My family and I recently went on a private Black Sea Adventure Tour with Sunnova Travel, and we had a fantastic trip. Right from the beginning, the instructions for our airport meetup were clear, and the communication during the planning and tour phases was consistent, which we appreciated. We started in Trabzon at a hilltop restaurant with a splendid view of the city. We enjoyed Turkish tea and chatted with our tour hosts, Veysel and Muhammet. Visiting the Sumela Monastery was impressive, perched on the side of a mountain, and our guide Veysel did a fabulous job explaining its historical significance. The drive in the Highlands was picturesque, with stunning mountain views, tree-lined landscapes, and charming villages along the way. The waterfalls we encountered during our hikes were beautiful, and the hike itself was rewarding. Our stay at the Pokut Orion Boutique Hotel was very comfortable, and the hosts were so friendly and accommodating. Despite a rainy afternoon, we had a pleasant time playing backgammon with Muhammet. Ayes, the owner, prepared a delicious homemade Turkish dinner and a generous breakfast. Muhammet’s guitar playing and the hosts’ bagpipe performance added a lovely local touch. It was a special experience to visit Muhammet’s parents’ house and tea garden. There, we not only enjoyed tea but had the privilege of attempting to harvest tea leaves from the garden, some of us with more success than others. Throughout the trip, the restaurant recommendations consistently delivered authentic Turkish farm-to-table food, and we also developed a taste for Turkish tea. Overall, our tour with Sunnova Travel was a great experience, and we would recommend it to others looking for an enjoyable tour. Thank you for the memorable trip!

My experience was the best with Sunnova Travel. I reached out to them to arrange a private hiking trip to Kackar Mountain on very short notice, and they were very quick and responsive. We had the trip and went amazing! Our guides were very experienced, Ms Tuğba and Mr. Mohammed. They really made this trip so smooth and enjoyable with so many insights and information about the area. We are group of ex-schoolmates in the 6-series age group. Sunnova Travel in particular Mr Alican provide an excellent service in helping me customize our 6D/5N private tour to the Black Sea. Our tour package includes visits to Trabzon city, Sumela-Uzungol-Pokut-Ayder-Rize tea plantations - top of the visits will be Pokut Highlands which was highly recommended by Mr Alican. The Black Sea tour offers an amazing view coupled with some "adventurous" activities for the people from the 6-series. We have an experienced and cheerful tour guide Celal who not only gave an excellent tour guidance for the places that we visited but he also gave good suggestions of restaurants where we had our meals. Top of it he sang some traditional Turkish songs for us while playing the musical instrument. Our driver for the tour Erkan also took great care of us where he helped us "to finish the walks and climbs" of the tour. My recommendation for those who intend to go to the Black Sea - do not miss out Pokut - the experience to be above the clouds. A private tour of 7D/6N or more is recommended to allow you to follow the tour at a slower pace and allows you the the time to enjoy the tour. The Black Sea tour should not be done in a rush.

Mount Kackar summit was made as smooth as possible with Sunnova travel. Loved every moment of this tour. The landscape is very beautiful and you won't find a lot of traffic on this 4 day trek and that makes it even more magical.

I just returned from Sunnova Travel’s Trans Kaçkar tour. I spent 5 days in the mountains with the Mount Kaçkar (3937m) summit trek as highlight. Everything was arranged very well: the communication beforehand, the transportation and accommodation, as well as the guiding during the trek. The landscape is beautiful and the people are friendly. The hiking was challenging at times, but very rewarding. I hope to come back and explore more of the region in the future. I will definitely contact Sunnova Travel when I do come back. I would like to hereby thank our guide Muhammet, as well as Alican and the other people that assisted in this trek, for their professionalism and service.

Sunnova Travel is a professional and good agency. I was scanning for black sea tour when I came across Sunnova (it has great reviews). I began my inquiry through their whatsapp and Alican has been amazing in every question and changes I had. It was very easy to talk to him. During the tour, I learned from our tour guide that Alican polished all the documents so we don't encounter any problem. We had a treat of our life when we get to stay in a local villa (in the mountains) where breakfast was served by our hosts (Beyza and Beytul). We had the best muhlama and tasty breakfast (mainly from their garden). Their dad Mustafa treat us with good turkish coffee. My son had a good time picking pears with him. The transportation is comfortable and our Kaptan is truly amazing and professional especially on curvy mountain roads. He is always with a smile despite long drives and even taught us the traditional dance. My kids cannot get over the Laz Berry dessert he made us try. We had a great guide Volkan. We learned great history on the region (turkey overall) and intense customary/cultural insight. He endured and answer willingly even my kids silliest queries. We felt like family during the 3 days. He was very flexible and professional. When we asked to not be in super touristy places he arranged that we don't missed out on the best places but balanced it where he knows we will enjoy (experience and good food). Our trip was postponed for two years but we maintained communications till we finally made the trip in May 2022. By then we became internet friends and meeting Alican felt like greeting an old friend. Sunnova planned and made sure our days were interesting, fun and flexible. We were picked up every morning with a car stocked with drinks and snacks and we always felt safe and pampered. Best accommodation was Aren Cave Hotel in Cappdocia but I would not recommend Dersaaadet Hotel in Istanbul. The kindness and thoroughness of Alican, Selcuk and Suzan to assure our needs were met went over and beyond, we highly recommend them to design your trip, you will not be disappointed. We will always feel experiencing Turkey as more than just a trip, it will hold a special place in our hearts as we became friends with Alican, Selcuk and Suzan. Hope to return one day soon.

In April, my adult daughter and I took a 4 day/3night private tour out of Trabzon with Zeynep as our guide and Emir as our driver. It was a WONDERFUL way to visit the Black Sea region. Emir was a skilled and patient driver driving through mountainous areas where we would not be comfortable driving ourselves. We visited the Sumela Monastery, Aya Sophia (Trabzon), Atatürk Mansion, Uzungöl and Ayder. We stayed at a different place each night which allowed us to see more in each area. We were treated to a visit to a tea garden where we took part in harvesting tea leaves and were welcomed into the home of Alican's brother. We felt like we were traveling with and visiting family. Zeynep was the perfect guide and we left Trabzon with treasured memories and friendship.

I arranged my trip to turkey (Black Sea package) with Sunnova travels and it was a life time experience. Mr.Alican prepared the whole package as per our needs and comfort. Once in turkey the assigned guide and driver treated us like family and made sure we enjoyed every bit of our vacation without any worries. They all went out of the way to make us feel at home. Alican worked with me to arrange a two day transport from Istanbul to Ankara to Cappadocia. It was wonderful. We felt well taken care of with a calm and pleasant driver and Alican personally greeted us at the beginning. The car itself was marvelous and made us feel safe, comfortable, creating a memorable road trip.
