    Known locally as Yerebatan Sarayi (meaning Sunken Palace) or Yerebatan Sarnici (Sunken Cistern), this underground water cistern was the major water reservoir of Constantinople. The water was transported from the Belgrade Forest by the immense Byzantine aqueducts (Valens Aqueducts).

    Spice Bazaar aka Egyptian Bazaar is open everyday. The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays. Dolmabache Palace is closed on Mondays. Best deals for purchases are at the Slice Bazaar.

    Not sure if a tour would work for you as your landing at 3:15pm and if your landing at Ataturk, plan on at the very least another hour getting through immigration and out of the airport. All attractions close by 5 or 6 pm... More
