We came across ToursBaku (which is also apparently run as Caspi Tours) online and Mr Karim got in touch with us. He has been exceptionally prompt with messages, responding to calls and queries on Whatsapp. He was transparent about the trip details, provide valuable suggestions to have a good trip, accommodated all our requests and modified the itinerary and went out of the way to even assist with general queries of Azerbaijan. He priced the trip reasonably and we did not have to pay anything before arrival. We were accompanied by Mr. Telman for the entire 5 nights and 6 days trip, he was not only a very professional driver but was also an excellent guide, he helped us with how to tour each area, helped with translation and communicating with the local people in Azerbaijan too. He recommended places to shop, eat, gave us his charger to use in the van, clicked pics for us and also played our regional music through his mobile during the journey. He was so friendly, cheerful, patient, helpful, punctual and courteous. Mr. Telman not just accommodated all our itinerary items but also ensured that when we missed one area due to some unforeseen delay, he adjusted it in the next day to ensure we cover our itinerary. For whoever is reading this, I did not go to Azerbaijan with a lot of expectations especially after visiting most of Europe, but I must say that the country is amazing and is much better than most european countries. You get to feel the culture and at the same time you get those modern vibes. The infrastructure, the roads, the facilities are great, the people are really nice and helpful although communication sometimes was a bit of a problem. We opted for Baku, Shahdag and Gabala tours with Caspi. It started with the experience of dealing with Mr. Karim who helped us with build our itinerary. The guy I thought is a real professional. Explained all aspects of the trip very clearly and in detail, was very patient with me and answered all my queries with full satisfaction. He did not take any advance from me which I found a bit strange but I guess they work on trust. I HAVE to mention about our tour guide Mr. Gunduz, who is a real gem of a person. Great guy, very professional and knowledgeable, never said no to any request we made. Took us tirelessly from place to place, he really is a powerhouse. I really connected with the guy and I consider him my brother now. For me these are the things that meant a lot and made our trip memorable. Overall Azerbaijan has a lot to offer, Baku is one of the best cities I have visited and Gabala - nature at its best.
