About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- sesaym20240 contributionsThe company and driver are very professional and clearWe had a great trip exploring Marble Mountain and crossing the Hai Van Pass. Our driver, Anh, was friendly and efficient, and shared interesting historical insights while answering all our questions. Our final stop at the lagoon for a seafood lunch was wonderful, though the experience felt a bit rushed. Overall, this was a great way to travel from Hoi An to Hue while sightseeing, and we would highly recommend Anh as driver!Written 24 March 2025
- kroezec0 contributionsThe best choice from Hoi An to HueThe trip from Hoi An to Hue so great. Oysters by the Lagoon - we absolutely loved the grilled oysters. Finally, we were dropped off at our hotel. Nam was incredibly knowledgeable about the area - affable, charming, and a fantastic guide. We thoroughly enjoyed his company, and his tour will be our top recommendation to any friends or family visiting this area.Written 18 March 2025
- ritajE1596QL0 contributionsThis is exactly what we expected. To stay ahead of the crowds, it's the best to move through in the recommended 30 minutes before heading to your next stop. Ba Na Hills & Golden Bridge – A vast park where we arrived with the early rush. Despite the crowds, the lines were still manageable. We opted for the combo entry tickets, which included a buffet lunch at the Entrance tickets. Coffee with a View – A quick stop for some excellent coffee, paired with a stunning view at Hai Van Pass. Highly recommended!Written 14 March 2025
- quint0k0 contributionsBest price trip from Hoi An to HueOur journey from Hoi An to Hue was fantastic - a perfect way to travel between cities while taking in the sights along the way. Our driver, Long, was a great guide, providing insightful information not only about the sights we visited but also about the towns we passed through.Written 11 March 2025

- Maps4504820 contributionsBest way to travel from Hoi An to HueScenery from the private car and helpful driver made the ride pleasant. We could not have visited all the sites he took us on our own. The eatery our driver recommended was excellent also.Written 3 January 2025
- lilliamc9530 contributionsGreat way to get from Hoi An to HuePrivate car is the best choice when you travel. We arrange our own pace and our tour guide Ken is really nice, speaks great English and is very professional. Because of the rainy weather yesterday, we changed to another sightseeing spot, and he was also very comfortable about it. He told us many interesting stories in Hoi An and Hue, we were introduced to many delicious and cheap places to eat. The company supports quickly and enthusiastically.Written 13 December 2024
- bartholics0 contributionsThe best service company in Vietnam that I knowLong is a supper driver. My wife and I exactly the experience we expected on our tour from Hoi An to Hue. We were given a range of options to choose from and did not feel rushed at any point. We left Hoi An at 7:00 am so we could explore and have free time. A quick stop for some great coffee with a great view at Hai Van. Instead of lunch at Golden Bridge you can have grilled oysters at Lap An Lagoon, very delicious. I will definitely recommend this company and driver Linh to my friends when they come to Vietnam.Written 6 December 2024
- R6494NMsantiagos0 contributionsFun trip! Great driverMy wife and I took this tour as part of our honeymoon trip. We had an amazing time with Long! He was a fantastic driver and so fun to speak with about the journey and about Vietnam in general. We learned so much and took beautiful pictures of the stunning landscape. I would recommend this tour with Long to all of my friends and family.Written 23 November 2024
- mclister010 contributionsSmooth ride, great viewsLong was the best; he picked us up promptly, kindly helped load the car with our absurd amount of baggage, and whisked us off to 5 different stops on our way to Hue. Because it’s the rainy season, he recommended a change of plans so we wouldn’t be disappointed by one of our stops. We had the best time! Highly recommend booking Long for your commute from Hoi An to Hue (or the reverse).Written 22 November 2024
- tofollah0 contributionsMost memorable tour in VietnamWe really enjoyed this tour! If I had known about the company earlier, I would have booked another Hue City tour with them. Nam was a perfect tour guide, always smiling and giving us great suggestions! We had salt coffee at Hai Van Pas with a stunning view of the sea.Written 19 November 2024
- caufieldh20240 contributionsLocal driver is very knowledgeable and speaks good EnglishWe were contacted immediately after booking, everything was very fast and good. Our driver Kim made sure our trip was comfortable and picked us up on time. Since we booked a private car, we were free to choose our departure time and tour time as we wanted. He was available and cheerful, he was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.Written 15 November 2024
- bcathansen0 contributionsFabulous trip from Hue to Hoi An with DavidDavid picked us up from our hotel in Hue and drove us to Hoi An. It rained most of the day but he was such a careful and safe driver. We went via marble and monkey mountains which were both incredible. So much to see.Written 30 October 2024
- Anne W0 contributionsBest way to get from Hoi An to HueWe booked this trip to get us from Hoi An to Hue in a fun and intimate. Everything was great from communication from the company right away to making suggestions for an itinerary change if we were interested. We did make some changes. Our driver was Alex . He was exceptional. He checked in with us to confirm our pickup and was all on board with the change to the original itinerary. We had a great trip despite the rain. We didn’t get to see some of the wonderful views but we did have a great conversation with Alex. He was happy to answer all our questions and we felt like time spent with him was the true value in the trip. It’s a long car ride but all the stops make for a very interesting day! Definitely recommend!Written 29 October 2024

We needed to travel from Hue to Hoi An as a small sporty of 3 adults. decided to book this tour so we could see some of the sites on the way. We were picked up at the hotel in Hue by our friendly driver, Tien, who told us all about the trip, what we would see and how people lived in Vietnam. It was a great tour seeing lagoons, oyster fisheries, mountain passes and then stopping off at Na Ba Hills. Don’t be fooled by picture os the hand - it is so much larger than this, more of a theme parks high up in the mountains. The cable cars take 15 minutes to get you to the top of the mountain! Crazy! We spent 3 -4 hours ar Na Ba Hills but could easily have spent all day. Tien waited for us and didn’t rush us. We then visited Marble Mountain which was very impressive. Tien was a careful and safe driver who helped take photos. He was a wonderful guide. This is a full day with plenty to see. Excellent value for money - better than the train! Thank you Tien!

