Meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel in central Hue, and hop on a provided bike (with helmet) for your 4-hour tour. You'll set out for the nearby village of Thanh Thuy, passing rice fields and stopping at Ngo and Tran temples on the way.
On arrival, relax with a welcome drink at Thanh Toan restaurant, then pedal and walk around the village, visiting the local market and observing daily life. Admire the tiled roof of Thanh Toan Bridge and learn about the methods used by rice farmers during a tour of a museum featuring agricultural tools.
Next up is a rowboat ride on the Nhu Y River with a local villager. After observing how to catch fish by using fishing traps or a casting net, you will have the opportunity to catch fish yourself.
Then, back at the restaurant, learn about incubating and hatching duck eggs. Following a garden visit where you'll get a look at growing myriad vegetables, it's time for a cooking session with the chef. Learn traditional ways of preparing Vietnamese specialties then eat what you have cooked.
You'll return to your Hue hotel by bicycle around midday.
