About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Vacationer8105880 contributionsDay tour of KarachiWe took a 1-day tour in and around Karachi. The guide and driver were just perfect, they arrived to collect us punctually and navigated the crazy local traffic with ease. Our guide, Izahr (Ali), was knowledgeable and willing to tailor the day to our needs.Written 23 February 2025
- Go341571543710 contributionsDon’t botherI regret taking this tour. The guide was quite useless and not knowledgable at all- at each site he just handed us over to the local guide, who gave us some history and context about the sites; I felt obliged to give them some tips as they were at least adding some value. All they offer is a very expensive pick and drop service. A Visit to Taxila is highly recommended; however you could get the same thing done for a quarter of what this company charges by just hiring a car and driver for the day.Written 29 December 2024

- 93nikhilg0 contributionsMulk-e-azamVisited Pakistan thanks to apricot tours and particularly due to the hard work and kindness of Ahmad Posh (sahib). As a diaspora Indian Hindu I would wholeheartedly recommend this company and Ahmad sahib. This was truly a trip of a lifetime, as someone who at 27 years of age has had the privilege of traveling to 40+ countries.Written 14 December 2024
- aminaaN854JS0 contributionsAmazing Skardu & HunzaWe had 10 days trip for Skardu & Hunza in June 2024 with Apricot Tours. The whole trip was amazing. The only hick up in the whole trip was the closed Babu sar top so we were unable to visit Naran. If we knew that babu sar top will be closed in first week of June we would have opted for flight to Skardu and would have returned by road. Therefore anyone planning to visit Skardu make sure that Babu Sar top is open. If it's close then take flight to Skardu & return via road to enjoy Naran.Written 26 November 2024
- EstherHMLim0 contributionsAmazing 13 Days Trip With Apricot ToursMy friends and I have gone for a 13 days sighting seeing with hiking in Northern Pakistan and have started to plan for our Pakistan trip since 2023, almost 1 year ago. After requesting trip plans and quotations from various company, decided to engage Apricot Tours for our trip based on the detailed trip plan and the price quoted and most importantly the trip coordinator – Ahrar whom I have come across. I can say that Ahrar has been very patient and detailed in answering my questions and queries even if there are a lot of emails. During the trip. Sadruddin is assigned as our main guide to lead and take care of our group and glad that he has been assigned as he is a very experienced and humorous guide who has good photography skills as well. Never a moment that we are bored with him cracking jokes along the trip bringing up the travel atmosphere during the trip with him around. He also takes good care of the group for our well-being and meals especially when we go for hiking a few days in the mountains with higher altitude. Most importantly, our group is always well-fed throughout our trip. Camping conditions have also exceeded our expectations for the food cooked and provided as well as the camping facilities. Glad to say that we have nice weather during our trip and Hunza Valleys are very nice in the autumn seasons with amazing views. If there is a chance to visit other parts of Pakistan again will sure find Apricot to plan for our trip again. Till next time.Written 11 November 2024
- ravic8570 contributionsUnforgettable Skardu and HunzaWe went on a 12 day trip to Skardu and Hunza and the views and trip was amazing. Our guide Kamran and driver Ali made it much more special helping us with pictures, helping us meet and see how locals lived, worked and trying local fruits, snacks and food. Kamran is very knowledgeable and shared a great deal about the history, culture, religion and different cultures and practices. Overall it was a wonderful trip, in a challenging terrain made unforgettable by the amazingly beautiful natural scenery, the care shown by Kamran and Ali and the wonderful experiences and people we met. Would definitely recommend this trip.Written 6 November 2024

- Compass496292695620 contributionsAn amazing experienceOur recent trip to Pakistan was nothing short of amazing. Kiramat from Apricot Tours helped to plan a fantastic itinerary, and delivered exceptionally. Sadrudien, our guide, was really beautiful. His manner, attention, mindfulness and helpfulness was exactly what we needed. It made the trip seamless. Our driver Ijlal, was quietly pleasant. He negotiated real rough terrain with ease, while we relaxed. Will highly recommend Apricot Tours and the team.Written 31 October 2024
- GrandTour603506916170 contributionsOutstanding hosts for the GB-Khyber area.My partner and I engaged Apricot Tours for a customised visit to Khyber and GB during winter 2023. Our guides were fantastic, adapting to the many challenging situations that happen during winter travel i.e. cancelled flights, road closures, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable trip with lots of hiking, culture and history in the beautiful Karakorum. Apricot, with their local contacts in the GB-Khyber area, found us the most exceptional guides for our stay in Khyber - it was a trip of a lifetime.Written 27 October 2024
