13 Day Turkish Treasures Trip by Gate1 Travel
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the most exciting trip of a lifetime the 13 Day Turkish Treasures. Our guide Yucel is what made this the most memorable trip for me and my two siblings. I've been on four Gate1 trips and the previous guides were good, but Yucel's knowledge, stories and love of his country really shined through throughout our whole trip. He was very attentive and helpful when translating was necessary. His knowledge of all the sites we visited was very impressive. I would definitely consider returning back to Turkey!

        Great sightseing at least.
Nice hotel, service minded personel and great tour on the second day. Negative was the way to early flight to get to Cappadocia, the only thing to do the first day was the so-so camel safari witch lasted about one hour. Rest of first day was just nothing. Unfortunatly my baloon ride the second day got cancelled because of to much wind, and if it hadn't been for the great tour we had later that day I'd say it wasn't worth the trip. Our guide Eda was a 10!

Cappadocia the hidden crown jewel of Turkey!
Wonderful trip and experience in Cappadocia with the most uniquely awe inspiring hot air balloon ride over the Sun rise in the Goreme valley. Certainly elated with everything packaged into this trip starting with the cave hotel at Zeydem, visits to the monasteries, unesco endorsed mountain churches, underground city and several other breath taking sites like fairy chimney, pigeon valley, uchisar castle and imagination devrent valley. Our guide Umit was very friendly and accommodative!

        Fez/Encounters guided tour of Turkey
Just come back from amazing 8 days in Turkey booked with Encounters Travel in UK and locally with Fez travel and guide Goksu. What a fantastic and varied country Turkey is. Istanbul is a very clean and safe city. Afterwards we visited Ephesus, Pamukkale, Hierapolis and Cappadocia. Goksu was a great guide - so knowledgeable and he also helped the whole trip run smoothly. We loved our cave hotel - "Gamirasu". April is a perfect time to visit.

12 days Journey though Turkey with Exoticca and Eurorient
We just returned from our Treasures of Anatolia Trip. The dates of the trip were December 4- 14th, 2023. While reading another review about the same trip, I was sad to hear that Exotica and Euroriente, the travel agency in Turkey were aware about the challenges with the hotel (La Quinta by Wyndham) in Istanbul where we spent the first two days and a half in Istanbul. The hotel in Istanbul, the location was terrible. Istanbul's traffic is insane, and this hotel was very far away from the historical cities in Istanbul, so it took at least an hour to get to any of the sightseeing places. We would urge Exoticca to consider a different hotel in Istanbul for this tour, as wasting several hours in traffic while on vacation is not okay. Our tour guide in Istanbul, Cem Ali, was difficult to understand, and always seemed to be disorganized and in a hurry. We learned at the last day that it was his first tour. Perhaps he was feeling insecure. Fortunate, I am able to understand Spanish and the tour guide assigned to look after the four Spanish-speaking guests was excellent and his historical explanation about each location was delivered with enthusiasm and professionalism. He made every effort to make our trip enjoyable. All his explanations were presented calmly and thoroughly. He welcomed questions, and encouraged us to engage in the discussions and conversations. We must say that Cem Ali provided us information about the next day activities using WhatsApp, which was helpful. He also provided information regarding availability of restrooms (whether we needed to pay or not), food and food choices. He did not provide any information about, distance to walk and difficulty of the walk, souvenir shops and quality of merchandise and how much to pay for things. He could have done more to help and to guide us. He was very patient with a couple that was 5–7 minutes late daily and at every stop we made. Which was annoying; after all, we all knew what time we had to be on the bus. There was no reason to be late on a daily basis. Cem Ali was not very patient or solution focused when I shared about my concerns with leaving our luggage unattended at the hotel lobby while we went on our Balloon ride. He dismissed my concerns with; "the hotel will assume the liability for any loss, but not to worry as it has never happened before." I informed him and other guests that I would not leave my luggage unattended and left my luggage inside my room. The hot air balloon ride was interesting! Ankara, Cappadocia, Ephesus, Asklepion, Troia and Bursa were all incredible and interesting. People were very friendly and I felt safe. The best part of the trip was the people we met and had fun while learning about the rich culture of Turkey. Travelling always comes with ups and downs. It is all part of the journey towards self-discovery and personal growth. Considering everything, this trip was memorable and aside from the few things mentioned, we strongly recommend it.

Cappadocia without Hot Air Balloons ride not worth the visit.
The Red and Green line day tours were quite disappointing. In totally we were driven to five places to shop ( Carpet, Leather goods, Ceramics, Candies, and Jewelry) . I felt like I spent more time in shops than scenic spots. The guide was doing his minimum except for selling products. The positive side is the Cave Hotel was really nice, best shower ever.

