellent local food, and shared their love of their country with us. Each of them went above and beyond (solved a bike break down, got ill for a few days so made great pivots, or quick minor alterations to the tour as needed) The quality of hotels we stayed at were top notch and quite beautiful-we requested to stay at nicer hotels, and it was worth the incremental expense (because Vietnam is quite reasonably priced if you avoid the tourist traps). They included great additional excursions for us. Great tour operator. I will use them again to see other parts of SE Asia for sure, and you should too!

The trip was absolutely amazing! Our family of four (two teenage girls) loved seeing the Mekong in this way, with flat riding through rice fields, fruit plantations, along canals and rivers weaving throughout the delta and perhaps most valuably along back roads and through villages provide a unique insight to life on the delta. The riding itinerary and guidance provided by our expert guide Phuc was outstanding g and the finish on a speed boat to Phnom Penh a great way to end our 3 day 2 night adventure starting in Ho Chi Minh… we highly recommend this company and tour!

We went on the 5 day / 4 night Mekong Delta ride with Vietnam Bikes in April 2024, with the brilliant Loc Ly as our guide. I highly recommend this tour and in particular, with Loc as your guide. Loc had a very detailed knowledge of the area and took us through a brilliant series of routes that almost entirely avoided main roads and instead meandered through the back lanes and took a series of local ferries. He tailored our route length to suit our riding speed and ability each day. We stopped at a number of spots along the way to try local fruit fresh from the orchards or to look through some of the numerous factories in the area to learn about the various products produced from the abundant supply of rice and coconuts. Loc went the extra mile for us at every opportunity – including taking a much-treasured series of photos and videos of us as we cycled, timing our rest breaks at the van for fresh fruit, cold water or iced tea at the ferry stops and daily coffee breaks impeccably. Loc expertly chose each of our lunch spots and ordered a delicious feast at each location (not a westerner in sight). The communications with Vietnam Bike Tours were prompt and easy to deal with. The hotels included in the tour option we selected were beautiful and very comfortable. The van transfers were well organised and our driver was lovely and very professional.

We loved this 2 night 3 day Mekong Delta ride. The scenery was amazing and fascinating. We are two women in our early 60s. I'm glad we got electric bikes as it was so hot - normally I ride a regular bike & do a lot of long distance cycling on a gravel bike so this was a departure for me. Our guide Sarane looked after us very well and was very informative, patient and good company. We liked the homestay best for accommodation. I hadn't realised what a big city Cantho is so was less keen on that although the accomodation was top notch. The ferry rides & the floating market was very enjoyable. A great trip all round.

We had a great time on our bike tour and Loc was the ultimate guide! He went out of his way to make sure we got off the beaten path, and being from that area, he knew an amazing route to show us the beauty and uniqueness of the Mekong Delta. The land and water blend together so interestingly. Highlights: mangroves, water hyacinths, lotus, and bougainvillea; ferry rides and riving crossings, large and small; dozens of little bridges and canals; pagodas and buddhas; durian, jack fruit, bananas, mango, lychee, longan, coconut, papaya, and pomelo; cobra wine and locally made snacks; curious, friendly locals and giggling school children. And who knew that biking through beautiful, quiet lanes and paths would be such a great way to deal with the heat (and our jet lag!)?!

We were a group of 6 friends and booked a 12 days tour starting from Siem Reap, Koh Rong and Phnom Penh. 4 days in the area of Siem Reap, 3 days break in Koh Rong, 2 days in Phnom Penh and the rest cycling from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. This was the third time (in 2015 and 2017) I was using VBT and as in the other trips the service was excellent. I am happy they kept the same quality over the years! Very good guides, friendly, knowledgeable, and good in English. Hotels and restaurants were very carefully chosen. When we had a problem with one hotel in particular the VBT Team and the guides helped us to find a solution . The price of tour for the whole group was competitive compare to others. Thanks in particular to our guides!

