This is a great cycle experience through the beautiful of Tonle Sap riverside where you’ll encounter experience with the beautiful farmlands, pretty floating villages, paddy rice fields, fishing community, Muslim community and Buddha temples. Refresh with a nice breezy from the river and enjoy the tropical fruits as the good way for us to keep up riding to visit silver and bronze handicraft villages where you will connect with a local artisan and learn from the villagers. A final climb up the Oudong Hill to see a largest Buddha status, royal stupas and get stunning view of Cambodia countryside. Oudong is a former royal capital of Cambodia from the 17th to the 19th centuries. It located at northwest of Phnom Penh. We will pick you up at your hotel and drive to the meeting point at north of Phnom Penh capital city.

          Wonderful day! Thank you!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Silk Island / Countryside tour with Narith and Simon. It was great to get out of PP to get a glimpse of how locals live daily. We experienced ferry crossings, tofu skin manufacturing, grass mat weaving, silk production and weaving, fresh fruit tasting, rice, taro and lemongrass fields, mango trees, local foods at lunchtime and more. Thank you!

          Highly Recommend!
Thong is a wonderful guide and human. He collected me early morning from the hotel and we went to three different locations and got over 50 species. Snacks and brunch and great conversation as well as dozens of lifer species. Thong is extremely knowledgeable and easy to be around. I highly recommend!

          Phnom Penh Afternoon Bird Tour
We had an amazing day!. Although we opted for the afternoon tour instead of the morning we still saw 35 species of bird including Coppersmith Barbet, Black Naped Monarch, White Throated Rock Thrush, Yellow Bittern and the Cambodian Tailorbird. We crossed the Tonle Sap and Mekong rivers by ferry and proceeded to a forested area where we spent the first couple of hours. We then stopped off to the habitat of the Cambodian Tailorbird before finishing in a wetland area where we watched the sunset over the city! Our guide Thong was so knowledgable and interesting. He took his camera and the birds are his photos that I have posted. he finally took us for a bite to eat back in Phnom Penh. I can't recommend this tour enough if you like bird watching!

No regrets, highlight of my trip
I totally love my guide Narith. He was sincere, observant and witty. We had a good trip from the moment we met at my hotel lobby. It’s great that he worked in the fields when he was younger so he was able to explain the workings of the farm as we went through the fields and plantation.

We saw so many beautiful birds 😊
We had a wonderful morning with Thong. He picked us up 5.30am from hotel and we had an interesting trip on the ferry to other side of river to Phnom Penh city. He took us to a wetland area, teeming with life, where we had great sightings of an amazing array of birds, all new to us. He looked after us so considerately, bringing us mango fruit and cold water. He took us to great place for breakfast, overlooking a lake with swallows and a bee eater perched on reeds clearly visible with the naked eye. We then went to a forested area around a temple, where the bird watching was superb. Thong was very skilled at finding the birds and helping us find them. We had great sighting of Cambodian Tailor Birds, plus 44 other birds! My favourites were the White Rumped Shama and the Shikra. We were delighted to have seen so many beautiful birds! It was an absolute pleasure to meet Thong and his trip is brilliant. Binoculars were available from Thong too. he also provided us with the bird list of our sightings. Fantastic to get the chance to see great wetland and forest areas so close to the city. Hugely enjoyable. Thank you Thong!

          Lovely concept disappointing arrangements
I'm afraid our experience on a self guided cycling trip in Portugal was rather disappointing too. This was one of the few times we've used a tour operator, hoping to pay extra for a smoother more insightul experience. But it wasn't really. When we saw the hotels they had booked we quickly looked out alternatives but they wouldn't let us change them. Macs subcontract everything to a local firm so were unable to take decisions, the local contact was very nice but the company were inflexible. The hotels were lazy choices, and miserably disappointing. So we paid for their acommodation but also booked our own, these were fairly cheap, lovely hotels which could accomodate bikes safely. The self guided routes were good, but they were just downloads easily available online. There was no other information like points of interest, restaurants or extra tips to help you stay on course

          Very nice local experience
Narith was an excellent guide who immersed us in the insights of Cambodia. We visited many local businesses, from small silk and cotton enterprises to a pagoda and a skin tofu factory. Everything was well-planned, and he took great care of us, always ensuring that we understood all the information.

          Great Experience and insights
Very interesting tour with great experiences. The guide told a lot of things about living on the Silk Island as he grew up and lives there as well. The food was amazing and the spots very interesting. I can highly recommend this to everyone!

          Birdwatching from Phnom Penh
I was picked up at my hotel in Phnom Penh and driven by Thong Chea to several diverse areas for bird watching. He took great care to make sure we found a variety of water, forest and open farmland birds. We saw nearly 40 different species but the highlight was the endemic Cambodian Tailorbird. I would highly recommend this trip to other keen birdwatchers.

A day biking on Silk island and Mekong Island, learning about the Cambodian way of life
The most amazing adventure with our guide Sey. Support local and book this tour, you will not regret it. We learnt so much about the Cambodian way of life on this tour. The highlight for us was visiting the Silk Island school. Sey is an absolute asset to your business, thank you for going out of your way Sey to teach us so much about your way of life.

