My wife and I have visited Da Nang and Hoi An almost every year (excluding COVID) and no visit is complete without a Jeep tour around Da Nang and surrounding regions with this company. The owner, Den is delightful and keen to assist with ensuring each trip is unique and enjoyable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this to others visiting this region.

Pedr collected me from my Hotel in the afternoon. I was his sole passenger that day. Very nice guy and good company. Genuine ex-US Army 1963 Jeep was great fun! Unfortunately, I had developed a slightly delicate stomach during the day but he was very helpful. First stop was a local drinks stall where he got me an interesting lime juice drink. it was great for settling my stomach. The market was fascinating. Even though I live in Hong Kong and am used to Wet markets, this was more reminiscent of Asia 30 years ago! With live frogs, eels, great looking fresh fish. Lots of different meats. Great looking Pork Belly, Pigs ears, every part. All legal! We had a delicious Viet 'pancake' on the traditional little red stools. No idea what was in it, but very good. Then a more traditional deep fried Banana pancake, which was also helpful in calming my inside. I did not want to risk too much, so I declined his offer a fish restaurant. Instead, he took me on a trip in the jeep to the lady Buddha, which was great in the Jeep. On the way back, we stopped at a local Pub for a Beer and some 'drinking' snacks. Then off to the Night market. This was more touristic, less of a local Market, but located next to a fabulous Buddhist Temple in full Prayer mode. So many food stalls here of every description. Even 2 Australian guys making Pizza! We tried a very delicious Viet dessert. Like poached Quail eggs in individual deep fried corn baskets. Very nice indeed. And lots of good conversation about his home, Freemantle. My only regret is not feeling well enough to fully try all the different dishes he showed me, but he did his best. Entirely my own fault.

Can not recommend this tour enough. Our host Pedr, Aussie ex pat, having lived here for more than a decade was amazing. His knowledge is 2nd to none. We got to see and taste things you just wouldn’t know existed without this local knowledge. Pedr’s background as a chef, we are sure, also helped. We have done these types of tours all over the world and we still can’t believe the value for money this tour was. Hats off to Pedr and his drivers. Will definitely check this out again next time we are in Danang and will be sure to tell all our friends.

You don’t really get to appreciate the taste of Vietnam until you’ve wandered around the places that the locals eat, see the markets where local shop, and eat the food the locals prepare. Vietnam Food Safari takes you to the places other visitors to Vietnam (tourists who don’t venture past the tours) don’t get to enjoy. If you want authenticity, then VFS is for you!

One of the best experiences. Food places we attended very authentic, somewhere we would not have found if we didnt have our fantastic guides.

We had blast riding in the Jeep through back roads and into neighbour hoods that we would never have seen if we had kept only to the guide books. We experienced authentic Vietnamese cruising and culture. Safe , fun,easy, adventurous along with excellent food. Thank you Pedr for a fantastic day.

Visited Vietnam so many time over the years but not Da nang. I was so please to do this great tour ...I have never thought of Da nang for a tour ...wrong...... it’s was so good , great food , so different from other place in Vietnam ...great English speaking guide....I would recommend this tour if you want great food and to see Da nang cuisine...this tour is a must ...I will be back again in July for another food safari with this group 🎋

Been in Vietnam , so many time , but never explored Da nang ....what a great surprise this tour was ...the food , the information was so good ....I didn’t know Da nang food was so good and different from our place in Vietnam ....the guide was very good , and having great English , Made it very interesting tour...I will now visit Da nang more , and take the food tour again .........yum yum yum 😋

“Eat where the locals eat”, they said.... “you’ll enjoy it” they said.... “this is the real Vietnam” they said. And they were RIGHT!! I challenge you to find the places and the tastes that VFS can offer you. We were there this month and we’ll be coming back in July - I only hope I can last out for that long for genuine Vietnamese cuisine.

So lucky to have stumbled across this amazing tour. We never would have had the chance to find all of these incredible foods on our own - and to have a westerner running the tour made it even easier to truly understand every food/ingrediant etc. Will recommend to all friends and family.