Absolutely fantastic tour! We had an individualized tour designed for just my husband and myself. We spent 28 days in Vietnam, all organized by Vietnam Bike Tours. We spent the first week in the SaPa area in the northwest trekking and the remaining three weeks bicycling sections from Hanoi down to the Mekong Delta. The tour was very well planned, excellent routes picked with fabulous scenery and wonderful people. We peddled through mountainous areas, along the coast and through many rural and remote villages. We feel that we have had a good exposure to many different parts of the country. Accommodations were beautiful and comfortable. Our guides were very knowledgeable and attentive. We felt very safe throughout and extremely well taken care of. I would absolutely recommend Vietnam Bike Tours for anyone wanting a unique and informative experience in Vietnam.

Great biking tour. Andy was very informative, kind and flexible. Definitely recommend this tour. Very punctual and great communication. We were a group of 4 and feel that we learn so so much from our tour guide.

We (2 couples) have done the 2 night/3 day bicycletour through the Mekong Delta with Loc. This was one of the best trips we ever did! Loc promised us local food, no other tourists along the way and a real authentic experience. He deliverd a 1000% on all promises. We have eaten great food, seen wonderful sites and met local people. Loc is born in the delta and knows all the backroads and hidden gems. We had so much fun and Loc and the driver have taken very good care of us. We have done a bicycle tour before through Vietnam, but Loc is surely the best number 1 tourguide in Vietnam!

Everyone who loves cycling and like to see the scenery of Vietnam has to book a tour with vietnambiketours. My dad and I booked a 4 day trip , we really enjoined it. We conquered the Hai van pass , cycled along rice fields , through a forest , small villages and more. During our trip we stayed in lovely accommodations and enjoined the local food and the best coffee ever which places were selected by the agency . The trip wouldn’t be so nice without Ly who organised the trip for us and tried everything to find the most suitable places for us. I confirmed her about my plant based healthy diet in every part of the trip she planned that I always find something that I like. Nonetheless if you decide to book a cycling trip with the agency, please ask for Tony . He is the best! Tony was our bike guide during the trip , we joked a lot with him and really enjoyed the time we spent with him.

We did a 3 day 2 night tour through the Mekong Delta. It was amazing!! Our guide Loc did a great job taking us through beautiful back roads where we got a feel for the real Vietnam. Friendly locals welcomed us by yelling hello as we cycled past. He took us to restaurants where we had a fabulous array of dishes we had never seen in restaurants in the US. He also made sure we got our mileage in to burn off the huge meals! Many thanks to Loc for making this our best vacation ever!!

My spouse and I did a private bike trip to the cu chi tunnels with our wonderful guide Danny. Danny provided thorough historical and cultural context during the van ride to our starting point, which was very much appreciated. We were very well set up before we set off and Danny ensured our bikes were sized appropriately. Cycling to the cu chi tunnels allowed us to see a side of Vietnam we would have never found on our own. It was super cool to bike through the countryside, and everyone we passed was super friendly. Danny was an excellent guide at the tunnels, and having cycled there really elevated the experience. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and given that we had come during Tet, this was all above and beyond what could be expected. A highlight of our trip and highly recommended!

What an amazing, authentic experience we had cycling for 9 days from outside HCMC to Angkor Wat. My husband and I are active but not cyclists and loved cycling through the villages along the Mekong and experiencing the difference in the Vietnam and Cambodian cultures. The Guides were very knowledgeable, flexible and supportive and we learnt so much from them. The accommodation and food was great and we loved eating with the locals. From the time I first contacted this company to the end of the tour we have had professional service. Ly, the office manager was awesome and very prompt to deal with. We bought bike pants and gloves before we left home and luckily we bought sleeves at the markets in HCMC the day before the cycle because the UV is really strong. I ended up wearing a t-shirt over my head to cover part of my face and neck so in hindsight we should have been better prepared for the long periods in the sun. We are so glad we did the cycling tour as part of our holiday, it was certainly a highlight and we highly recommend.