          Awesome experience
This bike tour was an incredible adventure! The scenery was breathtaking, the guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and the organization was top-notch. The route was perfectly planned, and the included stops for refreshments were a delightful touch. The terrain is flat all the way, which made it pretty easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Mr Nuth is an excellent cycle guide!
My mother (fit at 74 years) and I enjoyed a great day cycling, ferrying over to explore silk island with a sit-down tasting different Cambodia fruits at the silk factory, and later a great lunch on a floating restaurant. Mr Nuth was our super attentive and mindful guide. Being picked up and returned to our hotel, we truly enjoyed the day! Thank you very much Mr Nuth, kind regards, Jacobs family from Amsterdam NL

The only way to experience the islands
Amazing way to spend your first morning escaping the busy city. I was concerned before booking due to the heat and traffic but the tour escapes the madness. Sey met us at our hotel and had a tuk tuk take us to the ferry. Other companies left you to find your own way to the meet points across the ferries. Good new bikes and water provided. Sey was an amazing tour guide taking time to stop and explain anything and everything that caught our eye. 27km bike ride in total with lots of stops at interesting areas to ensure you do not notice the distance. 2 hours cycle across a 4/5 hours Water provided, mix of off road and tarmac but away from the traffic. Good amount of shade to keep a ginger fella safe. Great fruit break (Kong ;-)) at the silk tour. Lovely lunch stop by the river to learn more from Sey on the local ingredients and his home life on silk island. Best tour guide ever, give him a raise :-) Thanks Sey - Dave & Assunta

Thong is the most genuine, friendly and considerate guide that I have ever met. He went out of his way to share details on any wildlife that we encountered (he is an avid bird watcher), and stopped to speak with residents at notable sites along the route we took, so that we could hear more about local life (people really respond to his friendliness and openness). We went out on the hottest day in Phnom Penh this year, and yet Thong did his best to make sure that we biked the shadiest route possible and that we stayed hydrated and cooled off at each stop. He took time to share details on Cambodia's history and culture, both historical challenges as well as bright spots, including sharing his family's/his personal experiences. He even invited me to join his family in doing an extra temple hike at the end of the day, where his wife and three children were excellent guides as well! I would happily join another of Thong's self-designed tours on my next trip to Phnom Penh, as he's always coming up with new ideas with an emphasis on eco-tourism and experiences that give a window on genuine Cambodian life.

Excellent day. We were worried we might not be up for the ride in the heat, but the pace was gentle with plenty of stops (and we’ll definitely be sleeping well tonight ).

Thong was very insightful, an open book enthusiastically sharing his broad knowledge of the country, industry, religion, history and food. And just a lovely warm and fine human who we genuinely enjoyed chatting with throughout the day. We’d love to tour with him again in future, highly recommended.

        Overall a great experience!
Pickup at our hotel was punctual at 7.30am and although the guide is a young man (Piseh), he proved to be patient, friendly n speaks pretty good English. All along our almost 40km route, he pointed out interesting facts about the landscape & Cambodian culture.
The bikes are Cannondales, very comfortable & most suited for off road. With 29" wheels, it made our journey a wheeze. We brought our own mobile phone holders so had no problem recording & viewing our route. Mr Thong, the owner, did mention that he is going to obtain some so future riders may want to enquire if you need to bring your own.
The ride ended (not the tour though) with a much welcomed Cambodian lunch at a restaurant. After that, Mr Thong brought us in his SUV to the Oudang Mtn which houses remains of the Cambodian King n family. It's a pretty taxing (after a long ride) walk up but do-able, just take a breather now n then. The temples & stupas up there is really worth the effort. Magnificent. Then we walked down the other side of the mountain to where the SUV was waiting, dropping us at our hotel.
Couldn't ask for more from a superb day's outing. Highly recommend to folks who want to see the real Cambodia safely n unhurriedly.

This is an excellent way to explore rural Phnom Penh.

It does not matter if you are an experienced rider, the guides will accommodate your pace and take care of your safety. The bicycles are of good quality and clean. Do note that as at Dec'22, roads are still undergoing development, so it will mostly be a bumpy and muddy ride. Best time to visit is during the dry season from around Nov - Jun.

Guides speak English and are very open to sharing their knowledge with you - we asked them many questions about local life and culture - and learnt a lot from them! Great way to spend a day, highly recommended!

Wow! A breathtaking cycling tour with Thong. We cycled through amazing, tourist free, villages and we were able to get a true sense of life in rural Cambodia. Our lunch stop was at a place frequented by Cambodians. Thong provided us an opportunity to experience Cambodian life.

The cycling, which may put some people off, was very doable. Thong was mindful of our abilities and pace. He caters to the cyclists’ abilities.

The short hike on Oudong Mountain was icing on the cake. It is a place where Cambodians spend their weekends. The Buddhist temple, and being able to participate in face washing ritual was amazing.

        An unforgettable day!

Excellent tour which gives you a great insight in the rural life just outside of Phnom Penh. You enter a different world with a mix of small local villages and the ever expanding city. Great energised and knowledgable guide with a mix of activities: cycling, floating villages, walking Oudong mountain and visiting a local market and silver shop. Because of the setup you can decide on your own pace how and what to explore during the tour.

Udong was a great place to finish. We met Thong there who was also a super guy.

I went with the English speaking guide Pis, who provided me a true adventure. First we took the ferry to leave Phnom Penh for Mekong island that offered stunning pagodas. Then back to the mainland into rural landscapes and remote villages. For hours I was the only non-Camodian which was noticed by hundred’s of kids welcoming me in their habitat. After a visit to a local silver craft shop and a Cambodian lunch we arrived at the old capital Oudong that offered countless temples, amazing views, a food market and monkey ‘s ! It was worth every penny, thanks Pis !

Very good experience through the Cambodian villages far from the hustle and bustle of the city. This gives an idea of the way of life in Cambodian villages. The locals are very welcoming.
Thong is very friendly and gives us a lot of information and explanations.