- mariamK1509WB0 contributionsK2 Base Camp Trek - The Experience of a LifetimeIn short: An unforgettable trip to one of the highest and the most famous mountain ranges in the world. The organization was almost impeccable, especially for such a difficult multi-day trip to a very remote and harsh location, where everything can (and will) happen. The difficulty of the trek (even without Gondogoro La) is not to be underestimated, though. Nevertheless, our guides Sajid Ali Holla and Afzal Karim (took care of us "like a hen takes care of her eggs" :))) went above and beyond to help every single one of us. Below follows a very detailed review of all aspects of the tour. General organization of the trip. Apricot Tours did an amazing job from the very start. The person in contact - Azhar Aman - was extremely helpful and understanding, even considering that we had major problems making the initial online payment from Russia. All communications were clear, swift and pleasant. Detailed visa assistance was provided. All transfers, accommodation and on-site communications were organized perfectly. We really liked the company policy that the main mountain guide (Sajid in our case) meets the group before the trek in the Islamabad hotel and accompanies the group from the very beginning to the very end of the trip. Organization of excursions in Skardu and jeep transfers to/from Askole were also very good, even though there were multiple unforeseen (and seemingly unresolvable) obstacles: a civil protest blocking the road on the Skardu-Askole transfer day, and 3 huge landslides on the way back. Nevertheless, us and all our belongings were transported safely. The trek. During the trek the organization was almost perfect: we got three delicious hot meals (including meat/chicken, rice/pasta, vegetables and dessert) every day, the camp was set before our arrival, both guides were ready to help on difficult parts of the trek and/or to chat with you. As there were both very fast and very slow people in our group, one of the guides lead the fast group, and the other - the slow group, making sure that people walked in a comfortable pace and no one got lost. Sajid and Afzal organized everything, took care of everything and did the impossible to make everyone happy. Special thanks to the cook staff and to the head chef Yousuf, who not only made absolutely amazing meals (how about a pizza? or a birthday cake? or delicious creamy pasta with mushrooms?), but also took care of us when we got sick. The mountains. No words are expressive enough to describe the Great Karakoram. These mountains are impossible. Impossibly sharp. Impossibly difficult. Impossibly huge. Impossible. Our main question in Concordia was "Is there ANYTHING greater than that?". Two months later and there is still no answer. I doubt that there is a more impressive trekking destination in the whole world. The problems. There were two major inconveniences. These are not an Apricot Tours' fault, but rather something that all adventurers, no matter their tour operator, have to deal with. 1. Water quality and general sanitary conditions. Even though the cook staff did everything possible to avoid contamination, the drinking water was boiled, and every tourist used hand sanitizer regularly, 8 out of 9 people in our group eventually got sick. The situation was similar in other companies' groups. For most people simple treatment like Imodium did not work, and antibiotics were absolutely necessary (metronidazole = Flagyl helped like a charm in our case, but it may not help in yours). Stomach problems drastically drain one's energy making a difficult trek even more challenging. Still, Sajid and Afzal did everything possible to accommodate the sick, and even carried their day packs in severe cases. 2. The trek itself is much more difficult than it may seem from the simple distance and altitude data per day presented on the website. The trick is to look at the *cumulative* altitude gain that sums the gains on all uphill sections, not only at the difference in camp altitudes. Moreover, we booked the trip without GGLA (return the same way), and as our itinerary was changed to include an additional night in Concordia (Concordia-K2BC-Concordia is too much on one day), the way back to Askole had to be done in 4 days. Below is the approximate data from my GPS watch for every walking day (the altimeter is barometric, so this data is not precise, but gives a pretty good understanding): - Askole-Jhola: distance 17.7 km, cumulative gain 506m, cumulative loss 425m (sunny weather makes it a hot desert walk); - Jhola-Paiju: 19.0 km, cum. gain 933m, cum. loss 616m (again, a hot desert walk); - Paiju-Khoburtse: 14.1 km, cum. gain 916m, cum. loss 494m; - Khoburtse-Urdukas: 6.4 km, cum. gain 470m, cum. loss 261m; - Urdukas-Goro