We had a lovely day today. Ben arrived right on time and was extremely helpful and always with a smile. He gave us little local information all the way, and even took us to a very nice local restaurant at the end of the day where they made special vegetarian food for us.

My drive was Nin. He was very punctual and efficient with his driving. He was kind enough to offer water and candies - both of which I politely declined. He was happy to wait while I took my time exploring the various destinations.
The lagoon wasn’t much to shout about, the pass drive was pretty and over all too quickly, the golden hand bridge was awesome to behold but held hostage in a theme park (the cable car ride to get there was awesome tho) and the marble caves were good for some photo ops - but the largest cave had all the shrines covered in lights, which might be a local tradition that I’m not aware of.

This was the only disappointing day of our trip so far; hence writing the poor review.
Essentially it would be far cheaper/easier/faster to stay in Hoi An and just organise the tours independently through your hotel, rather than this over-priced tour operator.
Our driver was lovely but his grasp of English was extremely poor; we couldn’t tell the difference between him saying “entrance” & “exit” & he couldn’t describe any of the sights we were seeing, other than “good place for a picture”, which meant we couldn’t ask him about different ticket prices and accidentally bought the most expensive ticket for Ba Na Hills when there was no need. It was also very difficult to arrange meeting him if we stopped at a tourism site as he struggled to coordinate.
The first 2 “stops” were just on the side of the road en route to the bigger attractions, but labelled as sight seeing opportunities to justify the tour - a view of the lake & a view of the beach.
Ba Na Hills (where we wanted to see the Golden Hands Bridge) was just an over-priced theme park. It stung a bit having to pay an extra $35 entry fee on top of the $55 per person taxi price: would have been nice to know in advance what we would need to pay, and have an accurate description of what we would see.
The Marble Mountain is worth a visit, but far better to use an authentic hotel tour operator than this glorified taxi service.
It wasted 1/2 a day of an otherwise amazing trip & we hope others won’t make the same mistake.
2 other small things to add…
We asked the tour company for a quote to drive us from Hoi An to Hue & she quoted well above the rate offered by our hotel.
When we communicated our disappointment in the experience and shared the difference in price, we received a message asking us to “calm down”. We are disappointed and would recommend finding a different operator.

I'll start by saying this review in no way reflects the journey itself, as I highly recommend doing a day tour between Hue and Hoi An as an extended transfer.
What this review reflects is mostly the vehicle itself and driver.
We were driven around in a tired small Toyota sedan taxi (like you would expect to find in the major cities 10 years ago) rather than the countless limousine vans and newer Fortuner/SUVs that passed us all day. In fact, after spending two nights in Hoi An, every taxi we ordered being so modern and comfortable convinced me of my need to write this review (rather than forget about it like 90% of my other negative experiences).
The rear seat foam had clearly compressed beyond expected use, the suspension was loud and bottoming out on every bump, and the brake pads were clearly worn as we heard loud grinding at every stop. We are used to the traffic in Vietnam and expectations of being a passenger, but navigating the hai van pass in this questionable vehicle had us seriously concerned for our safety.
On top of this, being offered so many equivalent trips for half the price in brand new SUVs, I was happy to stick to this booking for the somewhat comfort of it being through an international website but now regret that decision.
I had no major qualms with the driver other than feeling like we'd inconvenienced him by booking this trip the entire day.

I recently used the Hue To Hoi An By Private Car service via Hai Van Pass, Golden Bridges and it was an unforgettable experience. Our driver was friendly and knowledgeable , comfortable throughout the entire journey. The Hai Van Pass was definitely the highlight of the trip - the views were absolutely stunning and the ride was exhilarating. The Marble Mountains were also fascinating to explore. I highly recommend this private car service to anyone looking for a unique and memorable way to travel between Hue and Hoi An

Vu was a great guide. He was knowledgeable in all areas, gave us recommendations for food and day trips in all areas around Hue, Da nang and Hoi an.
He was easy to talk to and welcoming from the minute he picked up our bags.
I highly recommend this trip and this tour as it went above and beyond our expectations including the golden bridge and marble mountain and we even got to see a monkey!
Thanks Vu and the team!

Good driver, decent car, took us on trip from Hue to Hoi An. Happy to stop where we wanted to along the way and found a good restaurant for lunch. This is a great way to transfer between the two Hue with Hoi An at reasonable cost.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Hue To Hoi An By Private Car tour, which took me through the stunning Hai Van Pass, past the iconic Golden Bridge, and to the beautiful Marble Mountains. The driver was friendly and professional, and I felt safe and comfortable throughout the journey. The tour was well-organized, and I appreciated the flexibility to spend as much or as little time at each location as I wanted. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting.
