          Simply perfect! Recommend it!!
Simply perfect!! Amir, the guy that organised everything, was great. He immediately had to re-adjust the schedule of the tour after the delay of my arrival flight in Tashkent, and it was perfect!! Guides in all the tour, were very prepared and passionate about their job and history of their amazing country! The rest was done by the beauty of Uzbekistan!! No other words needed, just recommend it!!!

          My best tour ever
This has been my best tour ever. Everything was programmed to perfection. The person incharged, Amir, communicated with me through WhatsApp once I booked the tour and we had a regular communication the whole time. The tour was individual and my wife and I had the pleasure of receiving all the information directly from the guides. Drivers and guides were always on time, so we were never late to catch a train or an airplane. It's impresive the coordination of the whole team. The guides are people of great knowledge in their field and was a pleasure to hear their explanations. Finally, I must say that the country of Uzbekistan is amazing.

Professional guide and driver. Beautiful city with full of history
The trip was amazing. Our driver Javlon picked us up from our hotel on time and the ride to and from Shahrisabz was safe and comfortable. Our guide Mrs Firuza was fabulous. She spoke fluent English. She grew up in Shahrisabz and so knew a lot about the place and the people. She was passionate to tell us interesting stories about the monuments and history. She showed us the local life and helped us interact with the locals. I would highly recommend this trip.

The best decision I made this year 😉😄
While we can obtain information through our mobile phones, gaining a deep understanding of Uzbekistan’s culture and people through such interactions is invaluable. The dinner with strangers I met on the train, the delightful jokes shared with guides, the intellectual amusement from discussing world history through their profound knowledge, and the constant kindness from everyone. This tour made me want to visit Uzbekistan again, as a traveler witnessing their changes and growth.

          Amazing value, amazing tour
Can’t say enough about this tour. We had an amazing tour with this company. Once booked Amir reached out to us on WhatsApp to confirm everything and if we needed anything else. Everything is taken care. Tour guides were on time. Transport between locations was taken care of. ZERO ISSUES. While in Samarkand the owner stopped by to check on us to see if everything was going well. Hotels in the cities, except Tashkent, were steps away from the sites. Also the guides went at your pace and never rushed us. I’d recommend this tour to anyone. You won’t find a better value for what you get.

The tales of Uzbekistan that came true
I spent an unforgettable week traveling around Uzbekistan with the travel agency Sogda-tour. Great views, exquisite cuisine, great guide, great accommodation. Special thanks to our friend Irina for organizing the tour and choosing the company.

          dont book with this company
Horrible experience. We travel all over the world and have never been scammed this badly by a company! Whatever you sign up for is not what you will receive. They completely fabricate timings to make you think you can visit all these sites ... its untrue. Save your money and just book a car service. Will be a 10th of the price.

Absolute joke of a company. Book with anyone else!
Absolutely massively disappointing. Not only does the tour company completely lie on their itinerary, but the entire experience is misrepresented. There is no way to accomplish what you pay for. Example: they specify 45 from boarder to first lake. False. It’s 2.5 hours. So to get to the 3rd lake is 3.5 hours … and then all the way back on the same road. It’s horrible. Additionally, the road to the lakes is a goat path that experiences frequent land slides (we had to wait behind an excavator to fix the road before we could proceed). If you get motion sick or have any injury, you will be bounced around like a popcorn kernel in oil. The company is rude, disrespectful and dishonest. Book with anyone else.

          MOST EXCITING TRIP EVER
I thought I had researched Uzbekistan pretty well and even studied the silk road in a college class. I was not prepared for the history before me. I had studied the movement of goods from China to the West and back. The important thing missing was the people and religions that passed through the area. The rulers the architecture. I loved this trip one of my favorites. People are super and the tour guides knowledgable.

          Highly recommend
Very nice experience. Great history and great monument. People usually spend long time in famous large cities but Shahrisabz is truly an underestimated gem that nobody should miss. This was indeed a private tour. My parents and I were the only guests. Contact was smooth, got notified a few days before on WhatsApp about every details. They offered a super nice and comfortable suv, with a great driver picking us up with a sign at our hotel and very on time. There were two photo stops on our way to Shahrisabz, all very nice (actually we ended up stop three times since this trip was very flexible and at ease. The guide was also super sweet, very knowledgeable about the history and local traditions. It was such an enjoyable day.