II: 12.0 km, cum. gain 633m, cum. loss 428m; - Goro II-Concordia: 13.7 km, cum. gain 670m, cum. loss 340m; (Me and my mother did not go to K2BC because we were sick, so no data for that day. However, other people told us that they had to walk for 11h in a fast pace, and still had to camp at Broad Peak BC, as returning to Concordia was not feasible.) - Concordia-Goro I: 17.5 km, cum. gain 455m, cum. loss 796m; - Goro I-Liligo: 19.2 km, cum. gain 814m, cum. loss 1200m (the weather was changing, so the data may not be accurate); - Liligo-Bardumal: 17.8 km, cum. gain 628m, cum. loss 1051m (again, the weather was unstable); As you can see, on the last day we were supposed to go from Bardumal (halfway between Jhola and Paiju) all the way to Askole, that is 27 km. Fortunately, we were unbelievably lucky and managed to hire a jeep just after 6 km. As some of us were still sick, it would have been an extremely challenging day. I understand why these changes to the itinerary were made (a rest day in Concordia was needed for people going to GGLA and there were news about landslides on the jeep road Askole-Skardu making the jeep ride in the afternoon too risky). I publish this data so that other aspiring adventurers understood the real difficulty of the trek and would not be misled by "flat 20 km, only 100m altitude gain" like most of us were. Proper training and preparation are absolutely necessary (keep in mind that everything happens at the altitude 3-5km, most of the trip you are on the glacier and you may be suffering from stomach problems). People who went to the Everest BC before said that it was "a walk in the park" compared to this trip. If you, like us, have accepted your addiction to mountains - this trip is for you, even though there are many difficulties and a lot of preparation involved. If you are still unsure about what you want - maybe it would be better to book a simpler trek. For us it was the unforgettable trip of a lifetime. Thank you, Apricot Tours, Sajid, Afzal, Yousuf, all the supporting staff and all our group members for making this trip what it was. Sincerely yours, Maria & Katya from RussiaWritten 27 October 2024
- impulser10 contributionsDishonest and misleading, unfortunately do NOT recommend - look at different providersUnfortunately, do NOT recommend. Dishonest and misleading company that is only focussed on extracting money from you, and complete lack of communication at key points. Key issue was that itinerary provided for K2 and Gondogoro la trek was incorrect and misleading - did NOT camp at K2 base camp, and left way too early (5 hours earlier than the itinerary) for Gondogoro pass so reached the top while still dark. No possibility of seeing the 4x 8000m peaks, which was supposed to be the highlight of this trek! I picked this company over other similar ones specifically due to the itinerary, and despite them sending lots of information before the trek, at no point did they mention the itinerary changes - yet they admitted they know the itinerary is not correct, and don't mention it (trying to actually get in contact with them and discuss this afterwards was also very difficult - basically they just try and ignore anyone making a complaint). There were also a few other issues along the way due to poor planning on their part, but this was at least not deliberate like the above issues. I strongly urge you to look at different local companies in similar price range. All the people going with other companies seemed very happy with their trip when meeting and discussing with them along the way.Written 26 October 2024

- salehai20140 contributionsAn unforgettable mesmerising and experience with Apricot Tours.Gilgit baltistan has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. Despite watching many you tube videos before our trip, we were awed by the beautiful turquoise lakes and majestic mountain peaks. Our unforgettable journey would not have been possible without the meticulous planning of Apricot Tours. This trip has been on our bucket list for some time, but we found the planning daunting until a friend recommended Apricot Tours. From the moment I contacted Ahmed at Apricot Tours I was put at ease. He answered all our queries patiently and sent us all the necessary documentation for our trip. From the time we landed in Islamabad we were accompanied by our guide and driver throughout our 8 days. I have to especially mention our tour guide, Aqib, whose kindness, knowledge of the area and his patience in assisting us has to be commended. It would be remiss of me not to mention our driver, Murtaza, whose driving skills were amazing on some very difficult roads. Also his willingness to always lend a hand and his pleasant demeanour must be complimented. Our guide in Islamabad, Manzoor was knowledgeable and patient, especially when he had to take us shopping. We only spent a day with him but it was a memorable one. Thank you to Ahmed and his team at Apricot for your professionalism and the expertise in providing us with a life changing experience.Written 30 September 2024
