Stop At: THATLUANG Temple, Vientiane, Laos
In the morning, the guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the capital of Vientiane. You will see the oldest temple of Wat Sisaket which boasts thousands of miniature Buddha statues. The next stop will be at the royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which used to be where the famous Emerald Buddha image was located. From here we visit Laos’s national icon, That Luang Stupa, stopping along the way to take pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph.
In the afternoon, you will walk through Vientiane and see Wat Ong Tue, Wat Impeng and Wat Haisok. You will have plenty of time to go shopping at the Vientiane Central Market of Talad Sao. You will find many different items for sale including fresh foods, household items, souvenirs, textiles, gold, silver and antiques.
Before the sun goes down, you will head over to the Mekong river, so that you can see the magnificent sunset.