          MOST EXCITING TRIP EVER
I was a bit nervous about traveling to Uzbekistan alone but the pull of the Silk Road and the architecture pushed me to book the trip. I had no idea of how beautiful and historical the trip would be, nothing like I had studied in college, except the name Silk Road. Trip Advisor was with me every step of the way. Booking trains, local guides, hotels. All I had to do was get up and be ready.

          A great day trip
We enjoyed our tour very much. The driver was on time and stopped at a number of places for photos. Our guide was excellent - very informative with exceptional English. Lunch at a local restaurant was delicious. An enjoyable day trip from Samarkand.

          Disappointing desert trip
I'll start by saying this, the overall experience was just disappointing. The best part was the extraordinarily clean toilet there. It started from being promised a tour guide in Murata, instead we were just left stranded there and told that we will be picked up again in 1 hour. We kind of just walked around and viewed the mosque there, which was nice, but still not what we signed up and paid for. Afterwards the trip continued. We drove another ~2 hours to Ayderkul lake, which was also very nice but we unfortunately only stayed there for half an hour. My personal recommendation is to go just to this lake and stay there for a night because you'll probably get a better experience than in this camp. Anyway, we continued on our way to the camp with another 1 hour drive. Upon arrival at around 6 pm we were greeted and invited right away to ride the camels. We went there and went on for a ~10 minute with the camels, where we on our way saw that the legs of the other camels were tied together when they were "not in use" to ride. Shortly after we returned to the camp and were told food will be served in an hour. Fast forward to dinner, the food was somewhat good, but not traditional and rather European style, compared to other food we've eaten in Uzbekistan and also you had to pay additionally for beverages (which is a joke when you're already paying this amount of money for such a trip). At around 9 they let us know to go outside for the "big bonfire" which was a few sticks burning for a whole 30 minutes, but mainly due to the workers there being too lazy to get more wood, which was plenty there. The "musical evening" was also one of the workers there playing his guitar and singing a few songs from Kazakhstan, for a total of 30 minutes as well. And then expected us to pay more money again. Around 10 pm everyone went on to sleep in their tents, where the beds were basically a wooden plank with some blankets and a pillow. In the morning we had a little breakfast and then everyone drove off again. So overall, the lake and the clean toilet made me give 2/5, but overall a very sobering experience, for this amount of money you can get much more here in Uzbekistan, so would not recommend.

I highly recommend the Uzbekistan 8-day Tashkent-Khiva-Bukhara-Samarkand-Tashkent tour by the Silk Tour agency!

Not only is Uzbekistan an interesting mixture of cultures, the history and architecture along the Silk Road are certainly worth a visit. The food as well as the people are fantastic.

I particularly want to mention Mr. Amir M. from the Silk Road agency who was responsive to our every need; I could send a text in the middle of the night, which he would still answer in a friendly and professional manner. He also selected the best tour guides in each city for us:
-In Khiva, besides lots of historic data, Mr. Ulugbek regaled us with charming personal history passed down by his grandmother.
-In Bukhara, Ms. Ghuli took us on a tour of the city at our pace and told us all about the fascinating history of the cultural and educational sites.
-In Samarkand, Mr. Timur was not only our guide, but also our personal professional photographer.
-In Tashkent, Ms. Anna helped us negotiate with the vendors at Chorsu Bazaar and was the most humble and gracious guide we could have wished for to conclude our trip.

I would like to thank Mr. Amir, all the wonderful guides, and the respectful, patient, and kind drivers for an unforgettable experience!

Excellent trip from start to finish! My family and I truly enjoyed our trip through the magical country that is Uzbekistan. From being picked up at the airport on arrival to being driven and guided throughout the trip we were at east. All the guides spoke fluent English and were knowledgeable and kind. They also knew the best places for the local eats that were absolutely amazing and affordable. The hotels/accommodations were also very nice and the breakfast was great, fresh food and coffee!e Saad the owner was also superb and kind and kept in touch with us the entire time!
