Our tour guide today was Unulu, and he picked us up today from our hotel in Capadoccia along with his driver. They were very punctual, and took us to Avanos, where we saw the pottery factory. We also saw the underground city and the fairy chimneys, rose valley at sunset, pidgeon valley and a palace. On the way, he gave us an excellent account of the history of Turkey and also the history of the places we visited. We also visited a lovely jewellery shop. We spent 5 hours in total through the day which included a stop for tea and snacks (which we opted for as opposed to a sit-down lunch). We would highly recommend him to anyone. We had a child of 6 years with us who was very happy with him and the driver as they paid attention to her. They were very efficient, polite and extremely flexible. We were very impressed ! Booked this tour as we did not want to be in tour bus for 6-7 hours. Communication was great . Guide and driver were on time . Lovely vehicle. Water provided. Both were personable and pleasant. Guide Ferda was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate bout her country. We visited: Goreme Open Air Museum Pasabag Valley Love Valley Imagination Valley Uchisar for a photo stop of the castle We did not want to go to Avanos which was included as we were exhausted from the heat and early pick up for the Balloon flight. Furthermore, we did not want to spend vacation time at the inevitable pottery/ carpet weaving/ jewellery stop and we didn’t need lunch ( had brunch on a farm through our hotel). Tour took around 4 hours . Guide did suggest Pigeon Valley a well, but we declined . Unfortunately I’m claustrophobic and couldn’t do an underground city but I’m sure it would fantastic. Great tour. Highly recommend.

Nafia was so great. She took us on a wonderful tour of Ephesus and the surrounding area. Great historical insight for the big sites plus all the best local spots you’d never know to check out otherwise. Highly recommend for any group. 5 out of 5.

Excursions in Turkey! After very successful private tours in Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, Rome, Venice and Barcelona, my wife and I decided that to fully enjoy Turkey we needed a private guide for our 2015 trip. I began email exchanges with Ilkay Candar last winter and he developed an itinerary that covered 3 regions with all the domestic flights and hotels. He was very accommodating and answered all of my questions. We wanted top accommodation for our Instanbul leg. Confirming and down payment were smooth. Our first guide was Mr Saban in Instanbul. I can't say enough positive things about him. We saw all the sights at the right times to avoid cruise ship lines, ate at great places he recommended, shopped at quality places in the markets with some negotiating help, all at a pace tailored to our wishes. Always on time, always pleasant and informative. Perfect English. Next up was Serkan in the Cappadocia region. Unfortunately our hot air balloon ride was canceled due to winds (not the tour's fault...and they credited our account for the cost) but Serkan took us to so many fascinating places on the ground that it didn't really matter. Underground city, churches carved into the rocks, amazing scenery....Teriffic food recommendations. Really a wonderful part of the country. Then to the coast and the ruins at Ephesus and other sites. Our central base was in a costal town and our guide was Mehmet. Another great one... The driver was amazing, negotiating mountain turns and finding city shortcuts with his Mercedes van. More great food, and a reasonable schedule that gave us afternoon down time to relax after trooping through the amazing ruins. We've been to Rome....the Turkish Roman ruins are much better preserved (and were not canibalized to build the Vatican). Then it was back to Istanbul for an overnight to Gallipoli and Troy, again with Mehmet. We stayed in Edirne and enjoyed two beautiful mosques and a medical museum the next day before driving back to Istanbul for a free day before returning home. All of the hotel arrangements, drivers, and details of the trip went perfectly. We wanted to leave some of our luggage in Istanbul after the first leg and they took care of it...one of the little great moments that makes travel so wonderful were the big smiles on the faces of the guys who were storing the luggage for us when they brought it to our van after arriving in Istanbul. We stayed in touch with Ilkay and Yuksel during all of the tour and made some adjustments as we went along. Besides seeing all the sites in our tour I feel that we learned so much about Turkey, its history and people. We cames at the end of Ramadan and all of our guides were happy to tell us about Islam and explain the details of the mosques we visited. And they were very knowledgable about the Christian and Jewish sites we visted as well. Friends who have been to Turkey raved about the people and loved the country....they were right. Visit Turkey for sure....and hire Excursions in Turkey to make your trip as memorable as ours.

We found this excursions company (Excursions in Turkey) in the web, while searching for tours of Turkey. I contacted them by email, back in May, inquiring about their services. The next day I received an email from Mr Savas, the CEO of the company, explaining their services and their credentials. Two days later, I received another email. This time from Mr Umut. He explained in details their services and vacation packages. When I told him that we were going to spend 1 week in Istanbul, prior to going to Bodrum, he even offered his help in finding a suitable hotel for us there. I haven't booked our vacation to Bodrum from the states. Upon arriving in Istanbul, we went to EXCURSIONS IN TURKEY offices to book our All our excursions in person. There, we were greeted by the Manager of the company, who showed us to Umut office. I have to say that I was impressed by Umut's hospitality and his eagerness to make our vacation a memorable one. He had 4 of his agents working on making all the necessary reservations for our vacation, plane, hotel , attraction tours, while Umut himself tried to find out what tours would we enjoy most and all the while entertaining us with drinks of our choice. He even treated us to lunch while his agents we scrambling to put our package together, as we wanted to leave for Bodrum the next day. After a few hours of real hard work of all the staff involved, our vacation was booked. The next day, Umut sent an Private VAN to pick us up and take us to the airport. The same thing happened at the Bodrum airport, the driver and the VAN were waiting for us to take us to the hotel. At the hotel, our room was overlooking the pool and the ocean - BREATHTAKING VIEW -. Everyday, Umut would call us to confirm the next day's tour and the pickup time. All the tours we had were private tours-just for us. The drivers/guides were very professional and knowledgable about the attractions. Umut has put together an unforgettable vacation for us.