        Dream come true
The tour was incredible, they took us to wonderful places and everything was very well explained. The guide (Beylerbeyi Göbek) explained every detail to us with dates, names and past events of each place we visited. The Driver was always attentive and very kind and attentive to our needs. They treated us excellent

        Do not use
Really disappointing. I was told I would be picked from my hotel on booking and when booked I was told as i was in the old town then I could not be picked up as the bus was not able to access. .I had to get a taxi to the meeting point which cost £5 as it was 3am and I was not comfortable about walking there. i was collected 30 minutes late and ended up on a tour for Russian speakers. I do not speak Russian. I told the guide Sultan who did his best but his translation from Russian to English was minimal..I was the only English person on the coach and no one spoke to me. I have complained to Tourmania who say the guide was bilingual . They did not get my point. The guide had me down me as Russian speaking. His translations on learning I could not were minimal. All he was bothered about was selling extras. There was no effort to transfer me to the correct trip for English speakers. There was no refund offered. Do not use

        Highlight of turkey trip!
Hi travelers, If anyone is looking for a great time with easy travel arrangements. I highly recommend this company and tour. This was the highlight of my trip to Turkey — the communication between each tour activity, drivers, pick up, airport transfers, and hotel management was awesome. The camel ride, the hot air balloon, the cave hotel, and the tour around the city 100/10! The management at the cave hotel were so nice and accommodating! They do have photographers during the activities so bring some cash if you would like to purchase but can’t say enough how great this company was. If you are thinking about this company and tour, do it! It will be a memory you won’t forget!

Fantastic Experience in Cappadocia with a Great Tour Guide.
We took a two-day guided tour in Cappadocia. First of all, let me state that Ümit, our tour guide, was absolutely incredible in making this cultural trip a special one. He was very knowledgeable about both archeological and historical aspects of all the places we visited always open for questions and flexible interaction. Moreover, he was constantly making relevant historical comments as we drove through the area. Ask for him as your guide! Cappadocia is an extremely beautiful and interesting place to explore. It encompasses 3,000 years of history from the time of the Hattians, Hittites, Phrygians and then on to the Greeks, Romans, early Christians, Persians, and Ottomans to name a few civilizations who have left a mark in this area. Some relevant places were Keslik Monastery, Goreme Open-Air Museum, and the outstanding Kaymakli Underground City. Kudos to 1811 Cove Hotel, especially to its owner Hüseiyn, who maked us feel at home inside a room literally carved on the rock. Balloon experience was great with Tunjai at the helm. Unforgettable experience.

        Rush to Cappadocia
Cappadocia is certainly worth the visit but compressing into such a short period does not do it justice. The sights were beautiful but the visits to the ceramic and carpet places were not a good use of out time, especially considering a 3 am pick-up from our hotel the first day. The cave hotel was not that special.

Travel options to PEI double dipping
If you pre book your Ferry to PEI and Plan on leaving by the Bridge be aware that you will have to pay $86 for the Ferry and $50 for the bridge. Even though they say it's free to arrive and you only pay when you leave. Tourism PEI says that Ferry and Bridge are two separate companies. The issue is Pre-booking your spot on the Ferry. Leave extra early in your travels and sit and wait extra long to avoid the $86. Not good for travellers

Cappadocia 2 day Camel Safari and Hot Air Balloon tour
This was a great tour. Very different and interesting a tour of a lifetime personally for me. The camel safari was very modern but had that ancient feel as well. We were able to take pictures and videos. The Cappadocia Tour was amazing as well. Nice and wonderful sights with knowledgeable tour guides along with a great group of people that I met from different parts of the world and in the United States. I thoroughly enjoyed the cave hotel reservations that I stayed in at Vigor Cappadocia very chic and elegant hotel in a cave I just can't explain how satisfied I was with doing this 2 day tour in Cappadocia doing the camel safari. I was supposed to do the hot air balloon ride but it was canceled due to the weather. I was so disappointed but I understand. It is better to be safe than sorry. I wish I had that on my first day so if canceled I would get another shot to get to do it. I'm supposed to get a refund we'll see. The Red Tour was very informative and marvelous sites and wonders to behold. The lunch was absolutely amazing. All and all very good I would definitely suggest that if you're adventurous and want to do something different then this would be the tour for you.

Not traveling with El Corte Inglés or with a world tour deceived us. The trip was on August 5 and we had booked an Istanbul and Cappadocia circuit. The only excursion we booked from Spain because we were in danger of running out was the balloon for €1,280 for 4 people, the day before leaving on the trip. Surprise 24 hours later at the Istanbul airport they offer us the same excursion, with the same wholesaler, for €720 for the four of us and they also confirm that pre-booking makes no sense because they make pre-bookings for the entire group. Anyway, we asked the Corte Inglés de Pozuelo in Madrid for explanations and they told us that they will consult the wholesaler who in turn says that this is what it takes to reserve it precisely. A nonsense that we will complain about but with little hope. The meals on the circuits left a lot to be desired and some of the hotels too, tablecloths not changed for several days. We didn't even talk about the bus because they had us traveling for many hours with very low air and heat to die for. Anyway, and as a final conclusion, if you have to book a trip, do not do it with El Corte Inglés or a world tour. We are very used to traveling and with this agency we have made several trips in the past but we believe that the quality standards have dropped a lot and the clarity and support that English clients had are currently non-existent.

Dear Carmen First of all, you did not book your tour with us. Your booking came to our company from your agency in Mexico (Viajes El Corte Inglés) They sent your booking excluding balloon ride and travel with English speaking tour guide. After you requested Spanish speaking guide, we made update that service with charge of free (The cost of Spanish tour is %45 more than English speaking tour guides.) Your review is exactly about your agency in Mexico (Viajes El Corte Inglés). This is not about us. We are Turkish tour operator of Viator. We can not manage your business with Viajes El Corte Inglés.
