- louisi6730 contributionsUnforgettable Indochina Trip with My Way Travel - Highly Recommended! We booked our trip to the Mekong River in Cambodia and Vietnam through My Way Travel. Everything worked out great! We received friendly and quick responses with travel advice from Kevil. It was an unforgettable trip to Indochina and everything was exactly as described. The 14 day tour of Indochina was wonderful. That’s why I can highly recommend My Way Travel. If we return to Asia, we will book with them again, whether for Japan or TaiwanWritten 30 May 2024
- mariuscR8835LW0 contributionsGreat Jahan Cruise with My Way TravelKevil gave us great advice and helped us through the entire booking process for the Mekong Jahan Cruise. There wasn't much to complain about in terms of price, except for the additional cost of the land tour and processing fees added on top of the low price.Written 27 May 2024
- aprilj8000 contributionsBooked Mekong Cruise with My Way TravelIt was a great experience that we will never forget. The crew on the Heritage Line's Jayavarman cruise and Stephen from My Way Travel were very helpful and dedicated. We would definitely book another trip to Asia with them.Written 24 May 2024
- Zahidah B0 contributionsBest experience in VietnamThis was probably the best highlight of my trip. Went to Mekong River via travel group (Aamin Tour & Travel). The guide was super friendly and insightful, shared various history as well. We were brought to the coconut factory, mekong river, and shopping place for the whole tour from 8am to 5pm. At Mekong River, the locals were all friendly and smiley. We were also invited to have some local fruits there. Amazing experience if you wish to be away from the city.Written 17 December 2023

- Soko370 contributionsOne of biggest on the worldNice experience on motorboat going from My Tho and then from island to island. Great small rowing boat exercise on island. to see it on your own. All organised by travel agency and it is too challenging to find it out on your ownWritten 3 September 2023
- Sunshine313680285450 contributionsAMAWaterways Delivers on Charms of the MekongFrom our arrival in Hanoi to departure in Ho Chi Minh City, we could not have asked for a better experience. The reviews from AMA are great. The personal experience they delivered was beyond my expectations. A caring, helpful staff, at every stop along the way, gave added value to the itinerary, sites and experiences we expected. Helping us climb exposed staircases, 1-1 assistance when needed, having secondary transportation available if needed (which it was by others), and sharing their personal lives. P>S. The food was wonderful.Written 15 May 2023
- 872katharineg0 contributionsAmazing experience on the Mekong with AmaWaterwaysWe did an 8 day cruise with AmaWaterways, Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap and added the land excursion one other end, HCMC, Hanoi, Halong Bay. It was their first time back on the Mekong after COVID and they were still working out some kinks, but the staff was amazing and went above and beyond to take good care of us. The food was a little disappointing but that may have been due to supply-chain issues along with strict government control (Vietnamese and Khmer) of what they could have on board. The cabins and common areas were great, the shore excursions really informative. I was a little nervous about my first trip to Asia but AmaWaterways made a believer of me.Written 2 December 2022

- Neepra D0 contributionsExcellent ExperienceIt was really amazing to be in Vietnam, Lots of changes are happening on the Mekong, especially in Laos. Along the length of the Mekong River and being a little horrified because of its wide river adds to its own memories when exploring tours in Vietnam.Written 1 September 2022
- 36sail0 contributionsLuxury cruise down the Mekong RiverJust got back from a marvelous luxury 7 day cruise from Cambodia to Saigon on the Mekong Princess, through A&K. Can't say enough about the fine attention we got from the crew, our beautiful and spacious Tonlee Suite, the fine food at all meals, and the overall experience.Written 7 March 2020
- JR_Essex0 contributionsLa Marguerite River CruiseWe had an enjoyable cruise up the Mekong on-board the RV La Marguerite, booked through APT/Travelmarvel. The ship is now getting to the end of its service with Travelmarvel and is being replaced later this year, however it remains a lovely vessel and provided a comfortable way to see the Mekong life. Our cabin was on level one, although not large was sufficient for the trip. The bed was very comfortable. Air-conditioning worked well. There was a small balcony sufficient to stand and watch the river life go past, but not big enough to sit, you need a cabin on level 3 for this. Wardrobe space was quite tight but ok and there was plenty of storage under the bed for suitcases. Bathroom again quite small, but the shower worked well. The food on board was excellent, buffet service for breakfast and a la carte service for lunch and dinner. Portion sizes were not huge but this is probably a good thing! The chefs produced a great variety of food with great flavours of local food or a western alternative. Each day there was also a different choice of wines, typically either Australian, Spanish or Chilean, together with local beers. Travelmarvel had provided all guest with refillable water bottles and water dispensers were provided on throughout the ship. Without exception the staff on board were outstanding. Mr Johnny the ‘Hotel Manager’ was so enthusiastic and had us laughing non-stop! Sam in the bar was a lovely guy and the restaurant staff, Keng in particular were great. Mr Cheung the Cruise Director ensured everything ran like clockwork. We travelled during the Corona Virus outbreak and the ship’s crew took hygiene very seriously. Masks were offered to passengers for shore excursions, hand sanitisers were provided throughout the ship and were applied when returning from shore excursions, as well as when entering or leaving the dining room and bar.Written 24 February 2020

OMG what a welcomed informative, relaxing river cruise with Mekong Eye river cruise. The staff were very attentive without being 'in your face'. Chac (Jack) was so enthusiastic, informative, friendly and fun on our 2 night river cruise we would definitely look forward to returning. The Vietnamese food was delicious, and we there was always a story about where it came from and how to eat it! Great to be welcomed by the communities we visited. A must to have on your visit to Vietnam.

Sailing into the Mekong River is already good in itself as the river traverses 6 countries and being in the Vietnam part of the river makes you feel connected to the rest of the river system.
But if you are from Southeast Asia, the tour is not full of spectacles. Instead, expect the usual itinerary for tropical climate rivers.
There is an exciting part and it is when you transfer from the big boat to a smaller boat to an even smaller boat. The picturesque riverside in the internal river systems are also worth the gram.
