        All should visit
It is one of the most horrific museums I have ever visited. To see firsthand the atrocities of the American War in Viet Nam was something I will NEVER forget. This is a hard hitting Museum not for the feint hearted but all should visit.

        Interesting, informative and upsetting
We stopped here as part of a Jeep Tour of Saigon. Our guide was very informative about the museum, told us some personal stories and then left us to look around on our own. Some of the facts and photos are quite upsetting but does also touch on both sides. Lots of it is also very interesting and if we only learn one thing is that this should never happen again.

        A Nice Historial Place
A great place to visit. Lots of photo from the war time which is informative. Worth a visit and at least spend 2 hours+ to fully read through all information of the history.

        A difficult but necessary visit
A well worth visit with a dip into the horror, which was the American war in Viet Nam. Obviously written from a position of the victorious, so a reasonable amount of one-sided stance. However, the atrocities are well documented and fact based. There is a great deal of Make Peace, not War ideology, which we could do with more if today. Please be aware that there are some very graphic images in the museum.

        A must visit- heart rendind
Oh my, what a place! Heart rendering. Thought provoking. Saddening, sickening. Can people really get worse with what we do with each other? Each room was moving. I couldn't bare to go into the massacre room, having seen the torture and agent orange exhibits. This is a must see for everyone, and a reminder that powerful forces such as the USA should never be allowed to control the world. I think the Vietnamese people have been very kind in their exhibition in gently discussing the issues that other countries put them under for many many years. Sadly, I don't think the world has learned.

Worth Seeing, but It’s Not Comprehensive.
Do not expect a comprehensive review of the wars against France and the USA. It’s about the effects on Vietnamese during these conflicts. Nothing on any behavior from the Vietnamese Cong or North Vietnamese, except they ended up winning. Good exhibits though the points tend to be over-made.

        An interesting and informative museum
This museum provides a good insight into French and USA intervention in Vietnam (mainly USA). As a UK citizen these wars were certainly not covered in the curriculum in the 70s so my understanding and knowledge was very limited. All displays have sections in English and I must acknowledge that at times I was moved to tears. The museum was developed to educate younger generations. Unfortunately with all the conflicts currently in the world, one wonders what we have actually learned. I would certainly recommend a visit as what you see makes you reflect.

        A confronting but necessary experience
Extremely informative and confronting experience. I learned so much about the US/Vietnam war and its lasting impacts on the people of Vietnam and US veterans.

        A surprise at every turn!
This was a good experience. When you go to the lacquer shop. Make sure to go upstairs as well. 4 stops are completed. Unification palace, post office, war museum, and several stores.

An interesting historical sight with mostly anti USA war material presented from Vietnams point of view. This a must see as it is very well set out and has descriptions in english or you can have a head set.,

        Take your tissues!
This was incredibly emotional. Take your time and read the plaque, they are well worth it telling the story of the American/Vietnamese War. Take your tissues! The agent orange and war crimes sections are particularly difficult

There's a reason why this is the City's #2-rated activity on a very long list of "things to do"
A visit to Ho Chi Minh City may not be as balanced and real as it should be if you skip this museum, whether by choice or for lack of time. The museum makes it impossible to overlook the horrendous consequences of war, any war, on everything else. On everything we love, everything that makes life worth living. It accomplishes that mission without denying that wars must also sometimes be fought to fight for the same things: Everything that we love, everything that makes life worth living. The museum is more relevant than ever. In a City that offers visitors more choices for things to do than most other places, after you come here, you will know why this is the #2, on a list of almost 400 options. Make your visit to Ho Chi Minh City real and set aside at least half a day for this unique museum.

        Amazing to visit this museum!
This passage serves as a somber reflection on war's devastating impact on innocent people who continue to endure its consequences even now. May we as a society have recognized that Vietnam remains, as it has always been, a nation of deeply devoted citizens with a remarkable heritage, cultural richness, and promising tomorrow.

        Must see
A must see in Vietnam. This museum reflects on the historic events in the times of a terrible war in Vietnam. It shows the amazing spirit of the Vietnamese people and the awful events that occurred. Good to be educated on this topic we learned a lot.

Shows how bad the war was but they dont hide how ruthless they were on their own people. Basically a civil war waged against its own people with outside influences
